Well, I have left my beloved Brooklyn for the Left Coast after a great goodbye show on July 14th at Monkeytown with my fellow collaborators, the Glass Bees and others: Frogwell, Lou Rossi, and Carlos' Red Shoes.
Also a track of mine called SILO was released on a beautiful CD box set that can be found at www.Vibrofiles.com called 'Plastic People'. The CD is a collection of sound pieces by conceptual artists who use sound in their work, a group defined by the hybridization of sound and the visual elements. I guess that i am often found creating some nice circular patterns between the art studio and the sound lab.
Currently, I'm still moving in, settling into the Berkeley/Oakland area. So much sunshine! wow.
As for new music, I performed a fun set on KALX UC Berkeley radio with Raub Roy (HoraFlora) in early August with other experimental music acts. Our rehearsals may most likely end up as a self-released CD.
Also I just started classes at Mills College for my MFA in Electronic Music and Recording Media. I'm very excited about my studies and projects!
In October, I will be back in NYC to lead Transition Soundwalks at Union Square --October 17-18th at 1:30pm as part of the curated art festival, Art in Odd Places. Details will be up Sept. 15th here: http://www.artinoddplaces.org/
