I just want to thank EVERYONE who came out Saturday for my birthday bash. The Pataphysics all the way from Austin (well they were coming anyway..but were still fun and nicely strange), C'mon Everybody tore it up, then we (Go-Going-GGone Girls) got to play and people were very nice to us, thank you very much, and lastly The Aquamen closed it out with a tsunami scale show.
Thanks to Chuck, Cheryl, Mike and Megan. Mark, Lani, Robert (thanks for the scotch, I like scotch too), Sonia and Otto Frank and Linda, up from San Diego Greg and Jean,..and Mr. Dodgy Hal..Billy, Eric and tons of others.(I'm sure there must be at least a ton all put together.) And of course all the members of the bands mentioned above.
And a special thanks for Bridget and her camera so she could put together the nifty slide show seen below (and for being there in general).
The Cake was yummy and the Champagne a surprise.
Thanks all for coming out.
Also an across the board for all the messages and comments wishing me a happy birthday.
It worked.
Cheers,
Klaus
Here's that slide show.

Hey Y'all,
Just got back from Nawleans playing the Ponderosa festival at The House of Blues with The Ledgendary Stardust Cowboy. It was a total hoot. The Ledge gave a great show even without his gun. Company for the night were such luminaries as Dale Hawkins of Susie-Q fame and Lady Bo (google her if you don't know). It was a really good night and the man who throws it together each year Dr. Ike was there to see our set.

Hey All!
Gotta send out thanks for everybody that came to The Uptown on Saturday the 11th. We opened the show, we being The Go-Going-Gone Girls, to an already pretty full room, and The Uptown's room is indeed a nice big room with a great sound system and a great sound man. Just a line check, no sound check, but some of the best sound we've ever had, monitors and up front (so that's what we sound like!!)
Then TurbonegrA came out and blasted the walls off the place, challenging the Dickies to pull out all the stops, which they indeed did.
Question: Do the Dickies have any bad or anything close to bad songs? I don't think so.
Stan and Leonard were in top form, how Leonard still sounds as good as if not better then he did in '77 is beyond me.
Anyway, it was a good night all night through, always a pleasure to encounter.
Also 'twas a pleasure to encounter Mike and Megan, Mike Chase, and Bruce Loose (although he didn't even know we were playing, just heard that the Dickies were playing and came out to see them, it was good to see him anyway).
Lotsa other folks deserve thanks, so to you guys, thanks.
See you all next time we play out I'm hoping.
And let's all go jet setting (we can all get together and charter a private jet, whoo-hoo) to New Orleans to see The Legendary Stardust Cowboy play at the Ponderosa Festival on March 28th.
Cheers,
-Klaus

Hello Peoples,
Actually we didn't really play on the 2nd..we played early on the 3rd. Just a note to thank All those who turned out at The Knockout to see the Legendary Stardust Cowboy and stuck it out until the end (past closing, thanks John for the patience).
It was the usual, unusual Ledge show. Never know what's going to happen, even after 10 years playing with him I don't either. That's the fun of it for me, along with seeing the faces on the crowd. Special thanks to a lot of folks who have stuck by The Ledge, Amy, Michelle, Bridget. Andrew was there in spirit but he had a Beachkrieg gig in San Jose which I would have loved to see. Pokechoppums and Applejack who came cause they saw the myspace bulletin (they work…who knew?). Also thanks to Marcos and Billy of the Rock'n'roll Adventure kids for inviting us to their record release party. And all the others, Tiki, Paul ..you know who you are. Thanks.
So, again, thanks, Hope to see you all again soon somewhere.
Cheers,
-Klaus

Just sending out a thanks to everybody who made it last Thursday. The night was pretty dang fun and the joint was jumping from the beginning through to the end.
When the Go-Going-Gone Girls played we were right chuffed that there were folks right up front. It always makes for a more fun opening slot.
Pollo Del Mar were their usual excellent selves and the perfect segue to the infamous Laika and The Cosmonauts. They are on their last tour and were headed toward Texas before returning to Finland. They just tore the place up.
Me, I guess I must have had at least 2 beers. I know that because my drink tickets were gone when I checked my shirt pocket in the morning.
Anyway, thanks again for the big turnout.
Cheers,
-Klaus
