If you missed Emerson Drive at the ACM Awards be sure to check out the reruns on GAC. They hit the Orange Carpet and David even let out some surprise news. Brad presented New Male Vocalst with Clay Walker and if you looked close, you could see the guys in a couple camera pans of the audience.

Current mood:  excited
In better late than never news, Emerson Drive is nominated for their very first GRAMMY! They are up for Country Performance with Vocals for their number-one single, "Moments!" Congratulations, guys! The awards will be in February, but usually the country awards aren't broadcasted and the guys will NOT be in attendance because they will be on the road this year.

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the lack of updates. I'm currently trying to upload photos on to the site and then as soon as I finally get them up, I'm going to attempt to do something with this page! This isn't going to be a "fan site" -- it's more of a companion to the KMCS.com website, but it needs more stuff on here, so I will be working on that!

Any suggestions or comments, just post. I will be adding some new pictures on here too soon.

Sorry for the long wait!

To clear up an earlier post, Emerson Drive now consists of the 5 members. They do have a bassist on the road with them however. His name is Arlo Gilliam and is a great addition to the band and was a friend of Patrick's (as well as the other E-drive guys). As of now he isn't an "official" member of Emerson Drive but he's open and willing to meeting Emerson Drive fans, so go up and say hello if you see him wandering around. Emerson Drive is also selling Arlo's CDs at their merch table and it's a good CD so feel free to go see Jared and get yourself a copy and check it out.

If you haven't "met" Arlo yet, go check him  (and his CD) out here: http://www.myspace.com/arlogilliammusic He will be playing the bass parts on E-drive's new CD and may start taking part in the Emerson Drive meet and greets in the new year. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he becomes an official member of Emerson Drive! (And no, he's not Canadian-- he's a Tennessee boy!)

Current mood:  crushed

I tried to post this yesterday, but my computer wouldn't let me. I'm sure you have all heard the news about Patrick Bourque's passing, but if you haven't this came from www.emersondrive.com  We'll miss you so much Patrick! Rest in peace and we'll meet again someday.

From the Emerson Drive Family

While en route to a show in Nebraska, Emerson Drive band members learned early this morning that their friend and former band member Patrick Bourque died suddenly last night at his home in Canada. His body is at a hospital at this time and no official details have been made available as to the circumstances surrounding his death. The brothers of Emerson Drive are shocked and grieving. Patrick was the band's bass player until he resigned in August. He had been living and working in Canada since leaving Emerson Drive.

Congrats to the E-drive boys who took home 3 of the 4 awards they were nominated for at the Canadian Country Music Awards in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Emerson Drive opened the show with their 1 single in the US, "Moments." They then went to the podium three times during the night to accept their awards for "Group/Duo of the Year," "Single of the Year (Moments)" and "Video of the Year (Moments)."

Unfortuntely this was the first year that Emerson Drive was shut out in the All Star Band awards and the first time in four years that all 5 (Brad not being eligible) E-drive guys were nominated.

Emerson Drive also had a One on One interview with CMT Canada's Paul Maguire as well.

Emerson Drive Reacts To CMA Nomination
Emerson Drive found out about their two CMA nominations this morning while rolling down the highway. "We got the wake up call of the year this morning!! We were on our bus headed to our gig in Ohio when we got a call telling us about our CMA nominations for Vocal Group of the Year and Music Video of the Year. What a great way to wake up!" says Brad Mates of Emerson Drive.

Emerson Drive has been busy lately. They just taped an episode of the new hit TV series on TLC called "LA Ink." The band will be featured for the entire hour while they get "inked" to celebrate their very first 1 record "Moments." The band treats Kat Von D and her team of talented tattoo artists to an acoustic version of the hit song. The episode will air on Tuesday Sept. 4th. The series debut of "LA Ink" was the highest debut rated in the history for TLC, which connects with more than 94 million homes in North America alone.

Emerson Drive will be the show opener for the CCMA Awards which will be broadcast on Great American Country on Monday Sept. 10th. The band is nominated for four CCMA awards in the categories of Single of the Year, Album of the Year, CMT Video of the Year and Group or Duo of the Year. The band also has 5 nominations for the CCMA All Star Band.

The band's new single "You Still Own Me" was recently released to country radio and their hot summer tour is resulting in sold out and record-breaking crowds.

The Country Music Association (CMA) award nominations were announced today and Emerson Drive scored their first two nominations for the CMA Awards. They are nominated for group of the year and also for video of the year for their video "Moments" with director (and fellow Canadian) Steven Goldmann.

Good luck Emerson Drive!
