The Arden Theatre Company presents The History Boys (Sept. 24-Nov. 1). Subscriptions are currently available; however, single ticket sale begins for all season shows on Sept. 1.

Winner of a Tony® Award and Olivier Award, Bennett's international comedy chronicles the final year of eight clever young history students at a British boarding school in pursuit of sex, sport, and admission into Oxford or Cambridge. Two teachers become rivals for the hearts and minds of the boys in this hilarious and provocative new play.

Arden Theatre Company presents

Lookingglass Theatre Company's

Lookingglass Alice

In association with Actors Gymnasium

Adapted and Directed by David Catlin

May 10 – June 10, 2007

Lookingglass Alice will whisk you away to a Wonderland ruled by a larger than life Red Queen where Alice truly defies gravity and Humpty Dumpty actually falls from his perilous ledge. Audiences will be mesmerized by Lookingglass' signature style of visual storytelling filled with daring theatricality and astonishing acrobatics. Combining witty word play, madcap mischief and fantastical flights of aerial fancy, Lewis Carroll's spectacularly surreal classics are brought vividly to life in this wildly imaginative production reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil. The entire theater becomes Alice's stage as she navigates a chessboard of "curioser and curioser" characters - a juggling Mad Hatter, acrobatic hedgehogs, a unicycle-riding White Knight and a host of others - who appear from above, below and everywhere in between.

The Arden is located at 40 N. 2nd Street, Old City Philadelphia. For tickets call 215-922-1122 or visit www.ardentheatre.org. This play was written for adults but Lookingglass Alice is appropriate for the older (10 and up), more theatre-savvy child as well.
