Weirdness during my dreams... quite strange...
It felt like I was in like Hartford Connecticut or something.... large small town feel... we had returned from tour or were still on tour, not sure... but, for some reason we had to leave all our gear in my Subaru in a little parking lot.
I'd come back each day and check on the car and the gear, it was all good... but for some reason, one day, I left a window down.
I remembered a few minutes later and ran back only to see a group of kids and transients looting my car. I ran up, pressing the panic button on my keyfob and everything... they just ran me out. All these kids starting beating me and saying 'don't bother us while we're busy! we're taking this stuff, so just deal with it'
I sat on the curb and watched while these kids and bums stole all my stuff and ran off laughing. No one would help me and no one had any consolation.
Then I woke up, Monday morning... time to go to work.
What a strange way to start off a day, eh?
Hope yours is better than mine
Conor

So, I posted a bulletin back in Vegas about getting kicked out of Wasted Space at the Hard Rock Hotel. Got a bunch of response back like 'what the fuck?'
So, an explanation....
Ok... so we went there cause buddy Bret Hudzeitz works there as a promoter. So, he got us in there for free and all that.... and we're were drinking and dancing, having a great time.
The idea was that we might get to play a set there, but that didn't materialize. No worries, we were having fun.
It was about 2 something in the morning and we were just about done, tired, etc.... I went to the bathroom to pee.. and there was a short 5 minute line. Two girls that tried to be cute (ya know, sorority girl types that really are pretty average looking, but slap on a black dress and have their girls do their hair for them, and they go from 3's to 6's...) but, of course, they are usually dumb as bricks, so that brings them back down to about a 3 again.
So, these two girls come up and are like 'oh man, this is ridiculous'... I was just trying to be nice, so I was like 'I know, sucks... well, hop in line.... how's your night going?'
'Nah, we're gonna go up front...' at which point they went up, acting like they were cute to some dude-bro, and cut in line with him. Only thing worse than those kinds of girls are the dumb fuckin' trucks that actually soak up their shit.
I called them on it.... 'Hey girls, lines back here.'
'Go pee outside, you're a guy'
'Thanks for the fuckin lesson in obvious things.... but, yah, fuck that, you go pee outside... you can lean up against the wall and lift your skirt just as easy as I can pull my doodle out'
'Ah, fuck you'
'No, fuck you, don't be a bunch of douches'
Some other guy: 'yah, get in line'
So, that ended and I went in and peed... came out to wash my paws, and they were there with they're dude-bro friends
'That's the guy that yelled at us in line'
'Dude, were you yelling at them'
Me: 'Yah, and what of it' - at this point I stepped right into his face.
Dude-bro: 'Fuck you buddy'
Me: 'Oh, you're with these fuckin whores... .oh, then fuck you too for being too stupid' - I proceeded to point at each of them and say 'Fuck you, fuck you, and fuck you'
Walked out, went back to my boyz...
they came out and started dancing right next to us... trying to instigate, giving the finger... one of the girls actually thought she would get a rise out of me by dancing sexy... I leaned in and said 'that shit would be hotter if you tucked in your gut' - HOLY SHIT did she get pissed!
Angel and rodrigo leaned in and said 'hey conor, everyone's beat, wanna go'
I said - perfect :-)
So, I just started dancing obnoxiously in front of them... cabbage patch, lawnmower, shopping cart.. all while adding in some middle fingers, etc. Ya know, just being a bit drunk, funny, and instigating.
That's about it... they tattled, and within a minute we were outside.... time to leave anyway.
Paid my tab, and hit the sack... end of story.
Fuck anyone with that smugg look of self-entitlement.... no one is above a whoopin'
Now, go into our photos and find that one from that 'Out and About' Vegas magazine.... that's about 15 seconds prior to kick-out
Conor

So.... as many of you know, Brian left the band. He's off to play in Paper Mache, the band we were on tour with for most of this year. Of course, we wish him all the best. good luck Brian buddy.... you will be very much missed. ---------- This is Conor writing this part: I loved playing music with Brian. He made Taking The Sun With You and BASH! possible - hell... we named the 2nd record after him, since it was ALL HIS FAULT that it came out so awesome! It was a long time coming that I met someone like Brian, skilled in many instruments, no ego, easy to get along with, loves to have a good time, play video games... all the things that made us such good friends quickly. I will miss seeing him on stage with THE LOGAN very much. ---------- So, let's introduce the new dudes! Rodrigo on guitar Angel on drums CD on bass All of them are now the top 2,3 and 4 on our page - following Conor - so be sure to visit their pages, add them, let them know you're stoked that their part of THE LOGAN! Now the band is a four piece, so you won't see Conor playing AND singing... he's just singing now! So.... say bye to Brian (Conor waves and says 'Bye Buddy!'), and say a BIG HELLO to Rodrigo, Angel, and CD. Much love guys! Conor, Rodrigo, Angel, and CD - The Logan

