Current mood:stark naked
Could it be? Indeed it could, and is.

Tomorrow morning I escape the confines of my little house upon the hill, and meander in a number of other midwestern states (Michigan, Ohio), from whence I shall connect with my Favorite Person in the World, and board a big jetliner. Europa ahoy! This, to be certain, will be swell.

Furthermore, and perhaps of utmost importance, I'm coming home.  Once every couple of months just hasn't been enough, yuh know?  I long to breathe that familiar polluted air, get stuck in traffic for hours, and lounge in a messy garage for the rest of my high school career.  And the new era?  I gather it will be filled with all kinds of academia, action, merriment, music, and gaiety.  I look forward to fighting the system with new friends, and drinking organic coffee with old ones. I look forward to dual enrollment, minimun wage, and listening to the enchanting Miki on her various stages. I look forward to MOBILITY (something we've lacked in previous years), and an intense sense of freedom under mi padre's reign.

Ofcourse, most of all, I look forward to being with all of you people; you know who you are.

Current mood:  hopeful
Oi!  ...the one word that could reasonably sum up my night.

So, I was invited to a show in Orlando.  Me, Jen, Heather, and Justin (the latter two composing one half of the PSL Punk band Offensive Actions) were off early in the afternoon for GBH (they were big in the eighties) at the Social, a tiny little venue in the heart of downtown Orlando.

The night essentially went without flaw.  The music was good, as was the company.  I will say, that Justin and Heather love to brawl with eachother over pretty much nothing and everything, as far as I could see. We got in around three, and I can reasonably count this as my first "club" experience, in a trashy little hole-in-the-wall joint. Interesting to say the least.

But for my point!  ...punks are my kinda folks.  Jen I have known for forever, and we're still best friends tried and true.  Heather and Justin are swell kids, fun to be around.  And all this surprises even myself.  As much as I am certainly not into the brawling and oi-ing (traditional punk rock hooliganry), I find that I get along with that subculture oddly well.  This makes me happe'.

I do say, a new ground for hippie-punk relations has been reached!
