well....we played our last show (for 2005 anyway...) and it was possibly the best and worst we've ever sounded...if you can imagine such a thing. things got a little sloppy as the night progressed and the glasses from the free drinks we acquired piled up on stage. i had to make my way through the rough and rowdy (and equally as trashed) crowd for a pee break at some point during the second set and when i came back the mafia (or some of it) was on stage rokkin'. we also had fireball and ezperanza entertain us with one of fireball's beautiful new songs...he then did 'the hook up' with us, in perfect harmony. steph's infection started it all off...rippin' it up...one man, and his guitar. it was amazing...dj strangecharm gave jim a break somewhere in the madness as well...and mason...well...he took his shirt off. so there you have it. it was a fabulous send off for esperanza who will be out there...in yo' town. so if you see a beautiful gypsy girl sitting on the corner singing her heart out...give a shout...that's my girl.
love to you, esperanza, we miss you already!!!!

holy crap ! those ladies were amazing...it's amazing how much ac/dc is instantly recalled when necessary. it's just there, somewhere in the back of everyone's mind. we had a blast playing to the somewhat daunting, butt rock crowd that showed up for the bell's. they were very nice though. didn't even really mind when we started with a slow, sensitive ballad about a boy named ryan. and although no one (save the die hard HO! fans...thank you kids) was really dancing...they seemed to get riled up on the last two songs,,,pushing forward and screaming and such. the new guy held his own, and then some. and then we all head banged the night away...well until the inevitable crowd change...the loon cannout refuse the d...at any cost. so. the butt grinding ensued...what a night....one more gig before esperanza heads south. thanks you everbodies....
loves,
kdogg

wassup everybody....we had a fantasmic weekend starting with one last jamm session at dot's (i'm gonna miss that place and all dot's kick ass energy)...then a junk show party at the marlin...those boys gave away 500 bucks to some dudes wearing buttless chaps...and then sunday...there was a whole lot of rokkin' at the dump. the uhaul showed up and the sound guys hooked us up (CJG..hugs and kisses, Mr. Crass, always a pleasure)...and away we went....we thought for sure the man was going to shut us down...the very angry dump truck driver was dialing up the po-po right as we started to rip...and sure enough, the fuzz rolled in just as we screeched into 'free trade'...but we had 'bill' there to put those poor coppers at ease (how man police references can i use in one paragraph?)...so we decided to stay at the one site instead of traveling around town....it was a beautiful thing, watching the peops sift through the garbage, pull up a chair to listen in for a bit, many people decorated the 'stage area' with their finds...it was very sweet. so many local acts, nancy pants, nepenthe, dj strangecharm, fireball, a scurvies/junk show collarborative, hilly billy mafia...it was a very good time. i think we should do it every sept. 11.
here's to a great fall...

man that small axe worked us up into some kind of crazy pagan frenzy at the annex!!!! only the coolest of kids were there. that all ages show was not well publicized or something but we rocked it anyhow. 58 roadsigns opened it up and i gotta say those kids can really rip faces to shreds. what rokks the hardest about that is that even though we were few we were shaken down to the core. the ho put the drummer in the middle of the room to alieviate the stupendous sound in that place and so we played facing ben the whole time. it felt like he was too far away but i think the sound improved. the small core of friends and other bands at the show made for licentious insanity on the dance floor that i have not seen around here EVAH. that was fun. small axe has got some wacky shit, yo. i'm glad we got to play with them. don't know what's on line for the ho for the rest of the fall. i'm taking off on the gypsy trail soon so we'll have a break for winter. i'll have some more songs up here soon. maybe later today. big love and rage ♥ esperanza

The Poin After - holy shizzle....thanks too all you peops who came out and supported this 'blossom' event...all the bands were specatcular and the djs....mmm mmmm. q dizzle...makin' the girlies wiggle....not a bad venue. If only we could persuade them to make it an all ages venue all the time cuz the kiddies need a place to rokk too...thanks to the honies, cjg and BIG D for all the support...another great party and my neck was oh so sore the next day...a true sign of a worthy show. The HO! got down with Mason and I must say....he was very, very good....next up...Pirate Stage in Girdwood...get there if you can and do your thing....Fairbanks represent...! ‰ KDOGG
