Hi, Everyone----and Happy New Year!

I'm still trying my best to play catch up from the holiday season, but imagine my surprise when I checked The Romance Studio's webpage to find an author friend who'd been nominated for several CAPA's...and finding my very own name and my first published novel, Ridley's Rival, nominated as one of the best 2007 Contemporary Erotic Romances.  I couldn't believe it, still can't, and I'm obviously still in shock.  For me, this means more than I could have ever imagined.  My author name is very new out there, and to be given such a prestigious honor, well, I'm left speechless!

I want to personally thank The Romance Studio and their staff for the wonderful nomination.

Ridley's Rival will be coming out in print as part of an anthology called Cowboys in early 2008.  Anastasia Rabiyah, S.D. Grady and Carol McKenzie also share the spotlight with wonderful erotic western novels of their own.  Available from:

Welcome to my blog, Friends!

Well, the moment I've been waiting for for so long time has arrived (but not without some rocky obstacles along the way). *sigh*  Diary of Daniella Rolfe has been released through New Concepts Publishing!

Daniella is the beginning of a series called "The First".  It was originally just a mere short chapter that I entered into a fiction contest on my writing site.  The prompt was to write in the style of your favorite author.  Of course, I chose Anne Rice.  Unfortunately, the moderator of the contest had no idea who Anne was (SHOCK)!  Needless to say, I never placed in the contest, but others who read it critiqued one thing..."it was too short--make it into a novel."  Thus, Diary of Daniella Rolfe was born (in more ways than one). 

It's not your run-of-the-mill vampire tale.  Daniella is seven centuries old, the last vampire of the First, and she feeds differently from her kin.  I wanted to create a unique type of blood-drinker, and a plot that held twists and turns, and the nagging question of "who dun it" right to the end. 

My first review of the unedited manuscript received a five out of five, so here's hoping readers out there will feel the same.  Kindred Blood (the second novel in this series) is finished and should follow shortly.  This continues Daniella and Aiden's plight which forks into something far bigger than either of them imagined, especially when Aiden is kidnapped by rogue vampires, and Daniella must find and free him.  Crimson Cries (the final in The First series) is currently in the process of being halfway written.  I hope to have it finalized early in the new year.

I've received a second review on Ridley's Rival, my modern-day western novella.  I'm so excited!    People actually enjoy the book!  Okay, I shouldn't be shocked...I worked very hard on it, but I'm such a worry-wart.  Anyway, if you care to read the review, here it is.
