I kept getting the impression our site was too cartoony and not very professional so I went in for the past couple weeks and made major revisions and updates to it. I think visitors should be alot happier - and hopefully equally generous! And speaking of being charitable - next order of business is submitting the American Way Charities to the directories... Just wondering how we want to best market that...

Current mood: working
First and foremost we have been working on the website non stop to improve seo capabilities and also following up with several social networking campaigns. Check out the revisions at http://www.amedinstitute.com. We tried to set up the site so that it was easier to understand and didn't feel so fragmented. Also the graphics in the background got a more professional look, and the css sheet was cleaned up to reflect the final theme. Joomla is a pretty cool CMS system and our host provider ipower does a great job for us! I have been posting the M rated blooper video to other videos on myspace attempting to get good traffic results. Im sure traffic wont be down to much in spite of the holiday week. Also put three new sites up - http://wp.assc.us is our seniors site that appeals to a more conservative audience, http://www.ambusinessbureau.com is a web directory of reputable business on the internet, and http://www.amwaycharities.com is our non-profit charity fund-raising site! Check us out and tell us what you think - oh and btw, our Credit Foundation Workshop went live last week and is indeed approved by the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance for the states requirement of Mortgage CE!

Deadbeat Dad Accused Of Pimping To Pay Child Support
[NEWSVINE: Deadbeat Dad Accused Of Pimping To Pay Child Support] [DELICIOUS: Deadbeat Dad Accused Of Pimping To Pay Child Support] [DIGG: Deadbeat Dad Accused Of Pimping To Pay Child Support] [FACEBOOK: Deadbeat Dad Accused Of Pimping To Pay Child Support] [REDDIT: Deadbeat Dad Accused Of Pimping To Pay Child Support] [RSS] [PRINT: Deadbeat Dad Accused Of Pimping To Pay Child Support] [EMAIL: Deadbeat Dad Accused Of Pimping To Pay Child Support] EVERETT, Wash. -- A man who owes more than $70,000 to seven women for child support apparently made some payments from money he got by operating an Internet-based prostitution ring, investigators say.
According to Snohomish County Superior Court records, authorities believe the man controlled at least two women through intimidation and violence, rented motel rooms for them and took their prostitution earnings after advertising on Craigslist.org, The Herald reported Tuesday.
Police found the man had several women working for him and may have earned as much as $300,000 in the past two years, using some of the funds to make support payments for for his eight children, all younger than 5. His incomplete child support payments date as far back as 2001, according to court records.
One woman told police he stashed his money in boxes at home, fearing the state would seize it for the unpaid child support if he used a bank, prosecutors wrote.
The man was arrested last month for investigation of first-degree promoting prostitution but posted bail a few hours after being booked. In court documents he described himself as a "private caregiver" who sometimes has trouble collecting from clients.
Police also searched two apartments and seized computers, drug paraphernalia and about $2,300 in cash.
As of Tuesday no charges had been filed, police Sgt. Robert Goetz said. He would not identify the man, who also was not identified in the newspaper report.
Detectives wrote that the man came to their attention in March after a woman said she saw her daughter's picture on Craigslist with what appeared to be an advertisement for sex. The mother said her daughter was being "pimped out" by a man who assaulted the younger woman and refused to let her visit her family, according to the search warrant.
Detectives found the man was on probation for bank fraud in the 1990s and didn't have any employment history but always seemed to have money and often arrived at the probation office in an expensive vehicle driven by different women.
In July, after hearing from another woman, detectives found that woman's daughter, who told them the man bought her for $250 and demanded all the money she made as a prostitute at a Lynnwood motel.
Both women told police the man carried a pistol, assaulted them, bought them lingerie and gave them cellular telephones to call him when johns arrived and after they were done.
