We have put together some super pretty limited edition homemade CD's for the all the lucky people coming to our gig this Friday 30th May at The Enterprise, Chalk Farm. Seriously, we all have full-time jobs so we won't be embarking on any more of these Blue Peter-esque antics!

I've been listening to The Understudies songs via their My Space for a few months now. So I was absolutely chuffed when the band agreed to come and play the next Lostmusic night on 30th May (at The Enterprise in Camden). They're kicking the night off before we get to Plans & Apologies and Slow Down Tallahassee. If you're coming along - be sure to get there in time to see The Understudies as they make some of the best indiepop I've heard in a while.

The band have four songs for streaming on their My Space page (3 of which are downloadable - which is becoming something of the exception, not the rule, these days). If you have ever fallen for bands like The Magnetic Fields, Camera Obscura and Butcher Boy - you'll be right at home with The Understudies and their beautifully presented indiepop. 'Flickknives' is one of those pop songs that manages to drill itself into your brain - making itself comfortable and refusing to leave - it's fabulous little song and one I can't stop listening to. They're a cracking little band and I can't wait to see them this coming Friday.

Not bad eh?.........obscura, butcher and magnetics in one hit......we're seriously thinking of just giving up now cos it ain't gonna get better than that......

hope to see you all at the enterprise in camden this friday.

I hate people who run races for money.

"Ooh, sponsor me, sponsor me! I'll be dressing up as a chicken and running the length of the country cos I'm wacky!"
No. No no no no no no.

This is me. I don't do running. The last time I ran I was in my PE lessons at school. I don't even own anything to run in, I'm borrowing shorts and doing it in my Topshop plimsols. You get the idea. So, why? I was bullied into it until I cried by 2 friends and now I have to and I need help. (That's a lie, I was emotionally blackmailed....)

Ok, but it really is for good cause (Cancer Research UK) and it's only 5K round Battersea Park. It's this Weds 7th May but donations will be accepted by them until 21st May.

You can go here:

OR

Just go to my profile page and click on the big, purply can't-miss-it sponsor logo which links directly to my own personal online fundraising site. Frankly I feel i should get some kind of medal just for working out how to do that wonderful piece of technical nonsense.

Thank you in advance lovely, generous people

That's it! we've bloody well had enough, we're cutting out the middle man because the middle man's a cunt.

we're starting our own night, a night for nice people who just want to see some good bands and dance to music they like and not worry about how cool they are.

it's free and everyone (yes everyone!) is welcome.

So, we didn't need Kofi and the united nations after all. Just time and few pints. we will be tentatively playing alongside eachother in a rehearsal room on sunday with a slightly new line up. our grumpy pal graeme will be playing some bass, ukelele and mandolin (not at once you undertsand, that would be mental), Kris will be attempting to play drums and for bree it's business as usual with the glockenspiel, keyboard and vox (expect firworks from the young lady as she has been honing here skills with a real band, Aberfeldy!). If all goes well we'll be putting on a night in November.

ps. we'd like to recruit a real drummer if possible (sorry kris) anyone in London who thinks they'd like to get to know us and can play the drums please get in touch.
