http://www.megaupload.com/?d=G6E33E77 We felt like doin it, for the hell of it. Hope you like! We've heard some pretty piss-poor 4x4 mixes of this track that come close to EBM, and we liked how the track sounded with a dance beat, so we thought we'd do a more mature rendition, so to speak. Pulled out the Saul Williams vox at the end too. Grab it now while you can!

Hey kids: Just a quick note. If you head over to www.myspace.com/audiowaruk or www.audiowar.co.uk you can see the official word...dOG has joined AW as lead vocalist! Work on the new album "No Devices Found" is well under way, and promises to be (and we're not just saying this to move a few units) an STELLAR mix of breakbeat alterna-industrial pop noise drum-n-bass infused electronica that we really don't recommend driving to...you'll push past 120 mph and smash into a barrier (seriously...we tested)! News/links as soon as things become finalized. Also don't forget to pop on over to John's under-construction-atm-but-still-really-cool arthouse production site: code255.ucnxonline.com 2009 is gonna be a big year, we promise.

Body Rework: Remixes

UCNX : "Run Your Body" CDS | Release Date : 12.08.08 (digital)/CD release in early '09 from MoMT Records

1. Run Your Body

2. Burning Slowly Down

3. Run Your Body (The Number of the Remix by K-Nitrate)

4. BabyLAon (g.OD Remix for Idiot Stare)

What happens when you cross-breed an EBM floor filler with one of the classic heavy metal tracks of the 1980s? Iron Ebb or Nitzer Maiden? UCNX's 'Run Your Body' is what happens. A cover of Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills" set to Nitzer Ebb's "Let Your Body Learn."

UCNX prove that sometimes the most outlandish of ideas can strike gold! (<---And it's all YOUR FAULT Side-Liners!)

"Run Your Body", alongside the B-side "Burning Slowly Down" prove that UCNX can deliver the old school EBM goods with other new tricks and turns to keep the most jaded of rivet head happy and show the old school metallers that not all electronic covers are sacrilegious.

The single also features a remix from UK techno-act K-Nitrate and a UCNX remix of US industrial rock act Idiot Stare.

This is a single created for the dance floor and if it doesn't get your arse moving and your legs a stomping then we can only recommend that you check that you still have a pulse.

Order the album now from the MoMT Webstore: HERE

Freeze those knees my chicadeeez, it's time for the [u] [c] n [x] Fall '08 Update!

- We are almost set to unleash 'Run Your Body' upon an unsuspecting world.  "Run Your Body" is a cover/mashup/whateverthehell mix of 2 of the greatest songs of all time, Nitzer Ebb's "Let Your Body Learn" and Iron Maiden's "Run to the Hills".  Done as a spur of the moment exercise in inanity, it became a MONSTER when it was discovered that both songs work REMARKABLY well together.  Bombastic, brutal, rallying, richly erotic...the track has it all!  You will hear it in clubs for the next 50 years, we promise.  BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!  The single will be augmented with 3 other tracks...the oldskool slow coldnoisewave grind of the BRAND NEW ORIGINAL TRACK "Burning Slowly Down", a thundering remix of RYB by the only natural choice, K-Nitrate, and UCNX's insane, intricate, intelligent, & incendiary remix of Idiot Stare's "BabyLAon".  More details forthcoming, stay tuned to this space and others.

RYB is little morsel to whet your appettite for the next UCNX full-length "Generation Damaged", out in early '09.

- Work is well underway on Audiowar's sophmore release, tentatively titled 'No Devices Found', speaking to the newfound organic and specturm spanning sound the release will have.  dOG is supplying vocals for Christian's nasty grooves, an awesome mix of drum n bass, industrial power, punk noise, & breaks with a straightforward rock drive to bang your head WHILE you bounce up and down.  Release date TBA.

- Both members of UCNX have been participating in a new project called Skeleton Tracks, a loose collaboration of artists working on experimental jamming, improv structures and atmospheres ranging from soft piano ambience, screeching godless noise, mutated ebm techno with live rock jamming.  Megan Collier joins the boys from UCNX, Kurt Samuels, Amorphite, & others.  You included, if you wish, inquire within.  Myspace forthcoming.  Skeleton Tracks...we want nothing but the tip of your tongue.

Stay tuned.  Like we said, this ain't no fashion show, and we ain't goin NOWHERE.

Since they ain't printed (this time), here's your one stop for all your lyrical needs.

Absolute Zero

In some circles, Hell is repetition
Returning to a place you've never been.
Absolution, a destiny to manifect.
A rust upon your silver skin.

It's so cold nothing can move, but
a little friction is starting to grow.
Keep it in motion just for something to do, and
every bridge will collapse on it's own.

Unfound.  Push it through.
You can't cure it just sew up the wound.
What is said will mask what is heard.
Starting fires just to watch them burn.
All memories remind.
Every action justified.
But what will you do when you realize,
it all boils down to absolutely nothing.

Don't tell me your words of wisdom,
a philosophy you chose to invent.
Inferiority, everything's debilitated.
Tear it down bulk it around yourself.

Plant a seed in poison earth.
Follow an ardent, tainted bloodline.
Go through the motions & get through the day.
So much potential drained away in time.

