I will probably be going down to MEPS Monday and Tuesday, hopefully Ill enlist and start my life out where it needs to be. Im kinda nervous about it seeing on how if I do swear in, it'll be a big jumo for me, civ. to military just like that, and then I hurry and wait to ship off too boot, gives me time to get in better shape and learn everything I need to know, at least most of it I hope. So, right now IDK when Im going to boot, but Im nervous about it but at the ssame time excited. Im scared of leaving my friends behind, i kow a lot of people whoes enlisted will agree with me, but right now theres not a lot of civ. pay coming in right now with the economy the way it is. Dang, it is going by fast, and as I look back on what little of the year has gone by Im realizing theres a lot I could have done except for slaking off like I did. Thing is I could have been a soldier by now, but I chose to be a sailor and its scary to think about it now. But I'll be fine, I have a lot of support from family and friends I know they arent gonna let me give up.

Hey every one. So just a little update on my life right now. I went to my recruiters last friday and evedently I only need to lose at lease one inch before enlisting, so Im kinda nervous and excited at the same time. When I leave for boot it'll be the first time away from home with just myself, surrounded by people I dont know, being thrown a lot of responsibilty that Im not used to having, no internet, limited phone calls home if I get any at all beside the first day I arrive at G.L. So pretty much no contact with the civ. life through electronics only letters, so I hope I get a lot of those lol.

Well thats pretty much it, Im going to wait to go to MEPS before I start getting to overly nervous about it.

Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?

ARISTOTLE:
It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.

BUDDHA:
Asking this question denies your own chicken nature.

THE BIBLE:
And God came down from the heavens and He said unto the chicken, "Thou shalt cross the road." And the chicken crossed the road and there was much rejoicing.

CAPTAIN JAMES T. KIRK:
To boldly go where no chicken has gone before.

GEORGE W. BUSH
I don't think I should have to answer that question.

BILL CLINTON:
I did not cross the road with THAT chicken. What do you mean by chicken? Could you define "chicken" please?

DARWIN:
Chickens, over great periods of time, have been naturally selected in such a way that they are now genetically dispositioned to cross roads.

EINSTEIN:
Whether the chicken crossed the road or the road moved beneath the chicken is a matter of relativity.

RALPH WALDO EMERSON:
The chicken did not cross the road. It transcended it.

LOUIS FARRAKHAN:
The road, you will see, represents the black man. The chicken 'crossed' the black man in order to trample him and keep him down.

FREUD:
The fact that you are at all concerned that the chicken crossed the road reveals your underlying sexual insecurity.

BILL GATES:
I have just released the new eChicken 2008, which will not only cross roads, but will also lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your checkbook; and Internet Explorer is an inextricable part of eChicken!

GRANDPA:
In my day, we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Someone told us that the chicken had crossed the road, and that was good enough for us.

ERNEST HEMINGWAY:
To die. In the rain. Alone.

DR. SEUSS:
Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes! The chicken crossed the road but why it crossed, I've not been told.

Revelations

By: Ricky Ford

O captain my captain, what bullocks is this?

Long floawing black hair, and a mustache to whit?

A man or woman, I can' tell from a look,

flat chested, big brown eyes, what am I to do?

Do I check it's trousers, or attack with a hook?

It bothered me greatly I just had to know!

I gathered my courag and asked in post haste,

"How dare you imply I have no gender, but since you are so kind I'll give you a show!"

You'll be glad to hear "it" had a gender.

This ghastly creatre did drp trousers and render all speech incapable.

Oh how I wish to grind my eyes to paste!

A gaping black man and tentacles to boot!

Wha the hell was his strange creature, I didnt care,

I emeptied my belly and prepared to shoot.

I would kill it and rid the world of such disgusting thing

My fingers faltered, I couldnt do it. I sighed and left.

I looked in my poket and found to my surprise,

a chiny new ring glistening in the sunrise.

I looked about for the creature but i was no wheres to be found

but an anelic stone staure sood in the center of the town.

I had a revelation that day, onever judfe a monster by its cover.

hair and scaly, mean and slimy, furry and angry

but some are simply misunderstood.
