Well, after a long wait, Whit Friday is finally upon us. Meaning one thing. band contest night! All the bands have been making their last-minute preperations, and all the comittee members and volunteers will be working all day at the Grotton Pavilion to make sure this fabulous day goes brilliantly. Well, we couldn't ask for better weather so far! It's 8.05am and the sun is shining all over Saddleworth, with not a cloud in the sky. Almost reminiscent of 2006! The programmes have been sold across Grotton, and if you are still without them, you can buy them at the Grotton Newsagents. The cost is only 1.50! What a bargain. The buntin's are up, and the signs across Grotton. huge posters flying outside the pub as well. We hope to see everyone out in Grotton tonight, for a fantastic Whit Friday!
