Ok...so I have to say I am a bit annoyed with all this hype on global warming.
First off global warming is nothing but a red herring.  It's a farce.  What's been going on with the "global warming" crisis is a bunch of bull.  It's a natural proccess the earth has been going through for billions of years.  Yes the weather is going to change as we evolve.  Yes, some spots will have different climates then they did 200 years ago.  I don't think Al Gore ever spent time in Maine, because i think he's see how much global cooling is going on up here.  The same goes with Minnesota and other northern states.  Imagine that...we're farthest from the equater...and it's colder. 
So please stop asking to join some environmental initiative.  Global warming is nothing more than Earth evolving.  Thats it, plain and simple.

I saw a poster the other day.  It said, "Al Gore didn't invent the internet but he did make up Global Warming."

Please for those environmentalist backers find another cause ok.  I'm all for beautifying a neighbourhood...picking up trash having clean drinking water etc but come on...Why must there be a global movement for something that isn't an issue.  You want an issue?  I'll give you one to solve:

Why does America sell corn and wheat so cheap, but we have to sell our unborn children for a tank of gas...Maybe we should up the price of our grains and sell it to these oil rich countries...Maybe give some of these farmers the hard earned money they deserve.
Better yet...Lets create a bunch of jobs in the auto industry...Make a bunch of these hybrid cars you environmentalists are so eager to get but no one can afford.  Make a shitload of them so everyone can afford one...put some of these people in America who are jobless back to work...Stop relying so much on foreign garbage.  Then we'd have jobs AND be "cleaning the air"

When Good Men Do Nothing

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." (Edmund Burke)

So much of the history of the struggle between good and evil can be explained by Edmund Burke's observation. Time and again those who profess to be good seem to clearly outnumber those who are evil, yet those who are evil seem to prevail far too often. Seldom is it the numbers that determine the outcome, but whether those who claim to be good men are willing to stand up and fight for what they know to be right. There are numerous examples of this sad and awful scenario being played out over and over again in the scriptures.
They Get Nothing Good Done

When good men do nothing, they get nothing good done. To be good, one must do good. The Lord commands his people to do good (Luke 6:35; Eph. 2:10). Christ "gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works" (Titus 2:14).

In the parable of the talents, Jesus described a man who did nothing. When he received his Lord's money, he "went and digged in the earth, and hid his Lord's money" (Matt. 25:18). When his Lord returned, he returned to the Lord just what he had been given (Matt. 25:25). Notice, the servant did not do any outright evil, such as stealing the money, but then neither did he do anything good. He did nothing and he got nothing good accomplished. Jesus said he was a "wicked and slothful servant" (Matt. 25:26).

Jesus rebuked the church at Laodicea for doing nothing. "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked" (Rev. 3:15-17).

Too many Christians and too many churches do nothing. They are standing idly by, they are mere spectators. They sit on the sidelines instead of actively participating and working for the good. If good wins, they join in the celebration though they did nothing to produce the victory. If evil wins, they will complain long and loud though their own apathy helped produce the undesirable result.

When Jesus found a fig tree with "nothing thereon, but leaves only" He cursed the tree and "presently the fig tree withered away" (Matt. 21:19). What will He do with those who claim to be good and yet who do nothing? John the baptist warned, "And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire" (Matt. 3:10; John 15:2).
They Help Evil To Triumph

When good men do nothing, evil triumphs. Evil, sin and sinful men must be opposed. God commands those who are good, not just to avoid evil but actively oppose it.

Christians are to not only to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but (also) reprove them" (Eph. 5:11). Those who do nothing about sin and evil, help the sin and evil to prevail. One who is silent when there are those around him in sin becomes a partaker with them (Eph. 5:7).

In the days of Elijah, the silence of many had allowed the evil of Ahab and Jezebel to prevail throughout the land of Israel. "And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word" (1 Kings 18:21). The silence of the people spoke volumes of their indecisiveness and inaction. Their failure to stand up, speak up and speak out permitted wicked and evil men to run rampant.

