Rift is a five piece metal-core band with death metal style vocals.
The band is based out of Ludwigsburg Germany and has been together
since mid 2007.

The band is made up of a mixture of experienced German and American
musicians. A wide mix of styles has influenced each of the band
members, thus giving them their unique sound.

The key to their sound being brutal vocals with heavy, yet melodic
instrumentation. Frontman Claudio Enzler, also in 3 other bands
("Sacrificium", "My Darkest Hate", and "Thy Bleeding Skies"), brings
the death metal growl and aggressive showmanship to the stage.

Drummer Tom Gärtner was a former member of "Mighty D". Guitarist Clint
Harrell and bassist John Taves have been playing together for many
years in several different projects.

Guitarist Carmen Clark, newest member, has recently joined the band.

The band is currently finishing their debut CD "The Practice of
misleading“, which is due to be released in the beginning of 2009.
