It is with sadness that everythingwesayisfact have decided to no longer be a band. There's a variety of reasons, but I'm not going to go into them. Hopefully you'll see us doing other things in the near future. Thanks to everyone who's ever put us on, and the bands we've played with and enjoyed, including Destructo Swarmbots, Action Beat, Dirty Summer, Grozny, Copy Haho, Hyena, and several others.
It's been a fun year, hopefully see you in different circumstances.

Current mood: animated
Yo, an update.
We played in Glasgow. It was fun. Thanks to Cry Parrot and Electropapknit for putting it on, and the other bands for being fantastic. We got lost on the way to the venue despite being dropped off right in front of it. A poor display by us. When we made it, good times were had. Massive thanks to Nicola for giving us somewhere to stay and a FOPP to go to in the morning after. I bought a Sigur Rós CD and an ATP Curated By Shellac thing, Conor got some DVDs. He says they're really good. The show got recorded, it'll be on winningspermparty.com soon!
The week after, we played our first show at Drummonds, we were pretty apprehensive but it was a great night. The busiest I've seen Drummonds since I saw ¡Forward, Russia! and Johnny Foreigner, a few months back. I was very tired so we cured this by eating at Pizza Hut and I discovered that Red Bull's actually quite good. I feel like a boy racer or something. It was a fun show, I've discovered that I can talk to crowds without it being awkward and cringeworthy. That was good to learn. We had to miss Greater The Shadow though, that's rubbish! Sorry.
We're looking for shows. Whether they be in your kitchen, in your face, in your town, in your venue. We have to charge £1000 and have a rider though.
I wore a special everythingwesayisfact t-shirt at Drummonds - would anyone buy one? They'd say "EVERYTHING I SAY IS FACT" on them and it would make people think that you're smart and things. Leave a comment if you'd buy one, we'd actually find it really funny to sell t-shirts when we've not released a CD yet.
That's pretty much everything. Summer's about to happen. Can you feel it?
...The torrential rain in Stonehaven over the last few days says no, but this evening's skyline says yes.
Lovely.

Category: Dreams and the Supernatural
Hi! An update.
We've got some new songs we wish to unravel and release at the innocent public. There's two pretty good new ones, and they're called "Life Support Vs Tech Support" and "Half-Inch Chaffinch" just now. We might change those names, who knows, we live crazeh lives.
We've got ourself someone to do PR, arranging gigs etc. His name is Mr Hero Management, he's our second top friend.
On the subject of gigs we might have some good news following bad news. Let's do the bad news first.
The Tunnels! We can't play there anymore. It's not because we did anything bad, it's because some other people did something bad, which wasn't so good of them. I don't know the details, nor do I want to go into them, but we're not going to be playing there until we're a bit older.
We do have some plans for places which aren't Aberdeen, keep your eyes peeled, as well as every other part of you. Well, not every part.
Until then, it's exam time, so you're not going to hear any new songs or see us at gigs until we're done with those. But after that? Woah. It's all going to be going on.
Excellent! euan x

Hi there folks
As of tomorrow, everythingwesayisfact is one year old. It's bizarre, and we've no idea where the time's gone, but there's a few people we need to thank. It feels like Bafta night!
Thanks to: Martyn Rollo, Mr and Mrs Maclean for the use of their garage, Copy Haho, PVH, we are the physics (for saying that we're angry and fun), ELECTROPAPKNIT, Aberdeen Gig Promotions, Hyena, Dirty Summer, Hen and everyone at The Tunnels, Jordie Bokor, Craig and Wilko in Taping Hands To Faces, Das Wanderlust, Al Chivers, Greater The Shadow, David Fletcher (Epitaph Of Clem Atkins) and the various other bands we've played with.
Thanks to Pizza Hut on Union Street for providing our pre-show dinner for most of the time. The barstaff at the Tunnels for putting up with our friends (haha) and giving us water.
Thanks to the RnB guitar shop for looking at my poor, battered guitar with disgust, and thanks to Bruce Millers who subsequently fixed it without ripping me off!
Thanks also to Cornettos, which have provided us with Ice Cream greatness that we couldn't have done without.
I'm quite sentimental. Here's to hopefully another few years of this, with more shows, more releases and more fun times.
With much love, euan x