Jesus told of a traveler who was robbed, beaten and left him half dead. The men who did this were wicked and did a very wicked thing. But the Levite and priest allowed this evil to continue unanswered by doing nothing as they each "passed by on the other side" (Luke 10:31-32). Fortunately for the traveler there was one man, a Samaritan, who was willing to stand up for what was right (Luke 10:33-36).

Jesus warned "He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad" (Matt. 12:30). In the fight against evil there is no middle ground, no gray area, no neutrality. Those who are not actively and vigorously fighting against evil are helping evil to triumph.
They Are No Longer Good

When good men do nothing, they are no longer good. Many have the mistaken notion that good is merely the absence of doing that which is wrong. Not so! One is good not merely because he does no evil, but because he is actively working for what is good. "Let him eschew evil, and do good" (1 Pet. 3:11). James explained, "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin" (James 4:17).

The eldest of Israel, Reuben, knew his brothers' murderous plot against their younger brother Joseph was wrong. He started an attempt to deliver Joseph, but as he hesitated and vacillated, the other brothers sold Joseph into slavery. When Reuben heard what they had done, he realized his failure to act had helped to bring about this evil result.

Instead of correcting his error, Reuben sought to cover his guilt by agreeing with his brothers to lie to their father about Joseph's disappearance (Gen. 37:18-35). Reuben had "good intentions" and he was not even present when Joseph was sold into slavery, but he knew his inaction and absence made him just as guilty as the rest of his wicked brothers. This guilt continued to haunt him through the years (Gen. 42:21-22).

The prophet Obadiah severely condemned the Edomites for doing nothing when evil was befalling their brethren, the Jews. When Jerusalem was invaded by her enemies, the Edomites "stood on the other side" doing nothing but watching the slaughter as spectators. God said by their failure to act and to help their brethren "even thou wast as one of them" (Obad. 11).

Today, there are preachers and Christians who fail and refuse to meet the real foe, refute error and fight the enemy. Instead, they have turned to viciously savaging their own brethren. They are filled with bitterness and hatred and they maliciously attack, slander and misrepresent other Christians and gospel preachers.

Paul warned about such men and behavior among those professing to be Christians, "But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another" (Gal. 5:15). Those who engage in such behavior are spiritual cannibals.

While the conduct of these so-called Christians is shameful, what about those supposedly "good" men who do nothing? Those stand on the other side and do nothing but watch as their brothers are being slandered, slaughtered and devoured, they cease being innocent bystanders and idle spectators. Their failure to act not only allows evil to triumph, but makes them just as guilty as the spiritual cannibals they refuse to reprove and rebuke. In God's words, "even thou wast as one of them" (Obad. 11).
Conclusion

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Gal. 6:7). Those who fail or refuse to do good in the face of evil are sowing some dangerous seeds. They are doing nothing good as Jesus commanded them to do; they are helping evil to win and have ceased being good and have become partakers of the evil they did nothing to stop.

Do not allow evil to triumph. Do not do sit by and do nothing. Stand up and be counted, speak up against evil and speak out against evil men and their sinful deeds.

Mansfield, Ohio Most Wanted: Local sex offender on the run
Ross Waldbauer is making more trouble for himself. Recently released from prison for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, Waldbauer has a warrant for escape. Because he has absconded supervision, Waldbauer could face another escape charge, as well as failure to verify change of address. Both are felonies.


 
Authorities believe he is in Shelby or Ashland. Waldbauer, 24, is 6 feet tall and weighs 228 pounds. He has brown hair, hazel eyes and numerous tattoos.

Anyone with information on Waldbauer’s whereabouts are asked to call Ken Kaufman.

Austin, Texas Sex offender on the run considered threat to children
The search was on Thursday for a registered sex offender, who police believe is responsible for two recent attempted abductions.



According to a police alert, investigators believe Juan Manuel Perez, Jr. is a threat to area children. That accusation is based on two incidents -- one near the Del Valle Elementary and Middle schools, the other in the Wolf Lane community of Stoney Point.



