Where to start?
I have never before been so excited about our music. I have been recording non stop, and swamped with unmixed sessions. We are knocking them out one by one. We recently started using Logic Pro 8 and the result has been great. I am used to protools and other programs but we have way too many tracks for an Mbox. Like a friend told me, switching software is good for the creativity.
The new album should have about 25 to 30 tracks. There's more than that now but we may take some off the list. My personal goal the project is to incorporate more diverse genera's to the recordings. What we have available online right now is mostly trip hop; dub-step; Live PA; and jungle.
Without taking away from our current sound, I will incorporating more world percussion, jazz, blues and "found sound" to our recordings. Bringing the dub-step to a more interesting level, Some of what I've heard lately has become boring me, But as with all genera's, time will change it, and evolve into a complete different sound.
Most of all we're having fun and looking forward to playing shows this summer around austin. Let us know if an opportunity comes about where you would need us to play.
I'm also practicing again with Highpaerbowlee, this side project has more crazy inventive production than anything I've ever been a part of. We've got more than 3 electronic rigs going, as well with a huge list of instruments like drums, bass guitar, saxophone and a bunch more. Were also trying to update the gear list with more old school synths, circuit bent toy casio's and noise making keyboards. Perhaps a moog voyager and a prophet 08 in the next year. We also have our eyes on some other toys but those are secrets we won't yet release.
Holy Fuck is awesome btw, look them up if you get a chance.
Please keep listening and thank you all for the support lately, And keep your ears clean and happy. we'll need you at our shows.
