It's been a while since I've posted anything.  I've been busy as hell!!  I am trying to bring back the old school hardcore roots to teach these young bucks what its all about!!  Since all of us old pricks don't come out to shows anymore to support.....everything is going well.  A lot of these newer bands are great and there is a nice mix going on.  Any input would be appreciated.  I've also got different genres coming through, but hardcore and metal are my roots!!  See ya.

Someone commented the other day on by business.  It has been digging at me for three days.  If it was a few years ago and I wasn't focused on staying outta trouble........you know the rest.  I know it's only a comment.  I want to explain something.  I am NOT becoming a tycoon from doing what I do.  Let's get one thing straight, I love music.  It's been part of my life since the beginning.  I want to do anything that I can to help.  I want to expose people to all styles of music.  I want to surround myself with all aspects of the industry.  I'd be stupid to say that I didn't want to make money, but in turn, I invest in the scene.  It's frustrating, and aggravating to find out the ungrateful fucks that I have helped, talking shit behind my back.  I guess they have to because they are afraid to face to face.  My roots are in Metal and Hardcore.  I have experimented in Hip Hop, comedy, and special events.  If it sounds like a good time I will put it together.  If you do not agree with what I am doing, please delete yourself from my list.  I will continue to do what I am doing with or without your help.  I have lost more than half of these pukes will ever make, but I try.  I should be a little more selfish in certain situations.  I work 3 jobs barely making my nut every month, and I still do this.  Got anything to say??

The upstate NY scene doesn't have a vast population like many of the major markets.  There seems to be a million jerk-offs trying to make money off the hardcore and metal kids.  Here's the problem.......the bands are STUPID.  Everyone wants to play 20 times a month.  So this is what you do:  Go on tour!!  Don't play the same fucking clubs every weekend.  The bands are the reason that these promoters succeed.  There is only a couple of promoters worth playing for and when these bands play continuosly  they make their crowds smaller and effect the GOOD shows.  These bands wonder why they never get paid.  YOU ARE NOT IN DEMAND!!  You are acting as filler for people that don't care about you.  I am sick of taking the hit in my wallet everytime I schedule a decent line-up and find that these idiots are playing the week or two before for a guy that was never even at a show in his life!!  Ralph Renna has 20+ years behind him and is on the radio giving you guys props and doing FREE shows and you can't even bring 10 people.  Ted has been doing this for 20 years and I finally realize why he rarely rewards locals with nationals.  Because there are too many hands in the pot.  I have been here for 20+ years as well.  Upstate bands get off your asses and work!!  I never see anyone flyering or trying to make a name for themselves.  Stop relying on those of us that do the right thing.  This scene can fail or overcome based on your actions. Do the right thing.