"The fact that we have two incidents so close together would have anyone to believe he has reached an area in his life that he wants to re-offend, and he has become more dangerous for those reasons," said Bastrop Co. Sheriff Rosanna Abreo.



Perez, who goes by the nickname of "Junior," is a registered sex offender and is currently out on probation. His criminal record includes an exposure case in 2004 and a case of Indecency with a child in 2006. Now, based on what three 14-year-old girls say, investigators believe he is at it again.



The most recent incident reportedly happened near Del Valle Middle school. Two girls who were walking to school Tuesday morning say a man tried to grab them. It was similar to another incident, a few miles away, that happened in the Stoney Point community. A teenager says while jogging February 28, a man, fitting Perez’s description, exposed himself to her and also tried to force her into his car.



"She was able to pull away, she yelled at him, yelled for assistance and for him to leave her alone," said Sheriff Abreo.



All three girls escaped unharmed. The current investigation, Sheriff Abreo says, is an opportunity to restate stranger danger rules.



"Somebody wants you to do something you don’t want to do, you address it immediately, and you tell your parents immediately. You scream, kick, and spit. Anything you can do to get away," said Abreo.



Perez is linked to the two cases because of his car. One of the teenagers wrote down the tag number of the car they say was involved in the Del Valle incident. The plates were traced to Perez, but when investigators when to pick him up, they say he ran away. It is believed Perez is still in the area, and may be hiding out with friends.

Cops in Ontario, Calif. are determined to bring Candido Renteria Peraza to justice for the fatal hit and run of 7-year-old Nathan Sitompul. Cops say a drunken Peraza struck Nathan, who was riding his bike at the time. Peraza stopped, but when he saw Nathan struggling to get to his feet, Peraza took off, running over Nathan again.

Peraza previously served two years in prison for drug trafficking and was deported to Mexico in 1999. Ortiz said Peraza was in the country illegally at the time of Nathan’s death.

Celestino Gutierrez-Molina is wanted for first degree rape and indecent liberties with a minor. Authorities say on October 1, 2006, the 45-year-old Mexican native molested his 10-year-old niece while he was visiting relatives in Chapel Hill, NC. Police believe immediately after the assault, Gutierrez-Molina fled his relative’s residence on foot and walked to the nearby town of Carrboro. That’s when he allegedly met up with a friend who lived in the Abby Court apartment complex and bummed a ride to RDU-International airport.

As Gutierrez-Molina was en route to the airport, the victim notified her aunt and uncle of the incident. They immediately contacted the police and rushed the girl to the emergency room where doctors discovered physical evidence of the assault.

Gutierrez-Molina is originally from Mexico, but authorities say because his wife knows what happened, he might be too afraid to return home. Age: 45
Investigators believe that Best was living across the street from his victim’s cousin’s house or he may have been visiting a friend, but while Best was hanging around outside the house, he overheard the victim and her cousin fighting about giving the victim a ride to a place she needed to go. Best allegedly walked over, told the two there was no need to fight and offered to give the victim a ride.

While in the car, the victim says Best purposefully took a wrong turn. When the victim tried to tell him how to get to where she needed to go, he refused to listen. That’s when he pulled the car over, threatened to kill her if she said anything to anyone about this and then raped her. A short time later, he dropped her off at a friend’s house.

The victim immediately told the friend what happened and her friend called 911. At that point, an officer heard the call over the scanner and decided to wait on the side of the highway, hoping that Best would drive by. The officer did see Best’s car and followed him. But when Best realized he was being followed, he jumped out of his car while it was moving, disappeared into the woods and hasn’t been seen since.

On or about October 13, 1984, Mena used a homemade shank to stab a fellow inmate to death at the TDCJ Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony, Texas.

On or about February 5, 1988, Mena was searched by officials at the TDCJ Ellis Unit in Walker County, Texas, and was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

On July 7, 2006, Mena was released from TDCJ as a registered sex offender but failed to register with law enforcement, as required by law

Joseph Christian Fontana Age 52Joseph Fontana seemed like a wonderful guy to a woman he met at church. But cops say the man who went by his middle name, "Christian" was full of evil. Now, the hunt is on for a registered sex offender who has dozens of new charges filed against him.

