On Sunday the 28th, we're playing at the Liverpool Olympia on West Derby Road. For those without grandparents who keep telling them, the Olympia is one of (if not the) last remaining venues of its kind in the UK. Recently the owners and event organisers have decided to bring back live bands to perform at the venue, and so this Sunday we will be performing live. Line-up: I Am Austin The Vibes Earl Grey And The Legomen Roomerz The Real Kicks Alistar The Torn The gig is at 5-10pm, and entrance is £4 (or £3 with NUS). There is another event going on in a different part of the building, so please print off this flyer and hand it in at the door to prevent confusion: In other news, Sunday's gig is also the debut gig of our awesome new drummer Jay Lennon. Trust us - Jay's skills make everything sound about twelve million times better, so don't miss it! Peace, EGLM

Today is the release date of our debut single featuring Last Summer and Britain In The Rain. It is limited edition, and is only £3 (Including £1 postage and packaging in the UK) directly from I Blame The Parents Records. Please visit the IBTP Myspace page here to buy the single. Scroll down and check the right-hand side for PayPal links. You should see three seperate links to buy the single, priced as follows (All prices INCLUDE the postage and packaging cost): Earl Grey and The Legomen: £3.00 Earl Grey and The Legomen Europe: £3.50 Earl Grey and The Legome Rest of World: £4.00 All of this is running pretty much at-cost, as IBTP is a brand new independent startup - so if you want to show your support, it'd be very much appreciated! IBTP has a great roster of bands affiliated with it now, and since all of the singles are limited edition (Only 100 each!), you can own a little slice of history and show it to your grandkids. Or something like that, anyway! Peace, EGLM

Tomorrow (June 2nd) we have a single coming out on brand new startup I Blame The Parents Records. The single A-Side is Last Summer, with Britain In The Rain making the B-Side. It's all being released at-cost, so we'd REALLY appreciate the support if you buy the single (only a few quid), pass it around friends etc. It's limited edition (Only 100 being made!), so make sure you get your hands on a little slice of history pie.

Yo yo!
We've just put a brand new song up on our player. It's got no name at the moment - its called 'Unnamed and Unshamed' right now - because we're too lazy to think of a proper one, so if you've got any ideas just let us know :)
This one's got dueling rappers - first time we've done a song like this so let us know what you think!
Peace out, EGLM

Send an email to earlgreyandtheNOSPAMlegomen@gmail.com with the subject 'subscribe', to be added to our mailing list (Please remove 'NOSPAM' from the email address). We will send out an email to subscribers pretty much whenever we have something interesting to tell you, e.g: gig listings, new songs, general news. Myspace is great and all, but for those fans who don't have a Myspace, a mailing list is a better way for them to get information. We will also be collecting people's email addresses at gigs :) Peace! Earl Grey and The Legomen

Well, our favourite bar in the land has changed owners. We were scared for the future of such a fine establishment, but things are looking pretty, pretty, pretty good! Patrick's Bar in Crosby is now called 'Murphy's', which is great considering we're all of Irish descent (except that sneaky little Welsh intruder Mr Tommy Jones). Prices have gone down a bit, it's been given a paint job, and it seems a bit more lively than usual. All of this is great, but what's even better is that we now have a residency there, and we are paid in alcohol, which really just cuts out the boring intermediary step of physically buying the beer with the cash that a less forward-thinking venue might (or might not?) have given us. What does this mean for our fans? Well, it means that on the last Sunday of every month, you can come down to Murphy's bar for a free gig. We'll see you all on the 27th of January then!
Oh, we also need a name for the night. We're open to suggestions, so if you've got any, let us hear them!
More news:
Expect some acoustic versions of our songs sometime soon.
We are getting gig offers for London and other non-Liverpool places fairly regularly. If you are going to offer us a gig outside of Liverpool, please offer to help with the costs of transport. We're all skint and none of us can drive (interesting fact of the day right there), so gigs anywhere outside of Liverpool are pretty difficult for us to work in unless some kind soul will give us a lift.
A recording of 'The Thirsty Scholar' will be available soon. Don't pretend we haven't seen you all dancing to it.
One last thing - January 12th is the one year anniversary of EGLM's live performances. It is also the night of our gig at Liverpool Carling Academy 2, supporting The Mission Babies. Come along and say hello - it's £5 in and the doors open at 7:00pm.
Peace, Earl Grey and The Legomen
