Dr. Sketchy's is returning to Chicago after a brief hiatus.  Studio L'amour is now the proud new home of Dr. Sketchy's.  The first date for dirty drawing will be March 15th.  Save the date!  Model and details to be released soon.

This is so exciting!
Michelle

PS.  Three cheers for Ginny Fizz and Lime Ricky, who were holding Sketchy's Chicago down for over a year.  I will hope to do both of you proud.

Past DSC Supporters,

Just a quick announcement to let all of you know that Dr. Sketchy's Chicago is no more. It's time for Lime Rickey and me to hang it up. We'd normally have an event coming up this week, so if you were planning on going, don't. Or do, but for drinks, not drawing.

A huge thanks to Five Star for hosting us every month!

And we couldn't have done it without the models. Thanks again to:
* Michelle L'amour
* Mimi First
* Sasha Darling
* Fanny Tastic
* Gigi Deluxe
* Vivian Velvet
* Lady Ginger
* Dominique Trixx
* Frenchie Kiss
* Holly Wouldn't
* Cherokee Rose
* Rhonda Vous
* Mina Mechante
* Deirdre Doll, and
* Hot Toddy

If you or anyone you know may be interested in seeing the Chicago branch of Dr. Sketchy's continue, please drop us a line or contact the founder, Molly Crabapple, directly. She's at mollycrabapple@gmail.com

Thanks to all of *you* for your support over the last year+. Keep on drawing...

We'd love to have you on our stage! (Uh, pool table...)

DS Chicago is the 4th Saturday of every month. Upcoming openings include:

September 27
October 25
November 22

You get the idea. All you need is an interesting look, two outfits, and the ability to sit still for relatively long periods of time in poses of your choosing.

And, we pay you!

The Gay Lesbian Artist Network, Chicago (GLANCe) and Big Chicks will be introducing a GLBT themed session of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School to the north side of Chicago.

In exchange for $10, artists are treated to burlesque dancers, carnies and fetish divas modeling in elaborate costumes for a life-drawing session with a twist. During breaks artists compete for booze and prizes.

This event will feature a 3 hour life-drawing session with 2 models. The theme for the event will be "Naughty and Bawdy, Tool Time Taboo". Our models will be making the construction zone a little sexier.

The session will take place at Big Chicks on 5024 N. Sheridan Road on January 19, 2007, from 3 pm to 6 pm. A donation of $10 for participation is suggested. Those attending must provide their own sketch pads and materials.

Started in Brooklyn by artist and burlesque girl Molly Crabapple, Dr. Sketchy's now has more than 40 branches around the globe, including Hollywood, London, Berlin, Edinburgh, Toronto, Auckland, and Melbourne. Dr. Sketchy's Chicago is the first branch to include a regularly scheduled GLBT theme. Dr. Sketchy's Chicago meets at Five Star Bar & Grill at 1424 W. Chicago Avenue every fourth Saturday for burlesque life-drawing sessions. All Dr. Sketchy sessions are GLBT friendly.
