The leaves are a fiercer red this fall

The wind more cold is bringing

I've given it up and given all

I can hear distant voices singing.

I've handed myself to the underworld

And realized my darkest nightmares

Stopped short of seduction of underlords

Believing that you still care.

Current mood:  blissful

Oh there's something 'bout a man in black,
Makes me want to buy a cadillac,
Throw the top back,
And roll down to Jackson town,
I wanna be there on the stage with you,
You and I could be the next rage to,
Hear the crowd roar,
Make 'em one more,
I'll kick the footlights out,

I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,

I wanna hold you baby right or wrong,
Build a world around a country song,
Pray a sweet prayer,
Follow you there,
Down in history,

I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,

Like Johnny and June,
More than life itself,
No-one else,
This here is promise,
They don't make love like that anymore,
Is that too much to be askin' for,

I wanna love like Johnny and June,
Rings of fire burnin' with you,
I wanna walk the line,
Walk the line,
'Till the end of time,
I wanna love,
Love ya that much,
Cash it all in,
Give it all up,
When you're gone,
I wanna go too,
Like Johnny and June,

Like Johnny and June,
And when we're gone,
There'll be no tears to cry,
Only memories of our lives,
They'll remember, remember,
A love like that.

Thanks, but I'm great.  The latest disappointments aren't enough to get me down!  I am optimistically looking toward the future.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/asiapcf/08/12/oly.ki...

A little girl and her song captivated millions of viewers during the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. But what they saw was not what they heard.

When the WORLD is telling not so pretty girls to hide in the shadows, we should not be surprised by the justifiable feminist backlash, the perpetuation of beauty definitions that are unrealistic, and the inevitable rise in anorexia and other body image disorders that comes from society.

I find myself grateful for this opportunity...I lucked into a great therapist (Roger is a former Clinical Director whose retired and came back to do direct service) who uses cognitive and behavioral therapy...we started out setting goals (my over arching one is to make and sustain friendships) and have moved into homework and examining my "stinky thinkin."  I feel revived and embibed with hope for myself.  School seems like a real possibility.  On the flip side, my income alone will not sustain us and I'm stressed a lot about that.  But, overalll, I am enjoying my first significant growth in some time :)

My latest friend put me on her ignore list.  No real surprise since she and I wanted different things from the friendship.  However, it is very disheartening in it's timing:  last week my therapist gave me a 1 year plan to "make and sustain lasting friendships."  That's problematic for me.  I know this.  Lately I haven't even been able to chat with my mainstay friends--Jenni and Marley and, after identifying how destructive my old means for making friends was, I am not talking to anyone online much either.
