*** The following is an absolutely true message reply (I sent on Facebook) from myself, Adam Wagener, to an aspiring actress. She had asked me to keep our messages private, so I'm not posting her name here, and I also may have deleted other names for the sake of privacy ***  I used [] "brackets" where i altered information.

I avoid horror. It's a way to sell tickets and get a career started but it's not glamous. It is an old Hollywood joke that you should avoid doing a character that dies in his/her 1st appearance.

It makes sense. It's harder for u to earn any residuals if you don't live to the end. Ask anyone who worked with Neve Campbell on the Scream trilogy.

I wouldn't be surprised if [the film] goes to completion in a year and two of the females [are] involved with a kissing or sex scene. Some of these low budget horror films are done so poorly they go to the LCD lowest common denominator (sex/violence) to try to sell.

Just consider the fact that I gave Shane Ryan $65 for a producer credit for his feature Amateur Porn Star Killer 3. I am now trying to get my credit removed from the IMDB because I couldn't watch it from start to finish with a friend of mine. It disturbed me that much. Audiences want to be entertained or taught some kind of lesson. They don't want to be disturbed and left scratching their heads as to why they paid $10 for crap.

[If watching two people have sex is your form of entertainment, don't add me to your friends list.]

The lesson I learned [from funding APSK3] was that women shouldn't take rides from strangers with video cameras offering to be playful and tape them for money and sex. I didn't need a 3rd episode featuring an actual porn star to teach me that. Did it sell? Did Shane lose friends in the process? All I know is I have already heard enough negative feedback about it.  [Note:  All I did was "paypal" Shane $65 to make the movie.]

Even so, [horror films] could still be a start for u and u have to decide what u r worth.

I declared more than once that I would not do a guy/guy kissing scene and full frontal for me costs $1,000,000 plus residuals of worldwide and internet sales. You have to decide if it's worth it to you based on where u r at in your life right now and how it may affect u in the future. If u don't already have an explanation for why u will do it, then I'd avoid doing it. That's just my opinion.

Don't get taken advantage of. If they say they liked u for the part, the next question will be when can u start and how little can they pay u if anything. That's when u should carefully step up and draw your lines "in the sand" or get them on paper. Don't let them get u excited over dinner and a buyout contract.

Get a % if u are "cast" even if it's 1%. They may lose money but u will work harder knowing u could get that 1%.

The Adam Bomb Show is the creation of Adam J. Wagener. The title's origin comes from the nickname, "Adam Bomb", given to Adam by his co-slave-laborers when he had his first part-time job at a Burger King. The following true story explains how Adam got this show started.

Without much else to do, and at the behest of his dad, Adam volunteered on a weekly basis at the Comcast studio in Lompoc, California. From Santa Maria, it was a miserable 60-minute round-trip drive, plus about 3 hours of videotaping in a stuffy, old cable-access studio.

Former Comcast employee Joe Tripe trained Adam to use the equipment and to direct. Adam also began acting as the character "Bombeck" on Jeff Wynne's program, The Freak Out Show. (Episodes featuring Bombeck are still airing, to date.)

Adam grew weary of directing and producing his dad's controversial and politically abberant program, On Second Thought. Adam had much difficulty understanding the complex conspiracy theories his father professed during the program, nor had much interest in the corrupt politics that his father William discussed on the show.

Other voluteer producers at the TV studio strongly suggested that Adam start his own program. Armed with only a camcorder, but able to utilize a brand new public access TV studio, Adam Bomb aired his first 25 minute show featuring sketch comedy, a music video, a segment on the dangers of drinking soft drinks, and an unusual sports clip of backyard pool surfing. This production aired on Comcast channel 25 in Adam's hometown of Santa Maria, October of 2004.

A lone ranger, Adam continued creating content for his program. He added local music, skating, surfing, and goofy stuff by adventuring around the central coast, and eventually began sharing and borrowing footage with other producers.

Adam's early vision was to have a show similar to The Tom Green Show, but without many friends (or people even aware of the existence of a public access studio) Adam continued making his program, funded by only his wallet. He occasionally edited his program for up to 8 hours at a time. Feedback began to trickle in from the community.

After two years of producing his own program, and not much cash to show for it (aside from pawning a few DVDs) Adam was ready to give up. Many people said there was "no money in public access". Adam began posting "threatening" notes on his MySpace, stating he was going to "kill" his TV show.

About that time, Adam met budding filmmakers Tom Moore and Brett Poquette at a local gym. Adam talked to Tom about wanting to end his show, when Tom convinced Adam it was worthwhile to not only keep the show going, but to also make it a live program! Adam's vision of a "late" show like The Tom Green Show was finally realized.

Adam, Tom, Brett, and other crew members began rehearsals at SMC-TV. They started the show by searching out a variety of talent, as well as highlighting some of their own creative efforts in sketch comedy.

The show's new format caught on quickly, changed it's name to The Adam Bomb Show Live (also called "Adam Bomb Live")and the show aired live in Santa Maria on Monday nights at 7pm.

Tom's friend, Dana Ward of Dark Little World Productions, painted a cardboard background for the set. With a crew that included Art Guerrero, Oscar Castro, Gwen Mason, Alisha Reinhart, Brett Poquette as Saul Rosenblat, Rex Lee on the audio board, Amanda Szymzcak, Jimmy Knowlton, Michael Cohen, Kurt Miller as Elmo, and Shanti Whitney, The Adam Bomb Show Live completed a total of 24 episodes.

Audience members from around Santa Maria and beyond began to come to the small station. The studio seated about 15 people max and some nights the overflow audience watched from the hallway and the green room.

The show included live music each night from various local bands, weird news stories, sock puppet theater, and special guests. Since it's inception, Adam and some of the crew have moved to Los Angeles to get serious about filmmaking.  The show no longer airs on public access in Santa Maria, however, occasional clips and short films featuring Adam and his friends do air on the local channels.

What do all the kiddies like to watch?
[The Adam Bomb Show!  The Adam Bomb Show!]  (4 times)

What's up what's up what's up?
My name's Adam Bomb
I may be really white
But I get my groove on

The ladies be talkin'
My homie's be rockin'
The kiddies be watchin'
And the cops be stoppin' me

When I'm pimpin' in my Chevy S-10
Ok I can't really be pimpin' if my rides broken
It's hard to be fly, when you got pretty blue eyes
But at least I'm a guy with a show on 25

What do all the kiddies like to watch? (x4)
I already told you my name's Adam Bomb
You can watch my show, but don't tell your mom
The girlies be stalkin' and my boots are a knockin'
Even Jesus is watchin' and the cops be stoppin' me

When I'm rolling film and I feel like a con
Ok, I can't really be filming with the lens cap on
It's hard to be fly when you got pretty blue eyes
But at least I'm a guy with a show on 25

Yeah everybody, this is Adam Bomb, I'm in your house, thanks for tuning in, are you ready to start the show?  Now... here we go!

What do all the kiddies like to watch?
