We are now officially finished with our summer tour. Now, onto the questions that people keep asking.

FAQ
1. Q - Hey, i ordered this shirt 3 weeks ago, when will i get it?
    A - Hi. Thanks for ordering. we just got back from tour. all merch is being shipped asap.

2. Q - I preordered an angel, skeleton, or octopus shirt and i haven't gotten it yet.
    A - That's cause i haven't shipped them yet. They'll be sent by the end of the week.

3. Q - Why do you guys rule sooooooo hard!!!!!!!!!!
    A - We don't know. but buy some other merch. cheers!

Tonight is the last night of our summer tour which had us on the "Welcome To Hell" tour with As Eden Burns, followed by the "Thrash And Burn" tour with Light This City. We, The Funeral Pyre, would collectively like to say thank you to all the bands we toured with this summer and to all the bands that we were able to share the stage with. It was an honor.

Also, thank you to all who came out to support us, or if you heard us for the first time. We had a wonderful time meeting new people again and of course thrashing in a ton of cities. We hope that you, the fans, enjoyed what we brought to the table. With that being said, we'll be playing some local shows throughout the fall, maybe another tour, we're not sure yet. But we will be playing shows and working on new material...... Which brings us here......

We have been working on the new record in between shows, tours, and our day jobs. We are hoping that with this record we can take whatever sound we have, to the next level. But only time will tell... Some song titles we have thus far include:
Thieves
Wounds
Devourer

The album title is floating around, but it will take shape in the near future. We have about 5 songs done and are going to write more. By the end of the year we will be playing these songs live, or a few of them. So if you like what you hear, please, let us know.

Other than that, we will recharge our batteries, get the riffs flowing and start yet another excursion to finish our 3rd full length record. Till then... hail satan.

Prosthetic Records to re-release THE FUNERAL PYRE full-length in distribution deal

Prosthetic Records will re-release the latest full-length from Los Angeles' THE FUNERAL PYRE in a licensing deal for worldwide re-release March 20, 2007 through a deal with Bay Area indie label Creator Destructor. Originally released last year through Bay Area label Creator Destructor, the band  has been garnering praise through non-stop touring.

 

Channeling melodic death metal and Norwegian black metal alike, THE FUNERAL PYRE takes on the two legendary genres in what has to be billed as a welcome addition to LA's crowded extreme music scene. Locking in over 100 shows throughout 2006 alone in support of the band's second full-length, the band cites At The Gates, Shai Hulud, Dissection and Emperor as influences on the band's MySpace page http://www.myspace.com/thefuneralpyre). Having recently returning from a five week tour through November and December, THE FUNERAL PYRE will return to the road in March, but not before playing shows in Southern California on their own.

we were on tour and we sold out of a bunch of sizes. i'm still taking orders because we are a band that doesn't have a lot of money, but we have reordered the shirts. we're very sorry it's taking so long, but i assure you, that if you place an order, you will get it as soon as we get our restock of shirts. so please be patient, we're trying our hardest!

We will be on the road, have new merch, and of course, posting bulletins on Myspace about our current situations. 2007 looks to be like a promising year and with the help of you kids, i think it will be a year that we can all be proud of.

so in exactly 2 weeks, we, The Funeral Pyre will be embarking on our second US tour since the release of our album "The Nature Of Betrayal." This time we'll be out on the road with Apiary (Metalblade Records) and Dryline (Zero Sum Records). I ask you, any of you, that sort of like our music, TO HELP PROMOTE OUR SHOWS ON THIS TOUR! Make flyers, tell a friend, whatever!

Also, when we get back, we'll be playing local and regional shows only till we take off on our summer tour. So be on the lookout for those! Anyone who can design a webshop, let us know asap! we need help with that!

Finally, we just released our latest album, but in Januray/February we're going to start writing a new record. Which will be even darker than "The Nature Of Betrayal."

We have completed the 3rd and final step to the recording process. The album is now finished. Completed in it's entirety. We are very proud of what this has become. It's a beast, one that is furious and stikes with vengeance to your jugular. Be prepared for war! well not really... but we think it's a pretty fucking awesome album. We'll be taking preorders pretty soon, once the artwork is completed. So be on the lookout!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok so we're almost done with everything. the vocals are halfway done and will be finished today. then. we mix. master and give you, the people the finished product of The Nature Of Betrayal. We'll see if you're ready
