In our secret Psylife laboratories we cooked a brand new surprise to all of our friends and fans of futuristic and fusion electronic music: those of you who'd like to hear progressive-minimal-dark-tech-psy-trance or whatever you call the music what makes you believe that there is still a future for all these sub-styles. We believe that the future is the fusion.
The sub-label of Psylife Music called Halu Beats Records was born to release and promote sounds from the progressive side of psychedelics - with that original meaning of the word 'progressive'. The first compilation is strong in remixes and interesting side-projects.
Adam Hohmann from the psytrance project Parahalu came up with a new alterego (which is his real name) and made a pumping remix of Ace Ventura's bomb 'Rebirth' while Deto, his partner in The Path project prepared a passionate version of Kino Oko's earlier gem 'Pasyonata'.
Hungary's promising prog-psy-tech-trance-tribal act, Kalumet is the man behind the remix of Tegma's Night in Cairo, and the producer behind the tracks Bong and Time Killer. His very first album will be definately one of the most awaited debuts after you hear these tracks: watch out for the full-length by him coming on Halu Beats in the near future.
Our tricky side-project orientated compilation has got an other big boom: Ocelot meets Haltya. Ocelot from the USA who used to be committed to fast and twisted psychedelic trance but nowadays going melodic and using a wide range of elements in his music, shows his talent in the slower side of trance this time. With his good friend Haltya who signs the track under the name Justin Space they made 'Dirty Appetite' with groovy rhytms which makes you really hungry for their next installment.
Masters of mixing dark and prog, australian Sensient (man behind Zenon Records) and the brazilian duo Minimal Criminal show us their unique catchy rhytms and unearthly atmospheres in the tracks Square One and Graverobbers from Outer Space wich tracks give the keynote of the compilation's sound and concept.
Halu Beats volume 1. along with the Psylife Music releases will be available not only in CD format but at biggest internet music stores of the world as quality digital downloads too (iTunes, Beatport, Napster, Emusic, Juno, etc).
Release 15 February 2008.