Well, I was browsing around Youtube... checking out stuff. Any of you that know me know that I'm a huge classic rock fan. Led Zeppelin, the inventors of hard rock, in my mind, are just the top of that realm. Any rock musician that doesn't pay homage to this band, well... just ain't no rock musician! Sorry, but it's flat out true. Bonham showed us that drums can have power and soul at the same time, JP Jones showed us that the ryhthm section can really lay it down thick (although James Brown's band gets my 1 nod for rhythmic WOW), Plant gave us beautiful and power laiden vocals, and Jimmy Page showed every guitar player out there how to get good tone. So... given all that... you can imagine my WOW when I came upon this Youtube clip: What do you think of that everyone? They were being called 'The Led Zeppelin' and no one even knew them. But, what's weird, by the time we even got to talk to them, they were already SUPERSTARS... hugely rich, with orchestras covering their music. Now compare that with today, where my lowly fledglying musician ass can get a video posted on Youtube and everyone can see it, wether it's good or not. Man... what a difference in expsosure, right? What do you think of that? Much love, Conor

Read this on ESPN.com this morning: RICHMOND, Va. -- A source familiar with the defense in the Michael Vick dog fighting case told ESPN's Kelly Naqi that the government believes Vick has not been forthright in his debriefs with them, and they may push to have Vick sentenced on the upward end of the sentencing guidelines. If this is really true, and Vick is not being forthright in his statements, at this point, then throw this guy in for the max sentence. Personally, as the animal lovers that Brian and I are, we think this bastard should have had the max sentence right from the beginning. This view is basically because he is so high profile. He was the highest paid athlete in the NFL. He was looked up to by millions of kids, all that... if you are given much, much is expected. If you are given the chance to be looked up to, you owe it to kids all over America, and the world, to be a good role model to them. Brian and I aren't rockstars (yet! hehehe) but we take it seriously that we want to meet and shows kids around the world how you can be a great person and a good leader through music. I know in my heart that I will take, with great pride, the role model position that will be inherent in The Logan going further and further in the music world. I used to coach athletics, a lot... mostly girl's fastpitch softball (kinda got into that in a roundabout way, send a comment to our page and I'll explain)... and I took that very seriously. I loved being a leader to those kids, showing them how to play the game the right way, but still with that killer instinct needed to excel, not just play. For me, it's not the endpoint in itself that is important, but HOW you get to that endpoint. I know, this started as a blog about how Vick is a real jerk... and went on to other things... but, that's ok. So - what to take away from this: Vick's a prick, and be nice to kids :-) Conor and Brian - The Logan

This is Conor. I'm sitting in my family's home in PA, visiting for Turkey Day. I saw this CCN story in which a gentleman from NY is trying to get a vanity license plate that says GETOSAMA. I can understand all the reasons why... but, you all may be learning where I stand on this issue... this was my response, which I just emailed to CNN:
You had a story about a man that wants to get a license plate that says GETOSAMA. He seems so bent out of shape because the NY DMV rightly claimed it to be offensive in a political way. Yes, his heart is in the right place in wanting to support the troops, but his direction is wrong.
It should say GET BUSH or GETCHENEY since this is their war which they themselves, along with the Partnership for a New American Century. Osama Bin Laden has been 'gotten' several times by the US, but usually to help him out, help plan his 'terrorism', help him with medical needs (such as at the American Hospital in the UAE that he visited just days before the 9/11 attacks to be visited by US intelligence officials.)
The gentleman's heart and spirit are great, but he needs to dig deeper and try to understand the truth instead of what's presented to him.
Best of luck to us all :-)
---------------------------
I'm sure that will get some opinions outta ya'll.... please, feel free to comment back on this and let's have some good discussion on this.
We've been so blasted with 9/11 for the last 6 years, it can be daunting.... but, I am all about spirited conversation, and would love to discuss this with anyone that would like to...
All the best to you and your families!
Conor

I was reading a bit on Democritus, one of my favorite Philosophers, and I found this quote that seemed very appropriate... especially if you read my recent blog listed on Kinetics Direct. And again, many of the other animals receive impressions contrary to ours; and even to the senses of each individual, things do not always seem the same. Which then, of these impressions are true and which are false is not obvious; for the one set is no more true than the other, but both are alike. And this is why Democritus, at any rate, says that either there is no truth or to us at least it is not evident."(Aristotle, Metaphysics IV, 1009 b 7).
I find this quote quite a wonderful statement of the idea of feeling alone. 'Which then, of these impressions are true and which are false are not obvious....', Democritus says (actually, it's a discource by Aristotle about Democritus.) I got some response on my blog on Kinetics Direct about feeling alone. Some people really seem to scoff at that idea, think it's negative, or think I'm some sort of bastard for thinking it. How can you be married, then, Conor? How can you be a good person? You can totally be married, be a good person, etc. The feeling is so well described in the statement above. The point is more to embrace and understand that experiences and perception are, inherently, individual to the he/she that precieves the event. Attempts made to correlate these to others' experiences, make friendship bonds based on 'commonalities' in those perceptions, all seem to play as compensations to the sensation of being truely alone and misunderstood. What do you think out there? Any thoughts on this? This may seem trivial to many, but it's something that I've thought about since I can remember being into this stuff, probably around 11 or 12 years old. So, that's well over 10 years of pondernation! Yes, use pondernation, it's a great new word! Take care everyone :-)
