A few days before his Inauguration, President Obama announced the formation of a new organization that will build on your movement for change: Organizing for America.

Organizing for America will continue the work of the largest grassroots movement in history, one driven by volunteers, grassroots leaders, and ordinary citizens.

What you built can't stop now. Organizing for America will continue to bringing new people and ideas into the political process.

The challenges facing our country are too great, and our journey to change America is just beginning.

Before his Election Night speech last night, Barack sent out this message to suppporters:

I'm about to head to Grant Park to talk to everyone gathered there, but I wanted to write to you first.

We just made history.

And I don't want you to forget how we did it.

You made history every single day during this campaign -- every day you knocked on doors, made a donation, or talked to your family, friends, and neighbors about why you believe it's time for change.

I want to thank all of you who gave your time, talent, and passion to this campaign. We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I'll be in touch soon about what comes next.

But I want to be very clear about one thing...

All of this happened because of you.

Thank you,

Barack

In Kentucky, polls are open today from 6:00 AM until 6:00 PM local time. Anyone who is in line by 6:00 PM will be allowed to vote. You can find your polling location now.

Do I need to bring ID with me when I go vote?

All voters must produce identification or be known by a precinct officer prior to voting. KRS117.227 and 31 KAR 4:010 provide the types of ID that can be used by the voter such as: personal acquaintance of precinct officer, driver's license, Social Security card, credit card, or another form of ID containing both picture and signature.

What time will the polls be open on November 4?

6:00 am–6:00 pm local time

For additional information or for any issues you may have with voting visit our Voter Information Center or call 1-877-US-4-OBAMA (877-874-6226).

We have 5 days left to make sure as many people as possible cast their votes for change.

But you'd be surprised how many of your friends and family don't know where to vote in your state, a crucial battleground state.

Take a minute to look up your polling place on our voting website, VoteForChange.com, then forward this email to your friends, family, and neighbors so they can look up theirs, too.

On VoteForChange.com you can find out where to vote and get crucial voting information.

This race is too close for you -- or anyone you know -- not to vote.

And the issues we're facing are too important to keep anyone's voice out of the political process just because they didn't know where to vote.

Can you forward this email to at least five friends, family members, or coworkers and tell them to look up their polling location?

Supporters like you can transform this nation, and I'm counting on your help to make sure every Obama supporter in your state knows where they can cast their vote for change on Election Day.

Thank you for your help,

Jon

Right now you have a unique opportunity to make a big difference in this election.

With a tight race next door in a key battleground state and only a few weeks until Election Day, local volunteers are working day and night to reach out to voters and help build the change America needs.

But they can't do it alone.

Every weekend from now until Election Day, supporters like you are coming together to join their neighbors and make a difference for Barack. It's a great opportunity to turn your enthusiasm into action and help win this election.

You've done a great job in your home state, and now the campaign needs the help of Obama supporters to carry Barack's message of change to neighboring states.

Will you take a short trip to make a big difference this weekend?

More bad news about the economy comes out every day.

We can continue the same failed Bush-McCain policies of the last eight years, or we can bring the change we need by electing Barack Obama.

It's up to us as members of this nationwide grassroots movement for change to make sure voters hear Barack's message. Face-to-face contact is the most effective way to connect with voters, and your voice could be the one that helps make the difference.

No experience is required. Campaign staff will provide you with everything you need to succeed.

Sign up now and come together with fellow supporters to make a difference:

We can't do this without you.

Barack recently sent out the following email...

You'd be surprised by how many people you know who aren't registered to vote.

Registration deadlines are coming up soon, and we need every single vote we can get to win this election.

Tell your friends, family, and neighbors to check out our new one-stop voter registration website.

Just forward this message.

VoteforChange.com makes it easier than ever to register. Instead of tracking down the right forms, all you need to do is answer a few basic questions and you'll be ready to vote. You can also:

-- Confirm your existing registration
-- Apply to vote absentee
-- Find your polling place

If you don't know your own registration status or you'd like to learn more, take a minute to visit the site right now.

This race is too close and too important to stay home on Election Day.

If you take the time to register and vote -- and make sure everyone you know is registered as well -- we'll be able to turn the tide of the past eight years.

It's people just like you who will transform this nation.

Thanks,

Barack

Friend --

I have some important news that I want to make official.

I've chosen Joe Biden to be my running mate.

Joe and I will appear for the first time as running mates this afternoon in Springfield, Illinois -- the same place this campaign began more than 19 months ago.

I'm excited about hitting the campaign trail with Joe, but the two of us can't do this alone. We need your help to keep building this movement for change.

Please let Joe know that you're glad he's part of our team. Share your personal welcome note and we'll make sure he gets it:

http://my.barackobama.com/welcomejoe

Thanks for your support,

Barack

P.S. -- Make sure to turn on your TV at 2:00 p.m. Central Time to join us or watch online at http://www.BarackObama.com.

Barack Obama is about to make one of the most important decisions of this campaign -- choosing a running mate.

You have helped build this movement from the bottom up, and Barack wants you to be the first to know his choice.

Sign up today to be the first to know:

http://my.barackobama.com/vp

You will receive an email the moment Barack makes his decision, or you can text VP to 62262 to receive a text message on your mobile phone.

Once you've signed up, please forward this email to your friends, family, and coworkers to let them know about this special opportunity.

No other campaign has done this before. You can be part of this important moment.

Be the first to know who Barack selects as his running mate.

Thanks,

David

Dear Friend,

I'm out here in Denver, Colorado visiting the site of the Democratic National Convention, and there is excitement in the mountain air.

Folks are working hard on Barack's plan for a truly open convention. It's a new and exciting approach that will open up this historic event -- just like you have opened up our political process through grassroots ownership of this campaign.

In just a few weeks, more than 75,000 people will enter a huge stadium here to see Barack accept the Democratic nomination for President of the United States.

You can be a part of that moment.

Free tickets will soon be available for the event, but in the meantime I wanted to tell you about another, very special opportunity.

If you make a donation in any amount before midnight on July 31st, you could be selected to travel to Denver for the final two days of the convention -- including the huge event at the open-air stadium on the final night.

Ten supporters will be selected from all over the country, and each will be able to bring one guest. We'll provide airfare, accommodations, and two days of convention activities -- including a private meeting with Barack before his historic speech.

Our team shot a short video of the stadium to give you a sense of the event. Watch the video and make a donation of $25 today, and you could go Backstage with Barack:

Our movement for change is the largest grassroots organization in the history of presidential politics. It's also the first true 50-state campaign in a generation.

We're competing in Alaska and Florida, Virginia and New Mexico, North Carolina and Georgia -- all because of you and our shared goal to bring as many people as possible back into the political process.

That means registering hundreds of thousands of new voters and relying on volunteers and supporters like you to help get out the vote.

But competing in every state will take unprecedented resources, and we need your help.

To give you an idea of what we're up against: John McCain and the Republican National Committee finished June with nearly 100 million dollars in cash on hand. Together with shadowy outside spending groups, they will spend huge sums of that money to spread negative messages about Barack and try to stop this movement for change. It will take all of us working together to counter their efforts.

Make a donation of $25 or more and you and a guest could be selected to come to Denver and go Backstage with Barack:

https://donate.barackobama.com/backstage

Supporters like you are the reason this campaign has been possible. We are thrilled that some of you will be able to celebrate what you accomplished with us in Denver.

But we have a long way to go and Barack can't do this without you.

Thanks,

Steve
