Hey everyone... thanks for a great tour... we had a blast... such great energy from all y'all that came out to the shows...

and thanks to everyone who helped put the shows on at each college...

Now it's time for all of us to give thanks with our families... and then get over to Switzerland to finish the album.

2010 is gonna be a good year...

But that is then... and this is now...

and tonight I saw something on the ever enjoyable and educational superforest.org that made me soooooo excited...

Here is a video of an austrian composer who took an audio recording of a child's voice and then broke the sound down into its tiniest pitch variations (he described this process of breaking down sound waves as being similar to breaking down an image into individual pixels) and then had a machine player piano play those notes in a way that made the exact sound of this child's voice come out of the piano strings... you have to see it to believe it... it's amazing... got me thinking about how much can be communicated by a musical instrument...

Maroon 5 wants to help fight hunger this holiday season and will be working with colleges at their upcoming shows on canned food drives. Take a look below for details about the food drive at each upcoming show (each collection is the night of the show):

11/14 - Lewisburg, PA - Bucknell University
Concert goers are being asked to bring the following items to the show on 14th November. The food will be packaged up by students into hampers and given out to under privileged families prior to Thanksgiving, who have been nominated by local charities and Red Cross: - Boxed stuffing
- Instant potatoes
- Canned cranberry sauce
- Canned vegetables
- Canned gravy
- Any additional Thanksgiving-related, non-perishable food items
- Monetary donations are also welcome - this will be used to put towards grocery store gift cards so the families can purchase a turkey

11/16 - Newark, DE - University of Delaware
All canned food, other non-perishable items and monetary donations given on the night will be delivered to the Food Bank Of Delaware. Collection area will be at the entry of the venue.

11/18 - Peoria, IL - Bradley University
All canned food, other non-perishable items and monetary donations given on the night will be delivered to Peoria Area Food Bank. Collection area will be at the entry of the venue.

11/21 - San Angelo, TX - Angelo State University
All canned food, other non-perishable items and monetary donations given on the night will be delivered to the Concho Valley Food bank. Collection area will be at front of the venue near the radio station broadcast vans.

1122 - Wichita, KS - Wichita State University
All canned food, other non-perishable items and monetary donations given on the night will be delivered to the Kansas Food Bank. Collection area will be at the entry of the venue.

Just a reminder to everyone going to the Maroon 5 shows in Fairfield, CT tonight and Lewisburg, PA on 11/14, there is a "no camera" policy at the venue. Please remember to leave the cameras behind for these shows.

Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, our amazing drummer Matt Flynn had to leave the current tour for a few days.  We'd like give a huge thanks to our friend Adrian Young of No Doubt for filling in!  We're going to miss Adrian, but we couldn't be happier that Matt is back on the road with us.
