It has been a while since we have put something new up to listen to, so we are going to let you hear a little Anaura live. This is "Ghostwriter", recorded at Bottom of the Hill in 2007.  A little rough on the mix, but fun. Enjoy.

Alex and Josh have been working on Song #s 1,2,3 (3 is now titled Dark Horse),4, and have just added songs 5 and 6 to the mix. All is sounding new and exciting. Things are starting to feel good and the wheels seem to be turning again. Thank you to all who keep in touch with us, we look forward to showing off some new material soon.

Anaura is not Anaura for this show. Worse for drink is the name for this night. Only Alex and Josh will be performing some of the list of Anaura songs, and will also be throwing a few extra twists in (maybe a brand new song, maybe some surprise guest appearances). It has been quite a few months since they have hit the stage. Come out and throw the forefinger and pinky. Show at 6pm.

Alex and Josh returned to Pirate Cat Radio (broadcast in San Francisco, LA and Berlin Germany) to hang out with DJ Yuri G and Sean, talk about the new sounds of Anaura which they are working on in the studio. The discussion was all over the board, ranging from activities in their San Francisco neighborhood, the White House record collection, to the long Norwegian winters and Norwegian Black Metal. They played music from many artists including David Bowie, M83, Bread, Flaming Lips and Meshuggah (speaking of Norwegian Black Metal). Seems anytime you get Alex and Josh in a room together,  they will offer up some tasty metal treats. They also threw in some good ole Anaura remixes.

Anaura has brought a new bassist, Wesley Pua, into the fold. Just wait!

Yes, it has been a good 100 plus hours of recording, mixing and (next week) mastering our new release, but well worth it. The cd is titled All the secrets you know, and we will be playing it for the first time (and have cd's) at the cd release party at Bottom of the Hill on January 24th. Put the date in your books now, yes? Listening to the cd (premaster even), is coming across (and said to be) our best yet. We look forward to seeing you soon.
