Hullo
Hope you had a jolly Christmas. To celebrate the New Year, we'll be in session on BBC 6Music with Tom Robinson on January 1st. Tune in from 7:00 to 9:30 PM to hear us play three tracks; one old favourite and two which are so new we haven't recorded them yet.

If you don't have a digital receiver, go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music

Or you can listen again throughout the week at http://www.bbc.co.uk/6music/shows/tom_robinson/

Keep a look out on www.myspace.com/dolorosomyspace for updates on gigs which will be happening early in the year.

Happy New Year to one and all!

Doloroso's excellent second single Godless is out now. Here are some good reasons to run out and buy it.

"A darkly sensuous lullaby, rich layers spun around a musical core of exquisite simplicity to take you away to the dreamland of doloroso"
Flux

"Impossible to ignore with their vocals so engaging and distinctive, songs so cinematic and their melodies so timeless"
Artrocker

"Godless is both frightening and fuThe Fly

"A desolate, hypnotic soundscape from 'the band with four O's"
Room Thirteen

"Another excellent single and everyone should keep their eyes out for these young gentlemen"
High Voltage

It's available in limited quantities of 7" vinyl and cd available in pretty much all record shops, and download available from, among others, iTunes. Go get some!

Youll be pleased to see that weve finally got around to updating our Myspace page with a couple of new tracks: Our first single High Times In Middle Management (still available in all good / bad record shops) is now up there. As is Copy Cat Code (San Sebastian mix), a reworked version of an old track inspired by our recent road trip across the continent, which features on the B-side to the new single.

Also, for those of you that missed out earlier in the year, weve made the track The Killer Calm available for FREE download. Spread the werd.

Thanks to everyone that voted - Godless won Steve Lamaq's Rebel Playlist with an overwhelming majority of 84%!

Every daytime DJ on 6Music will now play the track at least once this week whether they like it or not. Huzzah!

Hey everyone
This week the our new single, Godless (out next month) is up against two other tracks competing for a place on the playlist for Steve Lamaq's show on 6Music. Go and vote now at:

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, click on the link and send them an email with 'track3' in the subject heading. Don't bother sending more than one email from one address - duplicate votes will not be counted. However, don't feel you have to hold back if you have more than one address...!

Due to the last minute discovery of an unsafe floor, the Old Blue Last will be closed this week. Crushing news for all as unfortunately this means our gig tonight has been cancelled. Sorry folks. We were looking forward to it as much as you.

Next gig will be Friday 25th August at the Macbeth on Hoxton Street. More details to follow.

Bye for now.

Hello to one and all
After a long and dusty road trip across the continent with an improvised soundtrack performed only on ukelele and melodica, we're back in London and about to start working towards the release of our next single - Godless - out on 11th September. More info on this to follow nearer the time.

First off we're playing next Tuesday 8th August at the Old Blue Last with White Russians and Sunshine Gun (or something). We're on stage about 8:45 so get there early. It's £3 to get in and we're debuting some new songs so it should be a good one. More dates in August / September are in the pipeline.

Also check out www.totalspec.com or go and buy it in the shops in full glossy glory - available in all good branches of Borders.

So this is the way it's going to go.... We're going to be in the studio (it's more of a rectangular shaped area of carpeted floorboards with rotting walls balanced precariously on top of a room in which some overweight fella affectionatly known as Colonel Kurtz makes dreadful music for no one) writing and recording for a bit. It's what keeps us going after all.

Then, on September 11th we'll be releasing another single. It's going to be called Godless. Make what you will of that. It's got a great acoustic version of Copy Cat Code as a Bside.

Keep you ears peeled for some free downloads. Thanks to everyone that's been to see us in the past couple of months - it's been a riot. Next gigs will be early August. Hope to see you then.
