On November 1^st, 2009, kate spade new york launched its winter line that features merchandise handcrafted by Women for Women International graduates in Bosnia and Herzegovina.For the past four years kate spade new york and Women for women International have been working together to promote micro-enterprises for women in recovering communities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. Recent graduates, who have received year-long vocational skills training from Women for Women International, are employed by kate spade new york through the hand in hand project and knitted hats, gloves, and other items for the Winter 2009 line. Our Founder and CEO, Zainab Salbi, recently was able to visit each of the country offices who are currently preparing to break ground and start construction on a Women's Opportunity Center.
