Well hello there everyone!!!

The Whiskey Saints are navigating the cosmos for a great run of shows this summer.
Check the schedule for more details but the next couple of shows are Saturday June 2nd ACOUSTIC at Grandview Cafe.  June 16th is ELECTRIC at Lucky's in Hilliard.

So, now that you know when to see us, there is a story that has to be told, it's too remarkable to not share.

It's a long weekend so we decide to road trip to see some peeps.
We're getting on the highway, I mean just merging onto it, and we see a Highway Patrol pull along side us with lights on.  I look to my left and see a Police Helicopter flying parallel to us looking pretty much right at us...

We then notice an older model pick-up truck swerving lanes about 5 car-lengths in front of us.  We slow down because now there is an ODOT truck running blocker for the crusier.  Quickly a rolling roadblock of about 15-20 passenger vehicles are following the cruiser and ODOT truck at about 45 mph.  I realize that we are in the middle of a high speed chase!!!

Suddenly,  the pick-up truck veers hard left and hits the cement median - immediately bouncing across all 4 lanes of traffic, coming to a smoky stop on the side of the highway.  All the vehicles are now stopped.
The driver gets out and takes what looks like about 1/2 of a step to run when the officer grabs him by the elbow.  We see him pat the guy down, thinking that we're glad it didn't turn into a shoot out!!
So finally the officer has him cuffed and spins him around towards the cruiser.
As the driver turns we see that he is crying and has pissed his pants.  Ha!!!  Not kidding, full-on, pants soaked, bawling like a baby kind of stuff...
So freakin' surreal

Stay with me...

So we are on the way home now.
We had our cool 'Cops' moment that will always be used to identify that weekend.  We told it many times while there and shared our amazement at what we had witnessed.  We're ready to get home - maybe about 10 minutes into the drive when I noticed a white Porsche doing what must be around 90-100mph coming up behind me.  Keep in mind, this is a holiday weekend and the highway is fairly congested.  I don't even have a chance to say "Look at this freakin' idiot" when he is off the highway on the left side, running on the paved shoulder with warning strips going "Whoooomb  Whooomb..." as he flies around 4 lanes of traffic, then cuts into the fast lane and started playing slalom with the traffic.  This guy was moving.  Just as he is gone, we come up on a hill and see a Highway Patrol car with it's flashers on and think, "They musta bagged that Porsche".  Nope, the officer was helping change a flat tire on a boat trailer...

About 5 miles down the road we see the Porsche on the side of the road parked behind a motorcycle.  There are four people, in their 20-30s, they are talking animatedly and smiling, seeming to be walking back to their vehicles after having some sort of exchange.  Very perplexing... we're not sure what the deal was, but it was crazy.  Would LOVE to know what that was all about...

Eventually the motorcycle passed us again at a normal speed and we never saw the Porsche again.

We finally made it home about an hour ago and I am still thinking about the odds of the possibility of having two events that are so unusual happen on one trip?

later

Final preparations are in progress as we get ready for the debut of the Electric Whiskey Saints. Sure, we've played all kinds of shows as an acoustic act, but now we're bringing the heat, plugging in and rocking out.

It's Tuesday night, the gig is Saturday and we're all getting pumped for it, we can't wait to play these songs and bring the sound to the public.

Be sure to check out the schedule, new gigs have been added including The Brewery District Festival and Red White and Boom at the Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe.

See ya soon...

So the Acoustic Whiskey Saints have opened the floodgates, listened to all the requests, and we now have started a full band in the form of the Electric Whiskey Saints.

Why?
Even though the acoustic format has worked out very well for us, we have wanted to explore a full band for quite some time. It finally all came together in early 2007. Stubbs, Nixon, Dave, and Schaeff sat down and figured out how to best realize a full band situation. Enter Jim Detrick on keyboards. Jim had played with Stubbs and Schaeff in their previous original project Clyde. Dave and Nixon had been tearing up the midwest in their original/cover project Zero Rain. The demise of Clyde and Zero Rain opened the wormhole for The Electric Whiskey Saints to soar through. If you're worried about losing the intimacy of the acoustic shows, don't sweat it. We're going to keep both acoustic and electric gigs in the mix to make sure that Whiskey Saints brand of fun is accessible to all that want to enjoy in whatever format they prefer.

When?
Now, The Electric Whiskey Saints are currently booking gigs, with the debut on May 12th at Frog Bear & Wild Boar in the arena district of Columbus, Ohio. We would love to have everyone come out and see us, of course not EVERYONE will fit in FBWB, so come early to make sure you get in.

What?
There will be some overlap of songs between the acoustic and electric projects, however with the creation of the electric band we wanted to take advantage of using keyboards and electronics to replicate today's modern rock sound.

Need to hit the Cash Machine? We got you covered.

Want to Learn to Fly? We'll get you airborne.

Feel like getting Closer? We'll take you there.

Hungry Like the Wolf? We'll feed that craving.

We're looking to hit this new project pretty hard, be sure to come check it out, we're pretty sure you're gonna dig this...

See ya around...
