Finally, I've realized my lifelong ambition to have a playlist of songs with titles exclusively beginning with the letter m.
Not much to say about these "songs". They're all based on noise tracks with with oodles of reverb (often with various old sounds recycled as acoustic mirror impulses) and other filters. No sequencing, multi-tracking, STD testing or any shit like that was used in the primitive work process. Pretty basic, immediate stuff. I'm making an effort to master my tracks a little better before uploading them these days, but the harsh quality compression of the Myspace mp3's kind of spoils that effort a bit. For instance, those annoying shrieks and squeaks in the background towards the end of Melaina are compression artefatcs and are not meant to be there.

Current mood: gloomy
I've finally uploaded a couple of new tracks; Morons of Convenience, Maw of Time, plus a slightly better mastered version of Mercury For Moodiness. They're all based around generic noise signals treated with filters and were made very quickly before my idiot brain could get in too involved and ruin them.
All the song titles starts with an 'm' in accordance to the new EU laws.

As I'm now allowed to have ten songs on my profile, I've uploaded a couple of golden oldies from the archives to fill out the player. Enjoy!

Many, many, many months, perhaps even years, after reporting my upload problem to Myspace, it seems some intern now finally could spare five minutes to fix it. So, 'Wish someone would stoop so low as to fuck me' is back up at last. Not quite worth the wait perhaps, but I don't have anything else in the pipes so it will have to do. Hell, I haven't even got any music software installed on my new computer so don't expect any new material soon. Make your own damn music why don't you!

I had some issues with the track 'I wish someone would stoop so low as to fuck me' not playing properly (or at all) in the Myspace music player so I tried to remove it and re-upload it, to no avail. Now it's stuck in some kind of limbo state of existence where it won't show up in the player while still taking up space in my list of songs (I'm allowed to have six songs on my profile). I can't delete it to try and re-upload it again or replace it with something else. Editing out a word 'Fuck' from the title doesn't help (besides there's nothing in the Terms of Use that forbids that kind of language in the song titles).
So... it seems you are going to have to get by without the song for the time being. I have contacted the Myspace service group but I have yet to get a reply from them that isn't grossly irrelevant to my problem.

I've had this one lying around for some time, never being quite able to decide if it's any good or if it sounds like utter grap; I just renamed it 'Oktober' to make it seem more current (the completely irrelevant working title was ' Lutfisk'). Listening to it now I kind of regret posting it, but I guess it's no harm in leaving it up until I have something better to replace it with.

Damn Myspace player! My long songtitles never fit in the play window!
Just a little more whining in musical form. I should say something interesting about the sounds, but there are hardly any interesting sounds in it. From the beginning, it was meant to be this whacky noise track, but it changed. The sort of trembeling, whiny lead synth I use sometimes is produced by taking just about any type of synth-strings, or whatever, and distorting it and then removing the distortion with a heavy noisefilter and then distorting it slightly again. The birdsound is a failed bass line pitch really high with some filters. Come to think of it, I think most sounds in that last section are derived from the same bassline.

Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears: I have put together a little treat for yous to enjoy - a collection of nearly all (I do not dare say all, because I'm bound to have forgotten some) Schnagelkott tracks I have featured on my Myspace so far. Spanning from the awkwardly mixed whackyness of the early era (Disco, Nimbus...) via the golden middle era (Disrupted sleep pattern, Tiff through the timewarp, Unipolar...) to the unispired mush as of lately, this is without doubt the most comprehensive collection of Schnagelkott tracks that has ever come within reach of your mortal hands.
And, like all music that has ever been recorded, it is readily and freely available on the internet. More precisely HERE.
I apologise for the clicks at the end of some tracks. I put it down to my rather obsolete mp3-maker software. If you hear/spot any other mistakes, or if the download link goes down, please contact me in a civilized manner only.

Monday - Friday. I was going to include the whole week, but it would have made the track too long and diverse. Besides, I'm unable to make anything that sounds horrible enough to convey my hatred for Sundays.