No good deed goes unpunished,
turn like cancer way too fast.
Need to trigger decay, to diminish
a whole life seen through glass.

Try in every way to pay the price.
Trying hard to let the light shine out.
But what's inside your heart's betrayed
by what comes out your mouth.

Presence

Running for years in dreams in sickness.
Words and memories as countless as the sands.
The chain reacts, pass it on as wisdom.
The mark of youth inside.

Learned as a child to cover, to hide.
Storms always rising on every horizon.
Take shelter from the fray but still listen to the rain.
The ghost of a wound inside.

Take a piece of whatever you touch
Until the weight of it all becomes to much
These songs of sorrow, these scars of youth
can't put you together the way you used to be.

Can't put you together the way you used to be.

Black Index

False life, facade of conscience falls
Dark past hidden buried in the walls
Desensitized by any and all means
Children feeding off the dream

Contract for the price you pay
Clipped film loop running over again
Incest, leperous touch concealed
No dream this is all too real

Save face, a public image lie
Lives are low & heads hang high
Communicate through reconcilliation
Marketing through our salvation

Questions you can't answer
To fill an empty space
Answers you don't question
Attack the icon's face

Flat blast terrorvision flash
Implicate whore sucking cash
Steel your borders, sever your ties
Blood shy gunshot bloodshot eyes

Lifelines cut through the sand
Necktie wrench it tight a noose at hand
Follow blind, choked by a loose end
Craving fame and all it's dividends

Questions you can't answer
To fill an empty space
Answers you don't question
Attack the icon's face
When color is divided
You fight through naked hate
A sinister illusion
Attack the interface

Silent mouth spreading full of knives
Index blacklist of stolen lives
The word is writ in blood & stone
and the debt repaid in broken bone

Desperation

Putting faith in empty space
Nothing feels the same anymore
Know not the hour or the day
Conscious every moment on the way to insanity

Moving through the blur of color, sounds crashing all at once
The itch of the mending, break it down soon as they build it up
Presence seen but nothing flet, silence the only answer
Dull throb of gray as the patterns turn to cancer

There's got to be a way.

Moving through the blur of color, sounds crashing all at once
The itch of the mending broke it down soon as they built it up
No windows to the soul inside a cell without a key
Breaking nails breaking through there's got to be there's got to be...

Got to be a way.

There's got to be a way.

Please.
Stop this.

Sea of Sorrow

Absolute Zero (0.0 Remix by Cyanotic)

Desperation (Remix by Deadliner)

Followed Cyanotic's footsteps, only in their own fashion.

Abosolute Zero (Old School Mix)

"Absolute Zero" has a home!

Yep, UCNX has officially signed with MoMT Records (www.momt.co.uk), the fine makers of the fine Chemlab Tribute from last year and overall dignitary among labels.  We'd just like to say that we're beyond pleased to be part of the MoMT family, and continue our incestuous relationship in the Glitch Mode family as well.

We're set to release our debut "Absolute Zero" with remixes from CYANOTIC & DEADLINER hopefully within the next 30 days or so, more details as they become finalized including final tracklist, release details, and A Very Special Episode...er, we mean Free Gift with Purchase that I'm sure will make you all dead pleased.  It's mostly a digital deal, but there will be a limited run of PHYSICAL CD'S to BUY with GREAT FULL ARTWORK and WITTY THANK YOU'S as well...!

Things are poppin' like never before, so keep yer eyes peeled to this space (a separate website is being constructed).

New track all up in the player, if you haven't noticed.  Our little Christmahaunaquanzaka present to you:  "Nine Inch Nails - My Violent Heart (Illegal Remix by UCNX)"  Free for all to download at a crisp 192 kps, & also available at remix.nin.com.  Full of classic NIN sounds and samples glitched to hell, we def. made it rock a little more than it originally did.  Hope you enjoy, and have a great holiday season while yer at it.

In other news...

The 'Absolute Zero' E(L)P is fucking DONE son!  Cyanotic just sent in their wickedly wicked remix of "Absolute Zero".  They made it ROCK harder, that's for sure.  Release details forthcoming (won't say who or when until the ink has dried, and it's drying as we speak) but the tentative tracklist is:

1. Absolute Zero
2. Presence
3. Black Index
4. Sea of Sorrow (Alice in Chains Cover)
5. Absolute Zero (Old School Mix by UCNX)
6. Desperation
7. Absolute Zero (Remix by Cyanotic)
8. Desperation (Remix by Deadliner)
9. Absence

The "Old School Mix" is our own personal little tribute to 1992.  Classic electro-industrial right on down to the hi-hats, like Leaetherstrip vs. FLA on steroids.  The version of "Desperation" that came out on the first Glitch Mode 'H0rd3s of the Elite' comp. last year was a rough mix, this is the finished product and is more than a bit different.

Oh, did we say "first" H0rd3s comp?  Yep, Sean-anotic is at it again.  'H0rd3s of the Elite, Vol.2:  Electric Boogaloo' is being constructed now, and will feature a brand new EXCLUSIVE UCNX goodie for you all.  Same as it ever was.  Just you wait.
