Hey all,

I wanted to ask all you Mifune supporters to help us get on the ballot for the 2009 Scene Music Awards. We have been blessed to win for the past 2 years and would like to see a 3peat in our future!  It would be great to see our individual names as well as the group on the nomination ballot. I normally don't ask people to vote but this year I am downright shameless!  So please log on to www.clevelandscene.com and follow the links to the 2009 Music Awards.

Here are the specific categories:

Vocalist- me! (chris fader)
Guitarist- Jacob Fader
Keyboard- Cutty
Bass- Corbett Hein
Horn- Kris Morron
Drummer- Jeremy Miller
Ethnic/ World band- MIFUNE!

Thanks fr your help and dont forget to tell all of your friends to do the same!
Much Love,
Chris Fader

Hi guys,
I am not the one who usually posts blogs due to the fact I am not computer savvy, but i had to tell you .....
Friday night's show was truly an amazing experience.  I cannot describe the energy the audience gave us on stage. We are blessed that we have such great fans.

Thank you for all of your support in making our release party such a wonderful night. We all hope you had just as much fun as we did.

See you at Brothers lounge,
Chris Fader

Hello friends. I had a great weekend attending the Ingenuity Festival here in Cleveland. This is the third year Mifuné has been involved in this event and we were happy to be a part of one of the things that makes summer in Cleveland great. The festival was a lot of fun, but more importantly it brought an energy to downtown Cleveland that is incredibly important.

I have to say, the All Go Alley was the highlight for me. It was a glimpse at what--would generally be considered--a forgotten space's potential could be if the right hands were allowed to explore it. On Saturday night, Mifuné performed on the stage in this area to an audience that graciously listened and participated in our performance. As the sun set, a new space emerged. Videos appeared on walls, lights lit up alleyways, and artists found new nooks and crannies to create in and share. I couldn't help but think about the possibilities. What if this was a regular part of Cleveland? What if this was a beer garden? What if this was here next weekend? What a space for sharing creativity and encouraging interaction. But isn't that what Ingenuity Fest is supposed to be about? Envisioning Cleveland's potential? Kudos to Chuck and the All Go Signs crew for putting together an amazing space for all of us to explore, dream about, and enjoy!

On to this weekend. Saturday will find us returning to the Brothers Lounge on Detroit Ave. just east of the W. 117th intersection. We played at the Brothers Lounge a few months ago and had an amazing experience. This is a beautiful club with great sound. The people who came to our last performance there were amazing. There was a shared energy or vibe that seemed to put everyone in the mood for dancing and having a great time. We are hoping to recreate those feelings again Saturday (August 2nd) and we hope you'll be apart of it. Doors open at 9:30 and admission is only $5. If you are under 21 you have to be accompanied by someone who is over 21 to get in. We hope you will make it out and enjoy what will be an exciting show for everyone. See you Saturday!

Peace,

skinnyk
