Our song 'Firefly' is to feature in season 3 of ABC TV Prime Time series 'Lincoln Heights'!!!!! We'll let you know when to tune in - it's a great, big, fat feature, so we're happier than someone who's reached into his pocket to throw out an old receipt and has pulled out a $100 bill!!!! Hey Guys,
2008 has been a great year for us and we have some cool things planned for next year as well!
We are currently "on lockdown" recording our NEW "Drive In Of Dreams" EP due out in Feb 2009! "Drive In Of Dreams" will contain NEW Kite tracks "Static" , "Weird Science", "Manic" and some great remixes of songs from "Up In The Air" / "Thirteen Degrees North". We are really stoked about the new Kite stuff and the direction the songs are taking.
Also stay tuned here on Myspace for our "Kite Live From The Canefield" ONLINE concert in Feb 2009!
Kite will be playing support for James Blunt on Jan 14th at the Wildey Gymnasium and we are promising to give you guys a great show and represent BIM to the fullest!

Just to let you know that the reason Brian's hair is standing on end in the new picture is because one of those wires on the ground was live and...errr...well...he's fine now. Has abit of a twitch still happening in the left eye, but other than that he's fine. Top marks to Jaryd for capturing the moment on film.

KITE TO PLAY SUPPORT FOR JAMES BLUNT!!!

Hey guys we are thrilled that our song 'Firefly' continues to do us proud!
We just got news that 'Firefly'has been featured on CBS PRIMETIME SERIES'Jericho'!! The show JERICHO is a drama about what happens in the aftermath of a nuclear explosion in the once peaceful town of Jericho... Visit www.cbs.com/primetime/jericho/ for more info on the show.
It started for Kite in 2005 with the placement on CBS Primetime TV Show 'The Ghost Wisperer', then, last Year, Canadian TV CBC featured 'Up In THe Air' and 'Wake Up' 'from our debut album on the TV series 'Degrassi'. Firefly featured, once again, on the MOVIE 'The Stone Angel' earlier this year. And now it's 'Firefly' on the CBS Prime Time TV Show 'Jericho'!!
We want to thank all of you guys for believing in the songs and giving us so much support here in BIM!
Our 2 albums 'Up In The Air' and 'Thirteen Degrees North' are on sale island-wide and online. Kite has been nominated for 3 Barbados Music Awards in 2008:
1.Best Alternative/Rock artist
2. Band of The Year
3. Best Non-Soca Collaboration (with Billy Kincaid for 'Fading Fast')
Our music videos were ineligible because they are only awarding the videos of solo male/female artists. Bands' videos are ineligible. Oh dear.
The awards ceremony will be held on January 27th and involve lots of dressing up and plenty unnecessarily pompous regalia. Nuff respect.
