Righto, don't really post here much but what the hell? I just thought I'd throw in my two cents.
So,
ScriptFrenzy has just begun, Friday, June 1. I was fretting because I hadn't had anything organized, sorting stuff out about Tafe, appointments, hanging out etc, and I started my script. My characters are evolving, and I don't exactly know what it's about, but it's basically an assassin gets assassinated and the details behind that. I guess I shouldn't have said that but hey it happens right at the start of the film...script...is at the start of the script. Flipt!
I'm amazed. Just write. People say that talking to yourself is the first sign of madness, but hey, it sure helps you write. And isn't it amazing that a lot of writer/sactors/directors who write their own screenplays had a form of dementia in their late years or during their life?
Pfft. Laugh if you want - my jokes aren't funny I don't think, but SF is hella fun.
You need to do 20,000 words (equivalent of 120 pages) within the month, which isn't actually too bad. You could do it in 20 days with 1000 words a day and have ten days break/editing/whatever. I actually ended up by the end of the night writing 2620 words. So today was a break, but the story is still bubbling in my little cauldron called my brain, and the witching hour could never have been more fun.
Until next time,
Calum, Winner of Achievement in Bullshitting the Audience
PS Yes, Danielle, you're still the proof-reader of my script