When Joseph Christian Fontana suddenly showed up in Santa Rosa County, Florida cops say he was trying to hide his real identity by dropping his first name.  "Christian" showed up at a local church and became good friends with a single mother. Investigators say she was impressed by the man who took part in church functions and even sang in the church choir. The two began dating and he became a father figure to the woman’s three children.

Uncovering Fontana’s True Identity
Cops say the woman had no idea that Fontana was a registered sex offender from the Fort Walton Beach area. Although he was supposed to alert authorities when he moved, investigators say Fontana failed to do so and disappeared in 2001.

That’s when he apparently showed up in Santa Rosa County and cops say he started his spate of sex crimes again. While Fontana’s new friend thought he was a great role model for her children, investigators believe he had been sexually abusing her two young boys for years. Federal Authorities: Dangerous Sex Offender On The Run

Cops say Morin is a member of the Mexican Mafia.U.S. Marshals in Laredo, Texas have joined the hunt for a very dangerous man. They say 26-say year-old Abel Morin was sentenced to five concurrent life terms in prison on Monday, but took off through an unlocked jail door.

Abel Morin had just gotten his handcuffs, belly chain and shackles removed at the Jim Hogg County Jail and was was  about to begin serving five concurrent life terms for sex crimes.

But cops say Morin noticed that a door was open, and took off running.  A full-scale manhunt is underway for this man, who was convicted in November for raping a mother and her daughter, and taking off with the young woman, raping her again and leaving her in the brush.

Cops say Morin is a member of the violent Mexican Mafia and has tattoos all over his body. They don’t know where Morin is hiding, but say he is a native of Duval County, Texas and has also lived in California.

Cops in Ontario, Calif. are determined to bring Candido Renteria Peraza to justice for the fatal hit and run of 7-year-old Nathan Sitompul. Cops say a drunken Peraza struck Nathan, who was riding his bike at the time. Peraza stopped, but when he saw Nathan struggling to get to his feet, Peraza took off, running over Nathan again.

Peraza previously served two years in prison for drug trafficking and was deported to Mexico in 1999. Ortiz said Peraza was in the country illegally at the time of Nathan’s death.

Age: 44
Celestino Gutierrez-Molina is wanted for first degree rape and indecent liberties with a minor. Authorities say on October 1, 2006, the 45-year-old Mexican native molested his 10-year-old niece while he was visiting relatives in Chapel Hill, NC. Police believe immediately after the assault, Gutierrez-Molina fled his relative’s residence on foot and walked to the nearby town of Carrboro. That’s when he allegedly met up with a friend who lived in the Abby Court apartment complex and bummed a ride to RDU-International airport.

As Gutierrez-Molina was en route to the airport, the victim notified her aunt and uncle of the incident. They immediately contacted the police and rushed the girl to the emergency room where doctors discovered physical evidence of the assault.

Gutierrez-Molina is originally from Mexico, but authorities say because his wife knows what happened, he might be too afraid to return home. Age: 45
Investigators believe that Best was living across the street from his victim’s cousin’s house or he may have been visiting a friend, but while Best was hanging around outside the house, he overheard the victim and her cousin fighting about giving the victim a ride to a place she needed to go. Best allegedly walked over, told the two there was no need to fight and offered to give the victim a ride.

While in the car, the victim says Best purposefully took a wrong turn. When the victim tried to tell him how to get to where she needed to go, he refused to listen. That’s when he pulled the car over, threatened to kill her if she said anything to anyone about this and then raped her. A short time later, he dropped her off at a friend’s house.

The victim immediately told the friend what happened and her friend called 911. At that point, an officer heard the call over the scanner and decided to wait on the side of the highway, hoping that Best would drive by. The officer did see Best’s car and followed him. But when Best realized he was being followed, he jumped out of his car while it was moving, disappeared into the woods and hasn’t been seen since.

