Thanks to everyone who came to the funeral Sunday and the wake for Steve at Mt. Tabor Theater last night. There was so many people and friends I haven't seen in years, it was a great tribute to Steve's memory. Thanks to Roby, Chris Newman &  Charlie Nimms for singing a few songs. Also, to Wendy and Jason Okamoto for singing at the service, which touched more than a few of us sitting there that sad day. I'll be posting some more photos and video clips in the near future. Thanks to everyone who posted to this site with kind words and memories of our friend, Steve Casmano.

Steve lost his fight with cancer this morning and died. We're devastated and life will never be the same without him. We love you buddy, Vaya con Dios.

But The Flapjacks are no more. Due to Steve's illness, he can no longer play music, so without him the band is no longer together. The Flapjacks have been a way of life for close to 20 years, So with a heavy heart I say goodbye to that chapter in our lives. Thanks everyone.

a couple weeks ago, our bass player and pal steve ran head on into a telephone pole and hurt himself pretty badly. in the course of treating him, they found two large tumors on his liver. his prognosis could be better, but if you know steve, he a strong sonuvabitch so if anyone can beat it, he will. please keep steve in your thoughts and wish him a speedy recovery by posting on our page and i'll show him the replies when louie and i go see him this week.

Current mood:  nostalgic
...post 'em on this site. I was thinking of how many crazy shows we played in the 90s (we were literally playing 4 nights a week) and how fucking fun it was with such a small scene. Everybody knew everybody and the club scene was great with The Satyricon, Belmonts Inn, Kellys Olympian, EJ's, Mark's On Hawthorne, The 1201, The X-ray, etc. If you have any stories or memories or whatever, post 'em! i guess i've been feeling a bit nostalgic lately listening to our ol' friend Ray Condo...

First of all, thanks to everyone who came down to the new years show. i know downtown Portland on New Years is filled with braindead shitsacks , but thanks for coming down anyway. i'm bummed i didn't get to see the Roy Kay Trio at Duffs, along with Johnny M and The Skirtchasers. anyone i know go? as far as The Flapjacks, we don't have any shows coming up so we're probably gonna take it easy, maybe record a new record or something. i'm going to post some more pix and some live radio shows from the early 90s for free download if anyones interested.
adios!
