We've had a tumultuous fortnight, but we're now back on track with getting the EP done. Final song needs a couple more rehearsals before we commit it to logic, artwork is ready (and GORGEOUS - thanks Yuki ;) and the 3 initial songs sound AMAZING (thanks dpye)

Lots of gigs booked for the new year, will be up shortly. More soon....

Mike can't (and hence neither can we) do the gig on the 17th October... apologies everyone [cries] The EP's not ready yet either, and these launch things tend to go so much better when you have something to launch...

3 songs are totally finished, and the fourth is rehearsed - just need to get it committed to tape. Feels So Right is probably my favourite at the moment... although it keeps switching with Lithium Ion

would put some on MySpace, but I want it to be a surprise for you all...

TIN MAN PRESS RELEASE

To clarify, and calm all those of you who have been wracked with anxiety, I can confirm that our Michael Jackson is, in fact alive.

Firstly, thanks everyone for coming last night and selling out B2 - hope you liked the new number (even though the bass part is a bitch to sing over...). Finished the recording phase of the core 3 songs for our new EP yesterday too - featuring the sound of a stick being whipped through the air. Dave made it into a loop, sounds good!

So the good news is that Phil has had his Cymbals returned by the person who "found" them... that guy could lose ANYTHING and get it back... hst!

Disasterously our drummer Phil had his cymbals stolen in Norwich at the weekend. If anyone - especially in bands - is offered a whole set of v.good cymbals at a knock down price, please get in touch. Phil is offering a £250 reward, no questions asked as he is mightily attached to them.

If you know any drummers, please forward this message on.

Don't forget we're playing (with borrowed cymbals, for sure) at B2 on Tuesday (23rd)

The overreaction to music theft is worse even than the old home-taping shite that was peddled by the fat cats and Metallica-Princes. I spend just as much on CDs/Vinyl as I ever did (i.e. as much as I can afford)... and also download my head off as I love music. It's not lost money : I couldn't have bought everything I've ever downloaded.  And any case, me buying that Lily Allen record I just downloaded as intrigue would have prevented me buying something else - like the new Brownies record - which is ace and way more deserving ;)

P.S. Rant kicked off by : http://www.badscience.net/2009/06/home-taping-didnt-kill-music/

P.P.S. No, I didn't REALLY download Lily Fukcing Allen

Recorded the guitars today at home (saves money, done it?)

Dairy Milk cornetto rip-offs (thanks Will) took a leading role in making our overall happiness levels soar. Mike's guitar lines sounded wicked too... could've been one of those perfect days... pretty close anyhow...

... is up here: http://www.vimeo.com/4791188

created by Dr.Ian. There was talk of putting Sorry out as part of an E.P. but we've written (and are in the process of recording) new tracks for that now. thought we'd make the video anyhow...
