DJ Pepo is one of ....Spain....’s most influential DJs and has always been a genuine reference for electronic music. Back in the early nineties when most people wondered about the origins of today’s electronic music, Pepo was already making a name for himself as a resident DJ in Madrid’s best clubs. Today he is known for his dynamic sets of hard techno and his precise technical ability on the mixers. Pepo frequently shares the booth with well-known artists like Ben Sims, Pet Duo, Surgeon and Christian Varela throughout Spain and in countries like Holland, Ireland, Hungary, Italy, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Portugal. He is also a regular headliner at clubs like CODE, Florida135, La Real, TechnoFlash, Industrial Copera, etc…and festivals like Monegros, Aquasella, TechnoInside (PT), Electrosonic or Awakenings (NL).....

Pepo’s musical career has spanned more than two decades, and he has played a variety of musical styles, including funky, house, jazz, and of course, techno. He has been inspired by artists like Front 242 and Orbital, with whom he has also shared a line up on various occasions. Pepo’s various musical experience have made him into a very versatile discjockey, but it’s his passion and skill for techno that has kept Pepo in the forefront of ....Spain....’s electronic music scene.....

Pepo began spinning in 1987 and was playing in ....Madrid....’s best clubs by the early 90s. His residencies in emblematic venues like ..Saratoga.., Attica, ..New World.. and Van Vas facilitated Pepo’s climb to national popularity amongst club-goers and promoters alike. However, it was at ..Attica.. where Pepo began to stand out for his dark and sinister sessions of hard techno.....

Pepo jumped over to Ibiza in 1995 where he performed at Space, Amnesia and Qu. During this period, Pepo also crossed the border to play in Italy. By 1998 Pepo was widely-considered one of Spain’s techno pioneers and a definite favorite, particularly in the north where he continues to delight fans with his celebrated closing sets at Technoflash and ..La Real... ....

Aside from his ..Ibiza.. premiere, 1995 is also marked by Pepo’s first experiences producing music. This first track, called “Indignao” with the label Explorer, inspired Pepo to produce more and more tracks, leading to the creation of his own labels, CPU and Hunter. Pepo has used his labels to transmit the sounds and culture of electronic music, which he believes to be a mode of expression, an attitude and a lifestyle. Because of this belief, each one of Pepo’s tracks is a feeling or a thought captured in musical notes.....

Pepo has also produced successful tracks on other European labels like Pornographic and Panic Grove.....

Pepo’s first mix CD, Xpression (Vol.4 Rxxistance), hit the market in 2003 and experienced huge sales. The following year saw the birth of Pepo’s third label, Inspired Records, where he allowed techno’s new, evolved sounds to take shape.....

Pepo’s energy inside and out of the DJ booth was noted by UGP, an American clothing brand geared towards youths interested in skate boarding and biking. It was Pepo’s outgoing personality and large fan base that inspired UGP to sponsor Pepo.....
