If you're looking for something Sci-Fi to read, then you need look no further than the first novel from my fellow Silver Leaf Books authors, Mike Lynch and Brandon Barr, entitled "When the Sky Fell."

Here's what some folk have had to say about it so far:

"An engaging sci-fi blend of military and politics...Fast paced novel for fans of military science fiction"  - Mike Resnick, Hugo and Nebula Award Winning Author.

"What a promising first novel from Mike Lynch and Brandon Barr - exciting space battles, convincing characters we can care about, sense of wonder and real heart.  If only the space opera I grew up on had been this human." - Bruce McAllister, 2007 Hugo Award Nominee.

"Compelling heroes, interesting allies, dastardly villains, wonderful pacing and lovely descriptions of night skies glimpsed on distant planets.  If you love 23rd-century space adventures, When the Sky Fell is for you." - Kris Stoever, daughter of Mercury Astronaut, Scott Carpenter.

"Exuberant space opera in the style of the Golden Age of Sci-Fi." - Michael Z. Williamson, author of Freehold.

With reviews like that, what are you waiting for, pick up your copy here.

When the Sky Fell is also available for the Amazon Kindle.  The Kindle version can be found here.

...for book two of the U.L.F. series!
All I need do now is sign on the dotted line, and hopefully, if all goes according to plan, "Project U.L.F. - Reacquisition" will be a September release.
I'm excited, and I'll keep you all posted of developments.

This made me chuckle and actually, it's pretty accurate.
Warning. Not Safe for Work. Some strong language.

I saw this on another website and it amused me somewhat so I thought I'd share it.
This is the reason why English is such a hard language to learn.

We must polish the Polish furniture.
He could lead if he would get the lead out.
The farm was used to produce produce.
The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.
After dessert, the soldier decided to desert his post in the desert.
No time like the present to present the present.
A bass and a trout were painted on the head of the bass drum.
When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes.
I did not object to the object.
The insurance was invalid for the invalid.
The bandage was wound around the wound.
There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.
They were too close to the door to close it.
The buck does funny things when the does are present.
To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow.
The wind was too strong to wind the sail.
After a number of injections my jaw got number.
Upon seeing the tear in my clothes I shed a tear.
I had to subject the subject to a series of tests.
How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?
I live next to the stadium where bands play live.
A minute is a minute part of a day.

I'm very pleased to announce that Project U.L.F. is available as a digital book on the Amazon Kindle.

I've been looking forward to seeing the book available in a downloadable format and now that day has arrived.  Not quite sure how I feel about seeing all my hard work reduced to 677 kilobytes.

Anyway, if you're interested, you can get your Kindle version of the book here

Long before I moved to the US, a colleague of mine ran a small spin off business creating music videos for rock bands.  I helped him out a little bit, doing some editing and camera work and recently came across some of the videos I had worked on for a band called Orange Goblin up on YouTube.  So if you want to know what I used to do in a past life in my spare time, check it out.

I edited this video to the single "Some you win, Some you lose"

And I was one of six cameramen who shot this gig, and then editor for the final piece.

Rock on!

Those of you who have read other entries in this blog know I am a big fan of the Transformers movie.

If you are like me and can't wait for the second movie to come out, here's a little something that might entertain in the meantime.  This is uber-cool.
