Hey there,

We are pretty stressed getting ready for tour. It's creeping up REAL soon!

A friend of ours recently pointed us in the direction of this nice/funny review of our show at the Triple Door that Erin Thompson from the Seattle Weekly's music blog wrote.

"...Rocky Votolato put on a beautiful show Saturday night, and the first thing he did right was choose the Terrordactyls, a twosome from Vashon Island that he found on MySpace, to be his opener. Imagine, if you will, the Flight of the Conchords, only without the New Zealand accents and with tighter harmonies and catchier songs. Okay, so the Terrordactyls are not only better musicians, but they've got the same goofy charm as Bret and Jemaine - Michael Cadiz plays the guitar, Tyrel Stendhal plays a variety of percussion, including the xylophone and the kazoo (apparently a kazoo company called Kazoobie Kazoos in South Florida sponsors them), and both sing. It's a charming formula - one song compares two lovers to two Venn diagrams overlapping each other, another claims, "When I was a kid, the proudest I had ever been was when I didn't hit my sister for a several hour stint." The audience - a full house -- ate it up. At the end of the set, Cadiz turned and pumped his fist at the glittering stars behind the stage - victory indeed!..."

Thanks dude! We had a lot of fun at that show. If any of you would like to read the rest of the review, here's the link:

Hey friends!! I'm sorry to say we're going to be Jerks and pretty much just sell copies of Rage Mountain at shows until we get back from tour in October and figure out what to do with ourselves. There's just not enough time before tour. So have your friends go to our Europe/ Uk shows and get them to copies to you, and while your at it have them help us fill some of these gaps in this tour. And if you live in Europe...we have 300 shiny hand made copies of Rage Mountain along with some other cool stuff that will be exclusive to this tour...and we still need help with a couple shows. are going fast. We need as many friends of the terrordactyls there as possible so we don't get scared, and blow it on that fancy stage. We're probably going to embarass ourselves in front of Rocky Votaloto either way. it might be worth it to see how bad we can screw up.

You can get your tickets here:

it's $15,  and it's All-ages. It's on Aug 15, I think doors are at 7.

Also you should hang out with us at Healthy Times on friday...or down in Oly on Saturday

Okay, so we really haven't been that great about updating stuff as of late. We've been really busy with jobs, recording, tour planning and probably other junk that I can't remember right now...

Anyway, I've just uploaded a few new tracks from the new album, Rage Mountain. It's finally done! I'm not exactly sure when the thing with be available to buy, but it'll be real soon. A couple of really awesome European labels are releasing our Self-Titled album on CD and Vinyl, as well as a new 7" for Europe tour! SeaYou Records is doing the CD and Bachelor Records is doing the LP and 7".

We are also playing some shows in and around Seattle before we leave.

August 7th: Seattle, Healthy Times Fun Club w/Ash Reiter + Typhoon
August 8th: Olympia, Le Voyeur w/Ash Reiter and Jordan O' Jordan
August 15th: Seattle, The Triple Door w/Rocky Votolato
August 22nd: Seattle, SLAB w/Conservative Dad and Kids + Animals

I think that we might be playing a bike-in-movie at Cal Anderson Park for the Vera Project and some sort of going away show once we figure all that out.

I think that's about it for now.

Love Always,
Michael and Tyrel

Dear Friends,

You may have noticed that we recently uploaded a few rough mixes of songs from our next album "Rage Mountain" (...but then again you probably didn't, because you probably don't really care or even look at our page anyway).

I don't know if that last sentence really made any sense at all, but I'm gonna go ahead and leave it there. ANYWAY... like I was saying, we uploaded some songs for you to listen to. We've still got some recording, mixing at album artwork to do. I don't know what the exact release day will be yet, but I imagine it being sometime in mid to late August. That's pretty soon, right?!

We've got some Seattle and Oly shows coming up also in Aug. Then, we leave for Europe. Scary...

Love,
m

Dear dearfaces,

So... we haven't really been that present on this whole myspace thingy for a while, but a few things have happened in the last couple of months.

First of all, we're listening to the new All American Rejects album and working on some garbage and junk. They are still hella cool... it's gonna be the soundtrack to your summer. You just don't know it yet.

Secondly, you may have already noticed, but Tyrel made a totally frocking tight design for our page here. It looks really good and pro and bullshit.

Thirdly, we're going to rage the crap out of Europe in September. Many of our tour dates are already posted. More will come soon. We'll be playing a bunch more shows in France and Great Britain than are posted so far.

Fourthly, our self-titled album is being released in Europe on CD and digitally by seayou records (http://www.myspace.com/seayourecords) and on Vinyl by Bachelor Records(http://www.bachelorrecords.com). Both of these releases will have sweet "never-before-heard" bonus tracks and really cool packaging.

Other than that, we are going to start recording again tonight. We'll hopefully be releasing a new album sometime late this summer or early fall. We've been messing around with these songs for a while and keep messing them up... wish us luck!

Forever Yours,
Michael and Tyrel

P.S. My sister just sent this to me. It's pretty cool.

So, Michael and I still haven't been able to find steady jobs since returning from tour?! You could probably tell we've had extra time on our hands by the super cheesy profile design I've been working on this last week. It turns out they weren't kidding about this whole economy collapsing thing?

We're starting to feel pretty bad about ourselves...so we need you all to convince your parents to hire us.

I'm sure they could use a Terrordactyl for something??? We went to college, and are also really strong, and good looking. At this point really don't care what the job is.

xoxoxo,
