A giant wall attacked by wheat-paste, acrylics and paint pens by manic artists, flashing frames from a psychedelic film projection filled with soap-sudded women, ice cream cones bombed by pop-eye the sailor cartoons, green explosions of light, dance-crazed and Crown Royal soaked girls getting down on stage, scensters, hipsters, and trend-setters of all kinds were just a few of the stimulating sights that went down at the MSTRKRFT show, put on by Fieldtrip Entertainment at the Hard Rock Hotel on February 28^th.  Walter Meego, LA Riots, MSTRKRFT and San Diego's hometown heroes, Shark Attack! paired with the largest art wall put on by the Fieldtrip Live Art Show was a circus of vision and sound that rallied Legends of the Hard Rock Hotel so hard that at one point the speakers blew out.  

Despite the technical difficulty, the vibe in the venue refused to be smothered, as patrons danced through the night with arms raised and eyes crazed.  While some performers were jumping off the stage for a little good old fashioned crowd surfing, half-dressed females and boys in suffocating pants bombarded the hotel from every direction; if not inside the venue, some kids could be seen pouring in and out of the elevators with (a few with noses dripping) while others charged around the lobby or the outdoor area for a social cigarette bopping their heads and hips to the tunes of the next artist on stage.  This gave cause to the sweating security guards perched in the corners biting their lips; yet somehow everyone managed to escape the evening friction-free and Fieldtrip's Brett Fischer managed to avoid a hernia. 

Thus we raise our glasses to another peril performance of outrageous madness-and if you haven't lost your mind yet tune in for the next Fieldtrip which will be touring and tormenting San Diego in the upcoming months...
