Current mood: loved
We have been asked/forcefully told to get get some music up on our page numerous times. We do hear you, but we don't really want to put recordings of our cover songs up. We have them on www.kizmaz.net if you want to hear them. We pretty much always end up in some sort of crazy jam at practice, but we don't usually get it recorded. We just happened to get one last Wednesday. So this is kinda close to what you wanted. Tom has a goofy thing about phishing that will come up. You don't need a password KiZMaZ PRaCTicE JaMIt wasn't planned, and it's not meant to sound like anything. This is a 1:40 sample of that "song". There's almost 9 min of the "song", but we felt no one could take all 9 minutes all at once. If you really want to hear it all we could set that up for you. On a serious note, this is not one of our originals. We are currently working on a few. And we will bombard you with them when the time is right. Peace T

The other piece of bread of our turkey day sandwich was Josh's Saloon in Forreston. A small bar in a small town that is MASSIVE fun. They were super cool the last time we were there, and this time was no different. They kept those ice cold Budweisers and shots coming from beginning to end. They even made up this kick ass sign to advertise the show (note to self: get them some of our fliers next time) I would never say that we are the 1 band in the area, but I'm humbled as hell that someone else took the time put it on there. And, they spelled our names right and the KiZMaZ too. you'd be surprised how often people don't. The night also featured a guest appearance from Jason, who just walked in the door, and played mandolin for Gin and Juice. I have no photos from my camera as it took a crap at Champs on Weds, but I think Doug got a few. If you have any pics, send 'em our way. The only thing missing last night was no Geo or Weebs. It's just not the same without them. Peace T

What else can I say.. That was a blast!! Jack's really went all out on decorations. There wasn't one square inch not covered in spiderwebs, or moving spiders, or flying skulls. Looked like it must have taken a long time to put that all together. The pre-show grub was outstanding too. Lots of great costumes too. My personal fav was the Edward Scissor Hands. It finished second in the contest because the winner was a 280 pound man dressed as Big Momma that kept doing the splits. That really won the crowd over. Made me sore just seeing it. 3rd place went to an Oscar Meyer Wiener. He sang the song too. Myself, I was worried I was going to have a wardrobe malfunction, as my pirate pants are VERY loose. Luckily, gravity did not win that battle. I think the show went off great; everyone seemed to be having a great time. I know I was. It was great to see all our Forreston friends again. And, those from Polo too. Always good to see Geo and Weebs, and the Kims. You guys make this a lot of fun. Leave some comments if I forgot anything. I had several Budweisers last night, and I may be a bit forgetful. Thanks to Weebs for these photos. Peace T

What a long strange trip that was. We got a great jump on the trip to Bloomington. My brother (ms. Molly (for now)) let us borrow his business trailer because it's bigger than ours. We were way ahead of schedule so we could set-up,eat, shower and relax before the show at 10PM. We got just a few miles from Bloomington when tire tread started flying off. What should have been an ordinary tire change got crazy. The rim was rusted solid to the axle. It would not come off no matter what we bashed it with. Plus, we were on the shoulder on the interstate with lots of cars racing past us. We had to call for a tow... With the trailer unhitched, the tow truck truck driver tried bashing the rim with a ram, but needed to haul it to Farm & Fleet where they had better equipment. Sye, and Doug rode with the van to F & F. The better equipment turned out to be 8 bashes with a large sledgehammer and it finally broke free. Meanwhile....Back on the interstate JP, Mono, and I were waiting for a truck from Fat Jacks to come take us and the trailer to the show. The truck eventually found us, and we were on our way. Doug called as we got closer to say the van was fixed, and they'd meet us there. When we got to the hotel, they already knew about the tire, and were expecting us to be a little late checking in. Super cool of them. They also told us to "take it easy on the furniture" this time. Apparently, one person that traveled with us last time, may have had some troubles opening the desk in the room. But, parties sometimes happen. Ok let's get to the show damn it T!!! We only started 1/2 hour late after all of that trouble. The show went very well. A lot of people told me they had a great time, or we sounded great, and asked when we'd be back. Did the actual show escape the curse that night???? nope. A drink got spilled on Doug's guitar effects pedal and rendered it useless. But, Doug changed his setup and rocked on like nothing happened. I think if you hooked some rubber bands on a shoe box, Doug could make that sound awesome too. After the show we went back to the hotel to party a little and relax. For a little bit anyway. We decided that we had to go to Steak N Shake at 5AM. Why not? There we were given a side dish of cole slaw that didn't look very good to begin with, then we added ketchup, Sweet n Low, Equal, Pepper sauce (and one of the pepper from the bottle), pepper, and it needed some slat. Our waitress Kayla was great, she ate some of it for $10. It was damn funny i know that. I also got a very large glass of milt spilled on me. Sye lost grip on it, and I got pretty soaked with milk. No one cried over the spilled milk. We made it back to the hotel for a few hours of shut eye and all the bad luck would be over. The next morning we got our stuff tore down, and loaded up. We stopped for snacks and GAS, and got some real food too. We are on our way home. Making great time again. Until, we ran out of gas in Manlius. We got a gallon off a guy named Mike, who was very cool about everything. Made it to a station with it, and then we could finally get back home. We came together as a band and got through some tough times, and made them not seem bad. No one got mad at anyone else, and we laughed at every problem. I'm tired for just typing all of that. I've saved all thank you till the end so I could give them props a little better. Thank you's go to: Enright's Heating/Cooling-- for use of the fancy trailer. Randy from Brown's towing--for not charging us too much and arranging with Farm and Fleet to help us out. Tim from Farm and Fleet--for getting the tire off, and not charging much for it. Nick and Mike from Fat Jack's--for coming to pick us and the trailer off the interstate. Geo and Lisa--for making the long trip from Lanark Mike from Manlius--for the gas that got us to the station. The Signature INN--for knowing about the troubles, and being cool about the furniture malfunction before. T's special thanks to Doug, JP, Mono, and Sye--for handling every emergency and making it a fun weekend even though the times got tough.
until next time T

