Monkey Fighters are based in Bristol and combine fat keyboards, darkly riffing guitars and powerful vocals with songs about diamond heists, menacing monks and women in barrels. Leader of this simian pugilist collective is a long shadow known as Jon Penny, delivering the Monkey Fighter Manifesto via guitar and voice. Stu Waller provides sweeping low-level sonic attacks on bass, while Ian Bostic practices assault and battery on a vast array of drums and cymbals.