On or about October 13, 1984, Mena used a homemade shank to stab a fellow inmate to death at the TDCJ Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony, Texas.

On or about February 5, 1988, Mena was searched by officials at the TDCJ Ellis Unit in Walker County, Texas, and was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

On July 7, 2006, Mena was released from TDCJ as a registered sex offender but failed to register with law enforcement, as required by law

Joseph Christian Fontana Age 52Joseph Fontana seemed like a wonderful guy to a woman he met at church. But cops say the man who went by his middle name, "Christian" was full of evil. Now, the hunt is on for a registered sex offender who has dozens of new charges filed against him.

When Joseph Christian Fontana suddenly showed up in Santa Rosa County, Florida cops say he was trying to hide his real identity by dropping his first name.  "Christian" showed up at a local church and became good friends with a single mother. Investigators say she was impressed by the man who took part in church functions and even sang in the church choir. The two began dating and he became a father figure to the woman’s three children.

Uncovering Fontana’s True Identity
Cops say the woman had no idea that Fontana was a registered sex offender from the Fort Walton Beach area. Although he was supposed to alert authorities when he moved, investigators say Fontana failed to do so and disappeared in 2001.

That’s when he apparently showed up in Santa Rosa County and cops say he started his spate of sex crimes again. While Fontana’s new friend thought he was a great role model for her children, investigators believe he had been sexually abusing her two young boys for years. Federal Authorities: Dangerous Sex Offender On The Run

Cops say Morin is a member of the Mexican Mafia.U.S. Marshals in Laredo, Texas have joined the hunt for a very dangerous man. They say 26-say year-old Abel Morin was sentenced to five concurrent life terms in prison on Monday, but took off through an unlocked jail door.

Abel Morin had just gotten his handcuffs, belly chain and shackles removed at the Jim Hogg County Jail and was was  about to begin serving five concurrent life terms for sex crimes.

But cops say Morin noticed that a door was open, and took off running.  A full-scale manhunt is underway for this man, who was convicted in November for raping a mother and her daughter, and taking off with the young woman, raping her again and leaving her in the brush.

Cops say Morin is a member of the violent Mexican Mafia and has tattoos all over his body. They don’t know where Morin is hiding, but say he is a native of Duval County, Texas and has also lived in California.

Celestino Gutierrez-Molina is wanted for first degree rape and indecent liberties with a minor. Authorities say on October 1, 2006, the 45-year-old Mexican native molested his 10-year-old niece while he was visiting relatives in Chapel Hill, NC. Police believe immediately after the assault, Gutierrez-Molina fled his relative's residence on foot and walked to the nearby town of Carrboro. That's when he allegedly met up with a friend who lived in the Abby Court apartment complex and bummed a ride to RDU-International airport.

As Gutierrez-Molina was en route to the airport, the victim notified her aunt and uncle of the incident. They immediately contacted the police and rushed the girl to the emergency room where doctors discovered physical evidence of the assault.

Gutierrez-Molina is originally from Mexico, but authorities say because his wife knows what happened, he might be too afraid to return home. Investigators believe that Best was living across the street from his victim's cousin's house or he may have been visiting a friend, but while Best was hanging around outside the house, he overheard the victim and her cousin fighting about giving the victim a ride to a place she needed to go. Best allegedly walked over, told the two there was no need to fight and offered to give the victim a ride.

While in the car, the victim says Best purposefully took a wrong turn. When the victim tried to tell him how to get to where she needed to go, he refused to listen. That's when he pulled the car over, threatened to kill her if she said anything to anyone about this and then raped her. A short time later, he dropped her off at a friend's house.

The victim immediately told the friend what happened and her friend called 911. At that point, an officer heard the call over the scanner and decided to wait on the side of the highway, hoping that Best would drive by. The officer did see Best's car and followed him. But when Best realized he was being followed, he jumped out of his car while it was moving, disappeared into the woods and hasn't been seen since.

Robert Lee Best had just gotten out of jail about two months prior to this crime. He is a habitual sex offender and never re-registered once out of prison.Click here for more info or to report a online tip>>

On or about October 13, 1984, Mena used a homemade shank to stab a fellow inmate to death at the TDCJ Coffield Unit in Tennessee Colony, Texas.

