Divos/ Divas,
.
Check out this great review done by Out Impact. They really sum it up well and definitely leave a good taste in my mouth.
.
“This album is realness personified, from every spectrum of emotion
without being cheap, cheesy or overdone. With “Prey,” I love the
tribal drumming and rock hypnotic flare, unapologetic sexuality and
flirting. “Forever Together” sounds like a intercom message from a
flight attendant, setting the intention of the future being bright with
someone you value. “Love-o-matic” has updated Motown groove to it, and
“On My Mind” is taking a risk of vulnerability to someone you’re into.”
.
Go check it out HERE and let them know what you think!
.
XOXO
JayBezz

Check out the 8up blog! They are on what’s new in music.. and what they like is JayBezz!
.
“The8up Is trying to support this newly upcoming artists JAYBEZZ. We
have an exclusive interview with him and his album is out today..
8up: Who IS JayBezz?
.
JB: I’m a traveler from the future who grew up in the past. At least
musically., I hope my project, “Evolove” represents that. I’m a
performer. I love to dance, and I love to love.
.
8up: Are you concerned with how people will take to your music?
.
JB: Not at all. I do what I do, and I do it well. People can
critique anything they see in their lives, but I will always be proud
of the things I create because they represent me.”

Current mood: confident
The work begins now! More people are talking about JayBezz and the new album! Here’s the latest over at The Gay Atheist Blog:
“How did you come up with the title for your new album “Evolove”?
.
This album documents the evolution of love. Not just a political statement of men loving men, but a personal statement of how my love life has evolved. Lots of personal stories about me and my ex’s on this album.
.
What inspires your unique look?
.
Fierce. All day. Everyday. Ok,
that’s not true.. there are so many days I sit around in sweats and a
T-shirt. I’m also called a nudist by friends who know me best. I turn
the dial to 11 when it’s time to perform for the fans. They deserve to be entertained, and I make sure to bring it.”
Read up! Share your thoughts!

Hey Divos and Divas!!
.
Today is the big day! I can’t begin to describe the emotions I feel
releasing this album. I joked to my friend saying, “My first child had
better astonish, because I would hate for that to have to compete with
what I’m feeling right now”. I have given birth to my first album. It
is for YOU. I want to
hear from you now! How are you pimping me to your friends? What’s
your favorite track on the album? Do your feet smell? ALL OF IT!
Leave me comments here! I appreciate the luv. I can’t wait to give
you MORE!
.
For now, I’ll just enjoy it.. I welcome you to join me.
.
Love.
.
XOXO
JayBezz

People have talked about relationship abuse, but there's one thing
that is continually missing in the conversation. I think there are so
many music artists out there using misogyny in the industry. I just
wanted to do something to bring it to the surface. Every time I hear
lyrics like "Hey Bitch! Wait till you see my dick" I am forced to ask
myself.. "Do women listen to this?" I'm not a censorship supporter nor
am I saying that it shouldn't be out there for adults to "enjoy" if
they so wish, but it does contribute to a problem. Kids are
listening to that shyt. Impressionable minds are prevalent in America.
.
We, no doubt, have a violent culture.. I think we can do better.
Hip hop, Rap and RnB don't need to continue to subscribe to the same
archetypes of masculinity. Easy to say coming from me.. but it's none
the less true.
.
Personally I felt that the tone in "I've TOLD Rihanna countless
times .. that I'm truly truly sorry" was very telling. It's not mine
to forgive, and I do believe in redemption, but that must come with
time and trust. With this song, I wanted to make the point that
relationship abuse is a real problem, especially in young people. And
the scars don't heal with a simple (rehearsed) apology.
.
Never before has a generation looked so vigorously for role models
in pop culture, and never before has pop culture been so saturated with
sex and violence. We can make a difference as consumers, as voters and
as friends.. If you see abuse, report it. If you or someone you know
are being abused, there is help.. and you can start here: www.stoprelationshipabuse.org
.
.
You can download the song for free at the online Store of jaybezz.com Love. XOXO JayBezz

Divos/ Divas:
.
.
“There has always been homophobia in the entertainment industry.
People have been told to hide their relationships, change their lyrics,
dress differently, and much more. When I began in the music industry,
it was expected that my lyrics would be about “her” and who “she” was
to me. I remember sitting in the studio with the lyricists they
brought in and talking about how we can effectively change all the men
I referenced in my lyrics to women. There was talk from managers about
getting me a beautiful girlfriend to hang on my arm. There were photo
shoots where I struggled to keep the baggy jeans they brought from
wardrobe from falling to my ankles. It took some growing up to realize
what I had become.”
.
Make sure you go and check it.. and I’d really like to know your
opinion.. does the industry overstep her bounds? Am I right to put her
in her place? Discuss children.

Yeah, it’s like that!!
.
“HIH had the pleasure of meeting JayBezz
earlier this month and sampling some of his tunage. Our fave so far:
“Drops the Beat,” a Janet Jackson-esque joint full of seductive synths
(He’s rehearsing with choreographer Allan Frias from So You Think You Can Dance for the music video)! And having worked with such hotness like SWV, RuPaul, Kelly Rowland, Mario and Janelle Monae, JayBezz is growing into his own style of electro-jazz-R&B fusion (Think: Sam Sparro with the swagger of Andre 3000).
Listen. Learn. Love.”
.
.
I can’t get enough from the people talking about the album! Hope you guys keep showin’ the luv. MUAH
XOXO

The Queer Ear Blog posted their interview. You guys should go and check it. They say some really awesome things in there like:
.
“The pride and confidence evidenced by his description of House
culture translates into JayBezz’s musical ideal: “swagger,” an “in your
face quality” that defies the sense of self-consciousness and weakness
that can accompany difference, innovation, and creative pursuits. I
think this notion is most clearly demonstrated in the dichotomy between
his visual image and musical sound. JayBezz constructs a hard-edged
physical look. His music, though, revels in a smooth R&B musical
language, at times longing, at times playful.”
.
I love it! Make sure to check it and leave me hella comments!
