I received the call early Mother's Day morning from Steve... I believe it was 8:15 a.m. He explained that Dottie Rambo had been killed in a bus accident. My best friend Victor Seaton promoted her last Michigan appearance two weeks ago in Fenton and my boyfriend Steve produced her last live album last Saturday at the Midnight Jamboree in Nashville, TN. He was also producing her studio album due to release later this year... I'm so honored to be able to say that I sat in on her last tracking session which took place in January... She was amazing... larger than life! Our loss is truly Heaven's gain.

So, I walk into my office and notice that my screen saver is frozen on my desktop. No biggie. I push the metallic button on my tower and perform a hard shut down. I push the button again and no response... ick... too much to deal with last night so I went to bed. Morning comes and the first thing I think about is my unresponsive lifeline... my computer... I walk into the office and again, no response... after trouble shooting online I decide to cart the enormous computer to my nearest apple store. Luck has it, my applecare expired last November. They have to replace the motherboard. $850.00 and 3-5 days later, I should have a computer... and just when I thought things were going financially okay... figures.

I've been working to get out of debt since last May. After a lot of hard work and many life-style changes, I've finally accomplished my goal; Nearly one year later. I have very exciting financial plans in store for myself starting with the possible purchase of a new puppy... (next paragraph) We still take our dogs to get groomed by the lady who breeds them down in Toledo. My mom and I are taking them on Thursday for their monthly trim and pamper session and I have decided to purchase a champion standard poodle... well... that's what I want to do. I know the responsibility and undertaking of such a task is enormous and I've never owned a dog that has weighed over 10 pounds, but a standard is something I've always wanted. The breeder has a marvelous new litter and I thought I'd share a picture of the one I will be viewing on Thursday morning. It would be the darling angel on the far right. She's $1400 with Full AKC Registration, which is needed if I ever want to show her. Lastly, my car is having enormous difficulty staying charged longer than two days. I'm afraid I'm just going to have to splurge and buy a new battery. I hate knowing nothing about cars. (pout)

My alarm went off at 3:30 am. I finally realized it was "strumming" (that's the tone of my ringer) at 3:35 am. I groggily carried myself to the shower at 3:37 am. I'm usually just going to bed at this time. I take my shower and get ready in the cloak of darkness with the musical accompaniment of chirping birds... that too is a sound I'm only used to hearing before bed. I am boarding a plane in exactly 2 hours for a weekend in South Carolina. Hopefully this nauseousness will go away... I hate early mornings... I am looking forward to watching the sunrise above the clouds, though... that's one of my most favorite things in the world...
4:00 am is a weird hour in the day... have you ever really thought about how rare it is that you actually experience 4 am? The classiest of night life experiencers are always safe at home by 3:00 am... and the earliest of risers usually set their clocks for 5:00 am... I don't know... it's such a weird hour...
Oh well... till next time, MUAH!

No energy... Excited to get my pedicure. I love summer. Can't believe its going to be 71 today... Thankful. Needing someone to consider going to Cinci, OH with me on May 24. I'm paying for travel. OTR is performing their entire Ohio CD to open a new venue and I don't want to miss it. Wearing a new tshirt I just bought from Hannah. Its a banana with a bunch of tattoos inside the peals. Really artsy.

Dear MySpace Creepers,
No, I will not respond to your messages when you write and say any of the following:
"We would make beautiful children together."
"I'm new to the area, do you want to hook up."
"Please have sexy time with me."
"Whatchou Doin'?"
"How are you?" Now, I would normally reply to this if I already know you, but if you are introducing yourself to me for the first time, please share more about yourself first...
"Hey Hot Momma, are you on AIM or Yahoo?"
"hi 23 male here downriver, just wondering if ur interested in ne fun,no strings 1 time thing.. hit me up if interested.. "
Those are just some of the several that I could find suitable to use for examples...
Also, spelling and grammar are important. An educated person is far more attractive to me than a person that thinks they look good. So, if you don't know how to form proper sentences, then you're probably not someone I would be aligned with...
Sincerely, Kimberly

This is a text message I received just now...We miss what’s right in front of us when we’re busy looking over the rainbow. Sometimes it takes stepping into someone elses world to realize how much you love the life you have. Because no matter how magical the movies are... at the end of the day, you realize that there’s no place like home.
You know we all love to lose ourselves in a good movie. When I was younger I loved the Wizard of Oz. Especially when Dorothy oopens the door into that fantastic world. But once Dorothy appreciated how bright and beautiful everything was she realized she had a bit of a mess on her hands. One of the classic examples of "Be careful what you wish for." Spend five minutesin a fantasy you just might find yourself wishing for your old life back.
The constant, the reliable... People who care and edify you......From a Friend

I meant to blog about this a few days ago, but I didn’t have the opportunity due to an overload of work, so I want to share an observation I experienced last week. My Mom’s best friend and her children were at our house visiting for a few days. On the day they were to go home, my dad mentioned that a Tiger’s baseball game taking place that afternoon would only cost $5 per person. D was ecstatic!! He ran to his bag and pulled out a $5 bill and excitedly exclaimed that he could afford the excursion. Due to the fact that he had to go home that day, his Mom said that he couldn’t attend the game. His disappointment was obvious as he just couldn’t understand why, if something was only $5, he couldn’t attend... His childish naivety was actually quite appealing, despite the fact he threw quite a fit... I say that it was appealing because the day before, Victor and I grabbed a quick lunch at Big Boy before an appointment we had for manicures. There were two women in the booth behind us speaking quite loudly about their troubled relationships which contained previous divorces, current boyfriends, physically abusive home situations and so on and so on... we basically knew the entire situation and rolled our eyes in disbelief over several of the comments that were made about their significant others. My mind immediately compared the two situations.... Just when does disappointment about not being able to attend a baseball game that you could easily afford turn into fear for a life or even worse, co-dependency on someone who is extremely toxic? It’s odd how life situations define who we are to become...

When I’m alone I think A LOT. My mind never really ever turns off... its a constant tumbling of thoughts, conversations, to-do lists, creative brainstorms, random thoughts about clothes, color debate, people... it’s a constant. Well, today, I’ve come to a conclusion about a certain mental disorder that I think I may have. I think that in my course of thought, I create "fake" conversations with people and then mentally try to relive those conversations exactly how they took place in my mind, back with them again in person or on the phone. When the conversation or person that I’m conversing with either doesn’t maintain conversation exactly how I picture it going, or if it isn’t interesting enough to throw me on a mental loop or quest for higher reasoning, then I get frustrated with the person I’m having a conversation with and mentally shut down.
Now, these are my symptoms... I don’t know how to go about even researching this as an actual disorder or if I’m just over reacting to a normal human behavior of response.

Now that I’ve thrown out 2/3 of my wardrobe, I’d like to update it by purchasing the following items... I know I probably wont, but they’re definitely pieces that I could cherish and adore as if they were children... (that was a bit of an exaggeration, however, when it comes to clothes... I’m passionate).
Halogen® Zip Front Leather Jacket

Zachariah Bryant ’Hippie’ Vest

flounce tbd Corded Leather Jacket

Marvin Richards Reversible Jacket

One more item... I’ve worn out my Swarovski crystal bangles that I purchased last August and would like to replace it with the following default bracelet.
Venetian link bracelet by Tiffany & Co.

THE END
