hey everyone,
our fans have been asking lots of questions like "when is the record coming out?", "how do we get a hard copy?" and "when is Royden playing final shows?". So, i figured i would post a blog with all the details of what Royden and its members are up to.
The record is OUT... it is only available for digital download, but you can basically download it from anywhere. We put it up on Rapidshare.com but it was taken down. We may put it up again with some unreleased tracks that have yet to see the light of day as well as our first ORIGINAL demos from 2002.
You can not get a PHYSICAL copy of the record but we encourage that you download(for free if possible) and distribute it to your friends.
As you can tell, we dont really check the Myspace that often anymore, but when we do we try to get back to as many people as possible about the record and what we are up to. Kerry and Justin are playing in new projects and Nick, Tim and Treebo are starting a project called Hollywood Reckless. so look out for updates on those from the band. Danny is back playing for his original band.
We may or may not be recording a final Royden track that was written right before the band broke up called "Return of the Stork" in March. Though the band has no plans to play future shows and tours, we are open to play some shows in the TRI_STATE area surrounding NYC. If you want Royden to play by you email/talk to promoters in your area and email us at wearepipsqueak@yahoo.com and maybe we can all get together and set something up. The original line up of Royden is still BEST FRIENDS and will remain forever so playing shows together is not out of the question. we love playing together.
if you have any other questions/ photos of the band or anything else you would like to tell us you can message us here.. we check it about once a week.. or you can email us at wearepipsqueak@yahoo.com... we thank all our fans for sticking with us and just want everyone to know that we didnt break up because of troubles within the band but because of our record labels lack of support and "interest" in the band after they made us wait to put out In The House... keep looking here for updates.. because even though for now we are "broken up" who knows what the future may hold for the members of Royden Stork...

Taken from http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=294419! Royden - In the House of Attics Record Label: Hopeless Records Release Date: October 23, 2007 Why some bands break through in the melodic hardcore/post punk realm like My Chemical Romance and others struggle for recognition is an absolute riddle when you consider Royden's second release In the House of Attics from Hopeless Records. Royden's crew from Rockaway, New Jersey keep their gnarly guitar shreds and clenching vocals at a melodic pitch making the band tough without being barbaric. They hold their music within defined boundaries keeping everything at a level of having fun. The band's racing rhythms and curvaceous guitar turns on tracks like "Villains and Scoundrels" and "All Hallows Eve" have hardcore clasps that don't hurt the ears but stimulates the senses. The album moves into softer tempos and ambient tones on numbers like "The West or the End of the World Part 2" and "A Little Razor Wire Piece of Heaven" sowing sinuous guitar lines and hammering drum kicks. Band members Steve "Treebo" Pultz (lead vocals), Kerry Truswicz (bass), Tim Brummer(guitar), Justin Sherwood (guitar), and Nick Pultz (drums) produce racy pulsations and sweet guitar shreds like on the track "Broken Star Satellite." The songs have stocky rhythms and iron weight in the density of the guitar layers. Treebo's vocals show waves of tension and lively theatrics on tunes like "The Best Laid Plans Fall Apart Most Quickly" and "Kid Tested" with as much stimulation as My Chemical Romance. In The House of Attics is Royden's follow up to the band's debut album Best Friends Our Worst Enemies. Their post punk/hardcore leanings have a melodic-pop tendency, which though it follows a general template, it is one worth repeating, something like silk screening a photo which always makes the picture look much more attractive. Silk screening never goes out of style for that reason and neither does Royden's style of hard rock. The band's metal rock enriched guitars and rhythms have a vivid likeness to a number of other bands on the market, but Royden still pull out an impressive recording with In the House of Attics. EDITED NAMES OF ACTUAL MEMBERS ON THE RECORD!!!

hey everyone,
Lately, there have been a lot of rumors about Royden breaking up. Well.. it is true. After 4 years of being a band we have decided to part our seperate ways with Hopeless Records and each other. There has been internal band troubles and troubles with the band and the release of our CD from Hopeless Records that have been ongoing for the past 2 years and continue to occur now. BE WEARY OF LABELS FOLKS. So that being said we will be finishing our last shows in December/January and possibly posting a ne song or 2 and maybe even some old unreleased stuff and b sides. ALL FOR FREE DOWNLOAD HERE. also since Hopeless is NOT putting out a physical copy of our cd in stores... you can email them to find out why www.hopelessrecords.com... we may or may not have put the CD up for free and we encourage you all to go out and get our cd from a friend and pass it on to others. we are sorry to all our fans and hope that most of you can make it out to these last shows... i'll keep every one posted on updates and such...
Thanks
Treebo and Royden

Hey everyone, Dboy here to give u a tour blog update from our tour we just finished with all our new friends in The high Court and Peachcake!
We are now home from our month long tour, we unfortunately had to drop off the last 5 dates of the tour cuz we are broke and need money! haha. but our drive to california was an interesting adventure. we encounterd space aliens and cactus and made friends in mars! we chilled in california for about a week at our boy leos house and we partied and played some awesome shows.
We then rode a bull to texas and met up with some cowboys and battled indians. needless to say we were successfull in the battle and gained about 20 new fans who bought cd's after our long struggle with the leader, stufankitankoma. hes now our bitch and feeds us buffalo for lunch.
Drives were long and weary, and us sweaty men get lonely and makeout for countless amounts of hours..ok just kidding, but the drives did suck. There has been alot of gayness with the other bands on the tour, but its all good.Personally my favorite part of the tour was florida, i love it there and i used to live there for about 8 months and it was really nice to go back and see some friends i havent seen in a while. if it wasnt for the rest of royden would have stayed their! haha.
We then traveled about 5 hours to atlanta georgia where we played the masquerade, and i , the brave soldier iam, showered in the grimiest of grimey showers in the backstage area. I had to. i was so dirty and my hair looked like i had sex for 2 days straight. i might have some kind of foot disease but is ok,im still alive. noone else would shower in it.
As we ventured back to the east coast, things got better and so did food. dollar menus save our lives and friends came to hang out with us. we partied hard, we wrecked equipment, and crashed at alot walmarts, thank god for walmarts.. well i am not much of a partier, but when we got back home yesterday I DAMN SURE DID. i missed being home and now that iam home i want to see all my friends and then leave for tour again, which we will have a bunchshit load of new tourdates coming soon.
expect alot of things to be happening in the royden courtyard soon, babies. untill then, keep the love coming. see you all soon! peace. <33.

