Please read on and act if your compelled to do so.

Stay Blessed, Dora.

P.S. that email of mediaHo@mac.com is not mine lolz!!!

Dust it off and Donate

A fundraising garage sale event will be held Saturday, February 16 in Long Beach to assist in the ongoing efforts of a Long Beach couple realize their dream of adoption.

Matthew and Renae Kennedy continue their efforts to adopt beautiful Valeria, a Colombian girl desperately in need of a loving family and home. The process is demanding but Matthew and Ranae are committed to bringing their daughter home. She already resides in their heart and has since the couple first met Valeria through the Kidsave organization (www.kidsave.org) while the eight year old girl was on a sponsored trip to the United States from Columbia.

We are searching for donations in the form of furniture, appliances, clothing, unique items etc. All donations would so very much be appreciated however because space is limited goodwill or non-sellable items cannot be accepted.

The sale is scheduled for Saturday, February 16 - 8 am in Long Beach - the address is 225 W. 37th St. LB 90807 (cross st: Pacific Ave.)

Volunteers to help with the sale are always welcome and appreciated. It will be a fun day of fundraising had by all!

To coordinate drop-offs and/or to volunteer please email me at mediaHo@mac.com or call 310.388.7288 (Renae's Cell).

For information on the organization and to see Matthew and Renae's wonderful story and updates on the adoption process please goes to their website at www.KennedyAdoption.com.

THANK YOU so much for your support; the moments of time you invest will help bring a lifetime of love and joy to a little girl and her parents!

Artists United for Healthcare is a statewide campaign for artists, by artists, that advocates for affordable healthcare for all Californians and that supports our creative livelihoods as artists (www.artistsunitedforhealthcare.org)...:namespace prefix = o />

The historic momentum behind healthcare reform in ..:namespace prefix = st1 />California right now represents a huge opportunity for artists and creative entrepreneurs to weigh in, be heard, and fight for a healthcare plan that works for them and all Californians.  While there are many good ideas on the table, there are also reforms that threaten to leave self-employed workers - including artists - out in the cold.  We must work together to make sure this doesn't happen.

We Need Your Help
The campaign will only be as strong as the people who participate in it.  We need your help!

  • Take part: If you're a working artist, take part in a first-ever statewide survey of artists' health insurance needs.  You can access the survey online at www.artistsunitedforhealthcare.org. - Please do so by August 15th!
  • Sign up: The AUFH website is also the online hub of the campaign where you can connect with other artists and hook into campaign activities.
  • Get educated: Stay on top of the healthcare debate by following the news and our campaign alerts.
  • Tell a friend: Encourage other artists in your community to join this effort.
  • Get active: Be part of the campaign's advocacy efforts to urge the Governor and State Legislature to choose a healthcare reform plan that works for all Californians - including artists.

Please visit our website, www.artistsunitedforhealthcare.org, and take the Artists' Survey by August 15th!