Bit of a Q+A with Leith.fm’s finest, Al Chivers, about the band and the future. Al presents an Alternative radio programme on leith.fm, on Sundays, between 2 and 4pm.
Al: Hi!
euan: Hello.
H ow have you been?
I’ve been okay, we’ve been struggling a bit to get shows recently, but we’ll hopefully get a few things sorted.
Hopefully get something recorded too
So is that the next aim for Everythingwesayisfact?
Yeah. Getting a decent EP out would be ideal. We’ve played several shows at the Tunnels in Aberdeen, but we’re looking to spread our wings a bit, so to speak, after the summer. Hopefully get to play in places like Glasgow and Edinburgh. The goal really, is to make a record that we’d enjoy listening to, play with bands we like a lot, and get as many people to listen to our music as we can really. We’ve already played with the likes of Hyena and Copy Haho, two bands we adore, so things are going quite well so far.
So, you’re planning to record soon, but what’s it like being an Aberdeen band, do you feel a little isolated?
Isolated’s an unusual way of putting it, but I suppose there is an element of that. Being a smaller city, there are always going to be less oppurtunities than in the likes of Glasgow or London, but I think the scene’s improving quite a lot. For the last couple of years, Aberdeen’s music scene has been dominated by dodgy metal, but I think that’s lessening now. Someone told us at a gig that if we were from New York, we’d be really popular. I doubt that, but it’s a thought, at least.
D o you think you received that comment because of your uncompromising sound? I mean it’s fearsome, but with an element of fun!
Haha! Yes, I guess so, that’s the sound we’re going for. We’ve been compared to everyone from Yeah Yeah Yeahs to Mogwai, via Lightning Bolt. I’m not sure about that comment really, I don’t know what to make of it.
W ell if you don’t mind me saying it’s even scarier how young you are as well... it’s impressive
Thanks a lot! Age is gradually becoming more and more of a problem, since there are venues who won’t let us play because of it. I don’t know, I don’t think we really considered our age when we started making music, we just wanted to make a racket.
But it’s good that people don’t see it as a problem when they listen to us, that it doesn’t put anyone off, because that’d be disappointing.
S o what influences you to make the music you do?
Well, about a year ago, we formed the band purely because our love of the blood brothers gave us the energy to play our instruments as loud as we could, and have fun doing it. Of course, we sound nothing like them, but they inspired us to make the music we do. Other influences vary quite a lot. There’s a lot of post-rock influence in there, the likes of Mogwai, and Up-C Down-C Left-C Right-C ABC + start influenced my guitar playing quite a lot, I think. But there’s a lot of other stuff in there as well. There’s influences of things like Fugazi, Pavement, Sebadoh. And noisy bands like PVH and Lightning Bolt are fairly obvious influences.
Y ou mentioned Copy Haho and PVH, what’s this Stonehaven business all about. Are all bands who hail from the town about to take over?
Haha, yes! It’d appear so. I don’t know where it’s come from, basically Mackie Academy’s Talent Shows only really approve of bad Indie, cover bands or dodgy metal. And there’s a big homemade dance music scene as well. It’s strange that a town like Stonehaven produces such musical talent, I have no idea where it’s come from. Aberdeen being only 20 minutes away on the train helps a great deal, haha
But yeah, the success of those bands you asked about is fantastic, Dedalus were also from here as well, they looked like they were going to be pretty big, but they split up.
But yes, we’re taking over.
I hope so. So just a few more questions Euan, when can we expect you guys to be releasing something and what format / length do you think you’re going to go for?
We hope to have something recorded by the summer, maybe a 3 or 4 track EP. We’ve got plenty of songs we want to record, so it should be an easy enough process. It’d be cool to release something on vinyl, but we’re not popular enough to actually make a profit from doing that, haha
Do you think you’ll go the label route local or otherwise, or just go DIY?
DIY, most likely. It’d obviously be nice to have a label to help us in the process, but that’s unlikely
W ell, some of the best releases at the moment are DIY. So finally, when are you going to start carving it up down here in Edinburgh, I still haven’t seen you guys play live!
Whenever we’re offered, basically. It’d be nice to go down there sometime soon, the furthest we’ve travelled to a gig is Kirkcaldy, so we’d like to improve on that. Not saying that gig wasn’t good, it was a nice place to play our first show.
But yes, we’d love to play Edinburgh some time.
Thanks Al!
Thanks Euan!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Thanks again to Al for that, leave a comment or whatever you folks do.
