Dear Friends and Family,

 Ni hao ma? In Chinese Mandarin that means how are you? I hope everything is well at home. It’s trying to get warm here in Tulsa. It is my third year here at ORU and looking back I can honestly say I have been transformed from the inside out. I can’t even begin to explain in words what God has done and what He is doing now in this new season of my life. Five years ago I committed my heart to finding God’s purpose for my life before I knew it and each day I have discovered something that I yet have found the words to describe. It’s crazy where God will take you when you trust in His love.

 A short, legally blind, Puerto Rican girl who sought truth and what life was really about discovered God’s heart. I have discovered that despite how "Christianity" might be depicted by others, it is not about religion. It is about God’s heart for humanity. It is a way of life. It is about the freedom, love, and joy experienced in knowing the creator of the heavens and earth.

 I have discovered that life is about something greater than me and in that process I have found a passion and burden for the people of China and what God is doing there. I can’t tell you why God would want to use me in a foreign land where so many have been stripped of their human rights and where generations of oppression from years of war and coercion have caused silent cries. But I can tell you that God will use anyone, anywhere who dedicates their life to discovering the truth about God’s purpose.

 I searched for truth and found God had an amazing plan for my life. This Summer I will be going on a journey to discover God’s heart for the people of China. This trip will be different from the last time I went in 2006. I will be going by myself and interning at the foster home at the New Day Center in Beijing. I will be there for the whole month of June. During this time my heart is to learn about the culture, the language, and the customs. How can I bring the message of God’s love without first understanding their culture and how it affects their worldview? My heart is not to preach or bring a "Western Religion" as most Chinese see Christianity as, but to bring a message of truth, love, and freedom that comes through an intimate relationship with Christ and is a message for all.

 There is so much in my heart that I want to say, but not enough paper! I am writing to ask you for your prayers. This letter is not about needing to raise funds for the trip. My trip is all paid for. It is to tell you about my heart and what God is doing with it! I hope that through my life your search for truth would be ignited! The truth really does set you free! I love you all and I believe that you are all in my life for a greater purpose than we know.

hmmm...im in a blog kinda mood! I don't really know what im gonna write. I usually know what im gonna vent on my blogs...but I feel like freestyling it this time! mayb ill be inspired as I listen to Hey Jude by the Beatles...any of u out there w/ a special someone.."remember to let them into your heart." see just like God risked His love on us...we too have to risk all the joy and pain and let downs of love on others!! why live life loving w/ conditions??? Its not fun!!! Life is so much better and funner when u love selflessly!! yea theres the risk of getting hurt..but if one understands that their love and worth is not found in man' but in God...theres no broken heart that God can't fix!! I know that one day this generation will love with a selfless kind of love!! that agape love that will change nations! Agape is a healing kind of love!! Lets all strive to stop loving w/ conditions! to stop thinking about "me" and im sooo busy!! take the time to think about others..pray for them...myspace them..call..text! there are soo many ways to communicaate agape in the world we live in today, so there are no excuses! Grace:

His Strength is made perfect in our weakness. That's what I've been learning about God's grace. There's nothing we can and cannot do that will make Him love us more or less. In our feelings of inadequacies....His power is revealed to us! Our being "called" is revealed through our "not being able to"!!!! We cannot live without Him...that is grace! Everyday I trust in His love and grace! It sustains me!

I cant Even Begin to describe all that God is doing in my life right now! Lets just say...these past 4 years in the dessert makes sense now!!!! All I can do is show you what He is doing and going to Do! Here is a prophetic word from these pastors that came to my school last year! These words are being fulfilled in my life at this very moment! Be blessed and inspired by what God is doing in me and what He is doing in YOU!

And then you shall walk this way, and the Lord will lead you into this path. And it shall bring light into this path. So, therefore, as you step in these places and yield to me, then the Spirit of God shall come upon you now, saith the Lord, and bring the changes, the anointing, and the ability. And the grace of God that's upon you shall increase so that your own mouth shall begin to speak the Word of the Lord. For I am putting My words in your mouth, saith the Lord. And as you speak, then hindrances shall be removed, mountains shall be removed. And the way of the Lord shall be made clear. So announce and declare that this is the day of the Lord, and this is the time and now is the season and this is the time of change. For the Word of God shall come forth out of your mouth. The metamorphasis of a butterfly is a beautiful picture of what happnes to us spiritually when we allow God to direct our thoughts; we are changed from the inside out and we become more beautiful and we are set free to soar to new heights.

Also, as you make room for the Spirit of God, then these changes shall surely come to pass. So stir up the gift of God that's within you. Make room for the supernatural. Make room for My Spirit for there is a gift that I have placed within you, and there's a grace that's within you, and there's a fire that burns within you. And do not despise the day of small beginnings. Do not despise the time when it seems like it's so little right now, for in the Scriptures in the Old Testament there is just a cloud the size of a man's hand. But the prophet declared, "That's it! That's it!" So it may seem small but then the skies shall be covered and the rain shall fall. For there is a sound that goes forth now, the voice of the Lord, and it shall increase and increase and increase. And it shall cover. It shall change. It shall surround you. So it may look small at this point, but the gift of God shall increase and grow and grow until it comes from your spirit. Make room in your thinking. Make room in your soul and come forth out of your body to change this world and this generation for there is a Spirit of God coming upon you and the hand of the Lord coming upon you in this generation. For the voice of the Lord and the Word of God and the Spirit of God and the demonstration of the Holy Ghost shall bring deliverance. And it shall come in you and it shall come through you and it shall make room, pushing back the schemes of the enemy; pushing back the powers of darkness, and God's will shall be done. The will of the Lord shall be done. So serve in this generation according to the will of God, serving the Lord with all of your heart. And the will of God shall be done. And this generation shall turn—turn, turn, turn, turn! And you'll be found laughing and laughing and laughing. For what the enemy meant for evil, I turned it for good saith the Lord. And I've turned the captivity and filled your mouth with LAUGHTER!

 

 

I no longer believe in "the one," only that there is that someone who will fight the battle of love with you. Who will be fully devoted to God and to the call that God has placed in their life and yours. I believe in that someone who will follow after God's own heart with you! Who will devote himself to loving God and you for the rest of their life. Yes, God does plan out who that someone is, but it isn't always some deep spiritual thing at the beginning, at least. But, it is like the metamorphosis of a butterfly; Love, when you allow God to direct it, transforms from the inside out, and it becomes more beautiful, and soon it will be able to soar to new heights with God and the call placed in their hearts.