What a blast. Gabe and Nicole throw the best parties. I knew it was gonna be a great night when Rog got his truck stuck in the mud. Photos are everywhere by now. Nice looking truck too. We had Blue Dragon open up for us; those kids are damn good. We also had a surprise visit from Rusted Hook so they got up and rocked a few tunes too. They even did a couple on our acoustics later on. Great seeing you guys out there, you rocked the place. There was some kick ass fireworks going on, a wet T shirt contest, a few fights, a few visits from some nosy cops, and a whole lots of beer. I think we finished playing somewhere around 2AM. I can't really remember thanks to the beer I mentioned earlier. So correct that if I'm wrong. I am curious as to how many people were there, but I do know there was a lot. I know of at least a few people that never made it because they got lost. I had a great time, jump in with some comments if I left some stuff out. Late T
P.S. I should thank Mitch for the wardrobe.

3 members of KiZMaZ will now be working under the same roof. JP and I have worked together for a while now, Sye will be joining the madness too. This can't be good for the world. Should be great for KiZMaZ as I get to talk to Sye a bit more often. I wish I had something coming up to talk about that was fun. Just anything that KiZMaZ was going to be doing. J/k the Hill party is coming this SATURDAY!!!!!! I can't wait. We all had a great time last time. It sounds like even more people will be there this time, so even more fun. See you there. Late

Keuhl's Pub on saturday night rocked. Yes it was tight in there, and you had to walk through the band to get to the pissers, but we all had a blast. It's not a tiny bar, it's just the layout, and how big we get when we set up. And, in Real estate, you never say small, you say cozy. This was a last minute deal cause a gig fell through a few weeks ago. JP and I work with the owner, Phil, so we got it done. Phil told me that that was the biggest crowd he ever had with a band. So super huge thanks to all of you KiZMaZtics that came to the tiny berg that is Prophetstown. Some from Lanark!!! It was good to see alot of the good people that work at the factory with me too. I call it the Pen. And, Gabe came down from his hill too. <---can't wait for that party coming up!!! And, super thanks to Dana for the loan of a mic stand; without it Doug would have had to be silent. A great night. Why can't every day be saturday? T

Champs-Élysées click to pronounce is the most prestigious avenue in Paris. The name refers to the Elysian Fields, the place of the blessed in Greek mythology. And, Champs is the best place for live entertainment in Sterling. Plus, it has CHAMPS in it so I thought it was clever. This weekend may have been the most fun I have had playing in this band. So many people up dancing and singing on the kick ass new floor. And, some very lovely ladies dancing on stage. I think I would have paid to be in this band this weekend. I don't think that anyone reads this or I wouldn't say that because the guys will be asking for $$. Thanks to all who came out, and thanks for all your energy; That's what makes this all worth while. Many thanks to the entire Champs staff for keeping the beers coming, and cold. Oh, the Champs burger I had on Sunday tear-down was fncking delicious. I can't wait to play there again. T