Book Description:Indie rock music burst onto the scene in the early '80s with bands like Sonic Youth. A decade later, the music of Pavement, Guided By Voices, and Radiohead brought tons of new converts. Today, indie rock has exploded across all media, from popular TV shows such as The O.C. to numerous commercials and sold-out stadium tours. The poetry and stories in REVOLUTION ON CANVAS, VOLUME 2 range from the hysterically funny to the achingly sad and are written by the biggest names in indie rock today. The Deftones, Fall Out Boy Armor for Sleep, Motion City Soundtrack, Atreyu, and A Static Lullaby are just some of the bands included inthe second installment of this extraordinary and fascinating series. Royden's very own Kerry T has a piece, entitled "Sometimes I Travel To You" published in this fine volume! It's being released on May 30th, 2007, but you can pre-order it here for only $10.39!Go buy it !!

BROKEN STAR SATELLITE turn off the lights don't even shut your eyes there's shadows in the doorway marching on these footsteps in time we wait, they don't show... yeah yeah... as we look for satellites just hold me tonight
i will never ask you this these words that cross your lips still bleed from every wound these battle scars surround you and all of this is... i'd swear to these stars that fall down this is all that we have left these shivers in the spine lines sinking in deceit again, baby i would never ask you this, hold me we watch the stars collide while drowning in the moonlight
cuz i let go love me again cuz i can't go as we look for satellites i would never ask you this just hold me tonight we watch the stars collide cover your eyes and hold me tonight
i will never ask you this this curse that crossed your lips we asked for nothing more we asked for nothing at all we'll choke you... i'd swear to the stars that fall down this is all that we have left these slivers in these headlights blacking out the stars again, baby i would never ask you this, hold me we watch the stars collide while drowning by the moonlight
cuz i let go love me again cuz i can't go as we look for satellites i would never ask you this just hold me tonight we watch the stars collide cover your eyes i can't go on living this way
KID TESTED the unaffected dialect on shattered walls of glass the curtains call for one more song when this photograph is more then words can describe the lies that lie in everyone we write
it's just a IV drip in a hospital bed the urgency has taken all that is left a collision well content a medicated decadence at night we dance until our bodies hit the ground the orchestration of a near accident we're lost in lights and sound
the room explodes around us now to the beating of your heart the hospital is tearing down tonight we dance until our bodies hit the ground we know now who you are this time
separate our bodies collide we know now who you are replicate the marks this surgeon's scalpel slice the scars
VILLAINS AND SCOUNDRELS the darkest valleys sirens speak, flashes lights off the empty streets you better watch yourself tonight we find them dancing on the graves, they are the sould that cant be saved this is as close as it gets, c'mon this is the blood on your hands, c'mon
(i feel abandoned right now)
this is the way i'm buried somewhere between these ghosts that never left, we're tearing at these open wounds again
air raider's tactics, tracer sights, strap metal blasts, distract, disguise you better watch yourself tonight we are the souls we are the dead the second sight was all she said "lets make this body electric, c'mon," you know your bodies electric, c'mon your lips were still coated in the color of sin, your grey eyes were porcalin.... this is the way i feel right now your lips were coated, yeah there are coated (in sin) your sinister transisters collapse, i'm barely breathing now...
MURDER OF AN ALBATROSS The chair by the window. The darkness bleeding moonlight. Dripping over her silhouette. She enters, walks slowly. The mark of everyone. Slips off her dress and no one ever sees.
This winters never been as cold as you. Tonight I try. As her stare passes over me and cuts me to my spine. Youre only showing me half the way tonight. So now its time to say goodbye.
No warning, left her eyes, are filled with deep red tears. Hard swallowed secret lipstick smears. She has her hair pulled back. Shes such a beautiful girl. With strechmarks above her eyelids. A lovely look that kills. Her blood and secrets spills out on the cabin floor. They scream for more. Motives are undecided. The unsuspecting victim takes the floors. As they scream for more, more more. Sing to us. She takes a bow as the curtains close

Hey everyone, as you have probably noticed, we have taken a considerable amount of time off. And if ou read AP, you also notice that our CD did not come out on April 10th. The past 6 months we have been struggling to keep a drummer in the band. Kelly left the band in November and Nick came back to fill in until we found someone again. We booked a tour for after the holidays and we were ready to go. Long story short, nick left the band shortly before the tour was supposed to kick off. We all took some down time tto collect our thoughts and we pushed th release of the album back again.
but now we are back to touring and hopeull releasing the record in a few months. I'll be posting our summer our schedule as soon as he dates start getting confirmed. Also all our NJ fans. We will be plaing shows around here in May before we hit the road again. Also, prior to the CD being released we will start releasing Chapters to the book based after the CD "In The House Of Attics" as well as CD art and Track Order....
we will also be postingg a few new tracks and maybe even a cover song too... so check in from time to time tto see whats up witth the Royden band...
