Yep it's "FREE TRAMA" update time!
Here's a little back story about the "MR.T".zip tape project:
First, this project wasn't planned meaning I was in the middle
of working on my 5th solo album "VIET-TRAM" late 2008 when
my dad had become very ill, like admitted to the hospital ill.
My parents still live in New York and my mom doesn't drive so
I stopped everything....work, music, shows etc. and bounced to N.Y.
to be with my parents.
My music has always been therapeutic for me so during this stressful
time I chilled in the same room I grew up in in Queens N.Y and started
writing songs that reflected the mood I was in, never thinking of it as a
project, just writing a verse here and a metaphor there.
After numerous visits back and forth from New York to Minnesota
I needed to get all these thoughts off my chest so I hit up a studio
and recorded all the material in an 8hr session.
When I listened to all of the new material I noticed it was a bit different
from my past work in that my music for the most part has a slight comedic
edge to it but this material was way more reflective of my mindset and
my Queens New York environment. The music was aggressive and hard so
when coming up with a title I thought "who was the hardest dude back in the day"
and if you've ever watched or heard of the "A-TEAM" you know of B.A. Baracus
aka "MR.T"...google him!
So with all that being said I've attached the "MR.T" .zip tape track list for ya'll...word