On or about February 5, 1988, Mena was searched by officials at the TDCJ Ellis Unit in Walker County, Texas, and was found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana.

On July 7, 2006, Mena was released from TDCJ as a registered sex offender but failed to register with law enforcement, as required by law

SUSPECT: Carlos AntonioA 20-year-old man who allegedly abducted his 16-year-old ex-girlfriend at knifepoint in Chula Vista was at large Saturday, and an AMBER Alert was issued for the teen, police said.

Carlos Antonio allegedly abducted Ashlee Crocitto Friday morning from the 1300 block of Santa Ynez Avenue, said Lt. Buddy Magor of the Chula Vista Police Department.

The AMBER Alert was issued at 8:45 a.m. on Friday, and anyone with information on their whereabouts was urged to contact the Chula Vista Police Department at 619-691-5151, Magor said. 

Antonio is Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches and 160 pounds with brown eyes and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Harrington is in a car similar to the one pictured hereGeorgia police said three small children have been missing since Tuesday night. Police suspect their father, who's from Indianapolis and is driving a car with Indiana plates, took them.

Georgia police said 27-year-old Eddie Harrington took his three children from their Columbus, Georgia home in the middle of the night. Police said Harrington's girlfriend of six years came home to find her children, one-year-old twins Aliyah and Agana Battle and three-year-old Cedric Harrington, gone.

Police issued an Amber Alert saying the kids were last seen with their father in his car; a 2002 dark green Chevy Impala with a cracked windshield and Indiana plate 93L4740. Police don't know where Harrington is headed, but said he has connections in several states. His parents live in Indianapolis.

"He's gone with the kids and hopefully we'll find him pretty soon," said Harrington's father.

Harrington's parents said their son doesn't have a history of violence. Records indicate he doesn't have a criminal history in Indianapolis.

Harrington's father insisted his son is a good father and a good human being.

But investigators said Harrington left behind a troubling note although they haven't said what was in it.

Missing:  Feb 5, 2008Woodbridge High freshman Chandler Fergus, 14, has been missing since Feb. 5 and police are investigating the case as a runaway.

"She's never run away," said her mom, Jennifer Golden. "Right now, she has a 3.0 GPA at Woodbridge, and she's on the softball team. She's not what you would consider your typical trouble child."

Golden said that her daughter had been hanging out with a boy who has a history of running away and suspects that she may be with him. She also learned that Fergus on Feb. 5 called another boy, whom Golden did not identify, to announce that she would be running away from home.

Fergus is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds, and has hazel eyes and pierced ears. She may also have a purple streak in the back of her hair.

"We love her very much and don't want anything to happen to her," Golden said. "We just want her home safely."

Sex Offender Finds New Victims At Church

Joseph Christian Fontana Age 52Joseph Fontana seemed like a wonderful guy to a woman he met at church. But cops say the man who went by his middle name, "Christian" was full of evil. Now, the hunt is on for a registered sex offender who has dozens of new charges filed against him.

When Joseph Christian Fontana suddenly showed up in Santa Rosa County, Florida cops say he was trying to hide his real identity by dropping his first name.  "Christian" showed up at a local church and became good friends with a single mother. Investigators say she was impressed by the man who took part in church functions and even sang in the church choir. The two began dating and he became a father figure to the woman's three children.

Uncovering Fontana's True Identity
Cops say the woman had no idea that Fontana was a registered sex offender from the Fort Walton Beach area. Although he was supposed to alert authorities when he moved, investigators say Fontana failed to do so and disappeared in 2001.

That's when he apparently showed up in Santa Rosa County and cops say he started his spate of sex crimes again. While Fontana's new friend thought he was a great role model for her children, investigators believe he had been sexually abusing her two young boys for years. Now, Fontana is charged with 25 counts of sexual assault and 25 counts of lewd and lascivious behavior -- and he's disappeared again.Click here for more info>>
