I am searching for the photographer who took my new profile picture! I found this on somebody's myspace page months ago, saved it and can't find the webpage anymore! :( We MAY want to use this for a tour poster, but need a higher resolution than what was previously available. If you took this picture, or know who did, please contact mitch@bhccmgt.com with info. Thanks! a

Hey Guys! Every Year for the past 3, I've offered a Free Christmas Song as a Thank You to all of my listeners for...listening! For buying my CDs and T-Shirts, for coming to my concerts, for requesting my songs on the radio. You are my employer! And I'm grateful. I love getting to do what I do: write songs about the lessons I've learned in life and the prayers I pray in life, and hopefully point to God in all of that! I'm going to write a blog on aaronshust.blogspot.com about this song. So check it out, there's a link at the top of my MySpace Home Page...you can't miss it. But first, Download the Song! And Merry Christmas Aaron SHUST BLOG

For some reason, Myspace's Blog isn't letting me post a link. So if you want to read my blog you'll have to cut and paste this in a new window.

I know that takes like three steps instead of one, so i do apologize. I'll fix it next time Tom gets things working again.

MY NEW SONG GOING TO RADIO IN 2008! THE FOLLOWING IS AN EXCERPT FROM ONE OF THE 12 JOURNALS FOUND IN THE JACKET OF MY WHISPERED AND SHOUTED CD: I was wondering if the people of Israel felt butterflies of excitement in their stomachs when Moses said something to them like, "Pack your bags quickly, because after 430 years of slavery, I'm here to tell you that God has heard your prayers, and He's giving us a land of our own. We're leaving tonight!" God watched over His people as they journeyed through the desert to a place they couldn't yet see. It's easy to feel their pain as they hoped to be delivered from slavery in Egypt; while they searched their own hearts to discover if they really believed in this "God of their forefathers," and whether or not He would truly deliver them. Jesus said, "I am with you always, to the very end of the age." So, when your night seems long, when you walk through a dark valley in life, He will show the way before you. He will never leave you alone. He will watch over you. Believe that!

"Shepherds quake at the sight." I imagine I would quake too if an angel showed up telling me Anything, followed by a couple million of his pals lighting up their wings and putting on a concert to make a U2 show look like a kids' play. Did you ever notice how they always seem to say, "Fear not"? They know we're scared senseless. They're Heavenly messengers: bringing news from the Throne of God to us mere mortals. That night the message was this: "Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord." The angel Gabriel appeared to Mary telling her that she would be with child; that He would be great and would be called the Son of the Most High. An angel appeared to Joseph, telling him to not be afraid to wed Mary and that her son would save his people from their sins. Two angels stood before Jesus' disciples 33 years later and said that Jesus would come back in the same way He went to Heaven. When I was young my cousin Caleb was diagnosed with cancer. As my Aunt Linda sat at his bedside in the hospital late one night, he woke up, lifted his head slightly, looked over his Mother's shoulder and said, "Oh, Mom, they're beautiful!" I believe he saw angels coming to escort him Home. My parents just got an email update from friends of the family whose 16-year old son Sean has muscular dystrophy. Get a load of this story: "I just had to tell you what happened this afternoon with Connie and Sean. His sedation had been reduced, and he woke up late in the afternoon. He then asked Connie to read to him from the Bible. She asked if he wanted her to read him the Christmas story from Luke 2, and he said yes. Connie read the story and got up to where the shepherds were in the fields keeping watch over their flock by night. Sean lifted his finger off of the pillow and began to write letters in the air (his way of communicating because of the tubes in his mouth). As he wrote, Connie stopped reading the passage and read his words. He said, "I saw two angels in my room last night. I could see right through them; otherwise I would have called. God said He is not finished with me yet". Wow!! Is that not AWESOME? How gracious God is to answer the prayers of so many of His people. One letter that we received today said, "Asking Him to send His special angels to Sean to love and encourage him". God is good and very obviously dearly loves Sean. What an encouragement to Sean and to us." It seems that sometimes when God really wants to make sure we hear news that may be difficult to believe, He has his messengers tell us. And if that doesn't make you feel valuable enough, remember: when the time came to bring salvation to his people…He delivered it in person.

Thanksgiving Day I spent with my family, Mom, Dad, Brother's family, 10 of us in all. It was a great day...the meal was exceptionally tasty (way to go, Mom) and after dinner, Dad, Nick and I went outside to throw football and pretend we were the Kennedys. An errant short pass bounced up and cuaght my left ring finger funny: kinda stubbed it: so we started talking about how certain people alledgedly have certain 'valuable' body parts insured with Lloyd's of London...a company that apparently insures anything. After 5 minutes of that conversation, a perfect spiral caught the same finger, i winced, shook my hand and said, "Wow, that one hurt!" with a smile on my face. Then I looked at my finger.
I spent the next three hours in the Stephens County ER. After X-rays they detemined that there was no break, but all the extender tendons had been severed. Awesome. My finger has been in a splint for the past 4 days and now that it's Monday I can try to get an appointment with an Orthepedic Surgeon. This greatly inhibits my ability to play guitar :/ So it looks like I will be playing Piano for the next two weeks of Christmas shows.
At first I thought the splint would be annoying...and it is...it's impossible to type quickly...but now i see it more as "a friend" who keeps me from bending my finger and causing more damage. It's an instrument of healing!
Hopefully I can see more things in life: the Holy Spirit's whispers or friends who speak the hard truth in love like I see this splint: keeping me from doing the easy and selfish things, and therefore causing more damage to myself.
I'm thankful for those Instruments of Healing.

When I pulled out of my driveway August 28th, I knew that there would be a couple opportunities to go home in between shows, but they would only be for 36-hour stretches of time. I knew I was leaving home for tour season and Thanksgiving was going to the next time to be HOME home.
Well after spending September with Michael W Smith, October with Mercy Me and November with Building 429, I sit on my bus in Wichita, KS watching my Steelers attempt to eek out a victory over the Jets with 1:25 left in the game. It's an early concert tonight at 6:00 (10 minutes from now) and the hotel is 25 minutes away, so I'm going to forgo the shower today, and after we finish and are all loaded up, we're going to bee-line it back to Nashville. Hopefully my car is still in the parking lot, where i parked it a month ago.
Jets just tied it up with 23 seconds left. Tonight may be a rough night. ;) just kidding.
They lost. blah.
