Yo what's good?? Philosophy here with some updates for May. I've been slacking on my blog posting, this would be much more interesting with a constant flow of content. I'll try my best to keep it more current. With that said since my last M.E.D. post we were the Indie Spotlight on HoodHype.com and got some love with an extra blog post with our video for "Money". Two more great things were the completion on "Charlie Brown" and "Do You" both which were posted on AllHipHop.com. "Charlie Brown" did well however "Do You" produced by The Kickdrums hit over 5000 plays. That's DOPE shyt! We are still in a constant state of banging out tracks in the lab, so expect even more new shit coming soon. You may also have caught "Charlie Brown" in a Digiwaxx blast, which brought us a nice bit of exposure to DJ's. We just did a drop for DJ Sherry in Frankfurt, Germany (What up fam?), just keeping the ball rolling. If you are a DJ and want drops from M.E.D. you can send your drop script to onlyforpromo[at]gmail.com. Peace!

What it do???? It's been a month since my last post, and we've been hard at work. If you were around last month our single "Money" was featured on HoodHype.com and then put in a vote for the hottest track of episode #85. Thanks to all you that voted, WE WON!!! The prize for winning consisted of a LIVE interview on Episode #87 which you can peep HERE , it also included a spot on the home page as a featured artist which should be up soon. The interview went well, thanks to the whole HoodHype Crew and all the listeners that have reached out on the web. We have received some more placement online as well in a couple of different locations. First we have our song "Cipher" posted here at BlogXilla and second we have two tracks "Cipher" and "We On A Roll" posted at STR8HIPHOP.COM(Each song name is a link to their postings). Please visit any of the sites, listen and as always PLEASE leave comments/feedback. Two weeks ago we finished three new songs "Chasing The Cool", "Michigan Minute", and "When You Get There". We posted "Chasing The Cool" as a FREE download HERE and it's doing far better than expected. We have been receiving tons of beats via BeatsForMED@GMail.com thanks for all your submissions. We will check them all as time permits. I have been noticing an increase in overall online traffic, that's GREAT!!! Still have a s*** load of tracks to work on so expect way more material soon. We are trying to get in with established Detroit producers, serious cats only. If you know any send em' our way. Black Milk...Black Milk....where are you???? I think that's it, shot outs to DJ Don Q and DJ ShortStop and anybody else out here spinning our records!!!! We have some juicy s*** dropping soon so we will keep you busy. Don't forget to follow @MentalElastic on Twitter!!! I'm Out. ---------------- Now playing: Black Milk - Bounce via FoxyTunes

Yo today I was of all things reading through a dictionary and stumbled upon many definitions for "work" There was one that accurately describes work when used like "I'm putting in work." "sustained physical or mental effort to overcome obstacles and achieve an objective or result" So when I say I'm putting in work or we're putting in work that's exactly what I mean. The physical/mental efforts include such things as lack of sleep, performing, fast food, web activity, heavy driving, writing, recording, worrying, pounding the streets with promotion, design, etc. The obstacles can be money, the industry, competition, schedules, exposure, etc. The end result or objective in my mind is the ability to make THIS my career, my dream, that which consumes me. To provide for my family and myself with my most beloved form of expression. Maybe I'm on some gay shit but that's how I feel personally. I have been rapping for 13 years and never once gave it up, and don't plan on it....ever. That's why this is the DynaBlog and I can express my feelings and so can the other members of M.E.D. I'm sure they will contribute soon, if not I'll start talking mad shit about em' until they have to come defend themselves :). Practice for tonight for our feature at The Shelter Friday night. Please vote for us on HoodHype if you haven't, hell try again if it'll let you click HERE The new myspace is getting mad love, Frank made a great choice with the designer, click HERE to see it. So last night I'm chillin'....right? Then I get this call...right? Then it's Frankie going "You ready for The Shelter Friday" and I'm all like " The Shelter ain't ready for us!" He is sadly mistaken if he has any inclination that we won't tear that s*** DOWN!!!! Then again why would he sign us to his label if he even questioned such a thing. I have been waiting for a show to come our way for a minute being that I totally gave up on booking shows in K-Zoo. We have a very strong following in Kalamazoo and I love it but, the more you perform the less people are interested in coming to your shows. I'm targeting around Bronco Bash time to do some K-Zoo s***. Keep your ears to the street or your eyes on the DynaBlog. I'm rambling so anyways, The Shelter(St. Andrews Hall) Friday night, that's official! I'm super excited about it and if you aren't familiar with St. Andrews here is a little information Visionary dug up.... "St. Andrews Hall and the Shelter have a rich musical history. From the early new wave shows of the '80's such as Depeche Mode, The Cure, and New Order to the alternative giants REM, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Janes Addiction, Smashing Pumpkins, and Soundgarden, "The Hall" has always been on the cutting edge of cool. Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Green Day have all played there long before they were big. With its perfect sightlines and acoustics to the best sound systems for this size venue anywhere in the country, St. Andrews continues to win awards for best venue in the city of Detroit year after year. Still as relevant as it was 25 years ago, St. A's boasts constant A-List Emo, Punk, Indy, DJ and rap talent and the longest running clubnight in the city, "3 Floors of Fun. Three floors of DJ's spinning hip hop of all kinds for the 1000 regular partygoers. Recent Hip Hop shows include Jay-Z, Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, Nas, Talib Kweli, and Mos Def." Pretty interesting stuff K.T.! I have been once this year and I can't wait to get back this weekend. Vote @ HoodHype.com for M.E.D., Check the new MySpace layout, and download FREE BUY THIS! I can't wait till the voting is over so I can stop posting that s*** everywhere. Thanks to everyone who looked out and voted, you are appreciated!
